Usually I eat breakfast at home but this Friday morning my boyfriend and I decided to go to First Watch in Port Orange. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. Our waitress Samantha greeted us with a welcoming smile. My boyfriend and I both have worked in the restaurant industry, so when we notice above and beyond great service we appreciate it! She was the best we have had in awhile in this area. She was very helpful with the menu and just all around pleasant to have. She sparked up good conversation every time she came to check on our satisfaction with the food and Iced coffee(which was amazing!) Since the review I was contacted by the general manager. I told him all of the issues, he was very nice and respectful. He said he was visiting this location later and would address these issues. He sent me a $20 gift card and asked my family to give them another try. Our waitress (I believe her name was Samatha) was great at her job. When a drink was empty it was refilled before we could ask. It was by far the best experience we've had at this location and they're definitely making steps in the right direction with their service. read more

Food was great but service was terrible! For example, when we first sat down as I was adjusting my chair I cut myself on a sharp edge on the chair... I told the manager and asked for a bandaid or alcohol swab to clean it, he said sure but then I never came back with anything or even to say they don't have anything The waiter took about 35-40 minutes to take our order even though it wasn't really busy he just kept disappearing in the back so I couldn't get refills on my coke either I heard there's another branch in Daytona so maybe go there because the food is good but the port orange branch is poorly managed read more

The atmosphere is fresh with a friendly host staff and great food. We came in for lunch and were seated in about 10 minutes. That's pretty awesome for a Sunday at lunch time. The staff members were pleasant and the food arrived quickly. I had the Market Hash which is like a breakfast bowl. "Two cage-free eggs any style atop fresh, seasoned potatoes, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, zucchini, shallots, red peppers, baby spinach, melted Mozzarella and herbed Goat cheese. Served with whole grain artisan toast." It was fantastic! Great portion size, seasoned nicely and it also came with a fruit cup. We will definitely be back to First Watch again soon. A lot of reviews on other sites hit on poor customer service and I can see why. In comparison to calling Monterey Grill (friendly, upbeat, informative) the manager who answered at first watch was incredibly rude. I had wanted to ask menu questions and bring a group of people in, but decided on a different spot for brunch instead. Safe to say the food is irrelevant when the customer service is trash on the phone; I can't imagine how much worse it could get in person. read more

Homeboy brought us to our table. Appeared as though it was gonna be a good experience, first impression is definitely the first. Not a great experience. My girl and I went there for breakfast and somehow it managed to take a little over two hours to get through with forgotten food items. Honestly I would not waste your time the food was meh and the service was even worse. It took forever to even get our food. We had to ask a different waiter for more water and another bloody Mary because our waiter disappeared for 20+ minutes. Seriously dude it's breakfast why would it take an hour to get the food cooked and how can you explain abandoning your tables for an extended amount of time and having nobody cover for you. Every table in the joint look perplexed and continuously looking at the kitchen looking and waiting for their food as well. Do you like crispy bacon? I mean REALLY crispy bacon? Then this is your place. The eggs and potatoes were barely average. The place was only half full and it seemed to take forever to get our food. In their defense our waitress was really nice and she did bring me some (undercooked) bacon as a replacement. I have been here mostly for breakfast/brunch and I love their selections, always fresh and delicious. Well during this Covid -19, physical distancing we were out gathering supplies and decided to have Lunch. We checked their website to make sure they were open and we read about their sanitizing protocols, and how they are operating at 50 percentage capacity and practicing social distancing within the restaurant. So we decided to stop for lunch and so glad we did. Only certain tables were available for service, the others were marked not available, meaning you were 6 feet away or more from another table, perfect. We had a very delicious lunch, service was fabulous as always. Unfortunately only 3 others were dining. More people need to get out and support local restaurants, they are keeping you safe. I gave this place two stars only because I generally love First Watch. I'm from Jacksonville, and they're huge up here. But we went to this location last weekend while I was in Port Orange/Daytona area. The food was good, besides my omelet being slightly undercooked. But our waitress was TERRIBLE. She was never to be found. It took quite a while to even be able to order drinks. Also, she started clearing off our table while we were still eating. I'm not talking empty plates. I'm talking about plates with food still on them that we were still picking at. She would grab them, we'd have to tell her we were still eating it, so she'd make us put the food on another plate so she could take that one. At one point she even took my grits without saying a word and it only had one bite taken out of them. I literally had a bowl of grits that was still 95% full and she just took it and walked away without a word. Who does that?! So I get charged for grits when I had one spoonful... . awesome. Will not return to this location. Wish I hadn't left a tip, but oh well. read more

Upon arrival, it was about a 30 minute wait to be seated which my party was completely fine with as we showed up during the brunch time rush. After being seated, it took a little bit for a server to come to our table. We placed our order, and waited around an hour for our food to come out only to find out our orders were brought to the wrong table and the food had to be remade. We were not made aware of this mistake until we flagged down our waitress asking where our food was. Multiple parties , and even large parties at that, had been seated after us and received their food well before we did. The eggs in two of our dishes (eggs Benedict and an egg sandwich) were over cooked and the potatoes were salty. It's quite pricey for mediocre food, and the portions are not that large. We were compensated for the inconvenience which was greatly appreciated. However, we would not consider returning again. Also during checkout, the recommended tipping options were reflective of the total prior to the discount being added, so be aware of that. read more

The noise was incredibly loud and then they play music over the din of the concrete floors, big windows and metal chairs. First, very nice decor. Second, the "Million Dollar Bacon" is wonderful except I didn't notice the word "cayenne" in the description" so very spicy. I ordered tomato basil soup and it was so hot that I needed up taking it home to eat. When I ordered I asked for a cup of soup, waitress said no cup, just bowls. Yet, on the menu you can get a cup with a 1/2 sandwich. So my first no. Later I asked about the bacon & said next time I would order without the cayenne, "no" all premade in the morning.
