What a fabulous place to have breakfast ! I met four of my friends here, which was very clean. We each ordered our individual plates, but we wanted to try the pumpkin pancakes so we ordered two and split them between the five of us. We also had to try the million dollar bacon, four come to an order. We split these and they were very delicious, I totally recommend to try. We will be bring back to order the pancakes with our kids! Bottom Line Up Front: Above Average Restaurant for San Antonio. The quality of the food is proportionate to the price, which is where I believe this particular establishment should fall in line. The presentation of the food and the customer service is above the standard you find in this town. The major downside is an App to get on the waitlist. The accuracy of the wait time experienced versus what is estimated does not come close to meeting the mark. My retort to not taking phone request is those in that generational gap of technology proficiency. My recommendation is to have an App, take phone calls and website check-ins for getting on a wait list. By generating a multi-platform capability, you can capture all technology skill levels to entice all paying customers. Time is a resource we never get more of, so why spend it as a customer waiting on a table? The food: I ordered the bacado omelette. The toast was pre-buttered, which, for my liking, there was too much butter and I'd rather control how much or how little I slather on my bread. The potatoes were undercooked on some of the potatoes; so, I would recommend them cooking longer to a more crispy state. I've been to this chain restaurant in Illinois and Kentucky. Now here in Texas. I've noticed that where you are, the menu can have some variations. The food was great here. (They usually are). It's just that the server ignored me after I got my food, which was annoying. Sometimes I go out by myself to eat, and wait staff will ignore a single person thinking there will be a low tip, and opt to focus on a larger table. Great staff doesn't do this, but some still do. My waitress here did that, and I received no refills on my tea or napkins, or anything's else. Sometimes I will even place an order to go for lunch to take home, but nope. She just came by to drop a check and keep on walking. So I didn't order the extra food that day, and she lost out on the extra money. Oh well. read more

We were looking for a good brunch spot with good food and good service. We decided to try first watch and the experience was minimal. The mimosas are $8.49 for a small bottle of cheap barefoot champagne and a cup of orange juice. The silverware was also extremely dirty, even when we asked for new silverware the new silverware was still dirty and they hand wrap the silverware in a napkin so they had to have seen it dirty. The million dollar bacon was good and honestly pretty filling. We got 4 slices of bacon for $5.99 so that was decent. My power bowl was good but it could've been a little warmer. It's very filling and low calorie. The potatoes were also a little undercooked and bland. The chicken chonga was very good, definitely recommend trying!! The elevated egg sandwich was very bland and truthfully mediocre. For a total of over $100 for 3 people I think it was a little overpriced for the experience. read more

You can never go wrong with First Watch. Fresh ingredients and a varied menu with some healthy options. Very similar to a Farm-to-table concept. They have several good variations in Eggs Benedict where you can't go wrong. This location has a very friendly wait staff and they stay on top of your service. Can get a little crowded but the wait times are pretty minimal. read more

First time in San Antonio and had an occasion to visit. For starters, the atmosphere was open and welcoming. The restrooms were clean and the kitchen seemed clean from what can be seen. Seating was quick, although the food took a while., like 20 minutes for simple breakfast fare. What's worse is that three of us almost finished before the two remaining of our party was served. I don't understand why a waffle and eggs over easy take so long. When my meal finally came, the eggs were literally cold. The sausage links were also cold. I was offered a new plate of eggs, but declined since it had been a while since I'd last seen the waitress and everyone was done eating. The waffle was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitress adjusted the bill on account of the cold eggs, which I appreciate. She was very pleasant and easy to talk with. Unfortunately the overall experience wasn't what I'd consider great. We ordered coffee and orange juice for drinks. They also have alcoholic breakfast beverages if that is more your speed. Both drinks were great! They bring you your own pot of coffee which in itself is great. I hate when they pour your coffee to the brim, and you have no room for cream and sugar which I HAVE to have in my coffee. But the orange juice. Mmmmm!!! Go for the large. You won't regret it. Freshly squeezed! So yummy!!! I ordered the French toast. My husband ordered the eggs with biscuits and gravy. We also ordered an order of bacon to share. Everything was amazing! The bacon has a peppery taste, but the syrupy liquid on top made it perfect. The French toast came with hot maple syrup and a raspberry or strawberry preserves to put on top. I suggest you use both. I mean you can totally eat it by itself, but the two tastes together were great. Portions were generous. I had to take home my second slice of French toast. Service was great. Stumbled into First Watch after a long night shift and had the most amazing breakfast ever! First of all, the decor is absolutely adorable. It has a southern taste with the wooden touches. The menu had options for days and had the waiter asking if I was ready to order like 3 times until I finally made my mind up realizing I needed to return to try more. I ordered the morning meditation which was one of their drinks from the fresh juice bar and the smoked salmon eggs Benedict! It was sooooooooooo good. The waiter was extremely attentive and kind. He made us feel welcomed and took his time to explain the menu. I wish I remembered his name but he had the spikey hair with a blue tint to it. I will definitely return. Yum! So excited to see that First Watch added alcohol to their drink menu. That's the only thing this place was missing. The farmhouse hash is still a favorite of mine. The Kale Tonic is delicious and sweet. Love the regular hot coffee. Large menu so there are lots of options. The multigrain wheat bread is made specifically for these restaurants. I read online that you can order a loaf from the manager! Would love to go back and ask for a loaf! Plenty of healthy options. Friendly staff and chill vibe. Great spot for brunch. read more

First thing we see when we walk in is a lady asking for a table for nine, but they are not there yet, she just wants to let them know so they can get the table ready. I had the classic eggs benedict and my child had a full order of blueberry pancakes. We also ordered a side of million dollar bacon that was excellent. It sweet smoky and peppery all at the same time. The eggs that topped the eggs benedict were poached to perfection. Just the right amount of runny egg yolk to compliment the ham and english muffin. Parking can be somewhat challenging if the center is busy but they're plenty of spots available in the back. Have been here at least a dozen times and not had any bad service yet. Food seems fresh and quality ingredients. Not say... your carton eggs that you'd get from IHOP or another retail breakfast chain. I normally get an omelette or pancakes and the misses gets the waffle. None has disappointed yet. Highly recommend the place for some good breakfast. I had the Carnitas Bowl with pork carnitas and corn bread topped with avocados, pico, sour cream and poached eggs. (Disclaimer ... I dropped the black beans) The carnitas were perfectly seasoned. The eggs were poached to my exact liking. Yet the corn bread and pico made this meal. The corn bread is cooked loaf style, sliced and then browned in pan with butter. Yum!! When I asked if my portion was two eggs BRENT decided to say "unfortunately we don't have x-large eggs we have medium sized eggs". First of all why even say that when clearly the portion size was nowhere close to two eggs. Such a BS statement on his part. Stopped in for lunch with my spouse after an appointment nearby. We were greeted and seated promptly. The server was friendly and very attentive. My spouse ordered a Western Omelet. It was huge and served with a side salad and very thick toast. He was very happy with his meal and wouldn't let me steal the delicious looking toast. I tried the BLT Eggs Benedict at the recommendation of our server. It was quite good, although the avocado slices were kind of small for the portion. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bread underneath was spot on. The side of seasoned potatoes was very good. Overall we had a satisfying dining experience. Came here for a brunch type of meal. They had so many different options on the menu. Also the daily specials were really interesting! I had the Eggs Benedict with bacon. I don't like the poached egg wet at all and they made it perfect for me. The flavors of the special sauce and the bacon and egg together was phenomenal. The waiter Glenn was funny and served us well. The restaurant is kind of like a family oriented set up where it's a big room and lots of open tables. They also have like a little party room for special events.
