I love to have a good breakfast on the weekends and first watch is one of my favorite places to go. They have such fresh food, with some great healthy options. My favorite dish is the skillet hash...there are three different kinds and all are fantastic. I also love their avocado toast which has a generous portion of avocado. I've been going here ever since I first visited ASU. I love it because they have healthy options rather than just fattening breakfast foods. I never leave feeling grossly full which is the best. Everyone that works there is super nice I've never had a problem with the workers there. The food is amazing! One thing I absolutely recommend are the juices. I always get the Kale tonic but they are both great and only about $4 I think. This time I got the elevated egg sandwich with the potato hash. Amazing per usual! I will start if by saying I am/was a regular here. Today the service has been so bad I am not sure I will return. I am sitting here at the table. I have been waiting for my good for a very long time. The waitress just came to let me know the kitchen is backed up. My daughter got her food and finished eating already 15 minutes ago, and I am still waiting on mine to come. People that came in just 10 minutes before us already got their food, ate and left. I am not sure what the deal is today. The customer service is always on point and the staff is extremely knowledgeable about the menu and what the next best thing is to try on their menu!! I was glad to see the first review for this, because I had been looking for a location close to home. The hostess/cashier was friendly, & offered a newspaper to read. The server was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, offering good suggestions. I liked that they offer different types of sausage, chicken or turkey, nice alternatives to the typical greasy pork ones. I usually don't get a juice for breakfast, but couldn't pass up the kale apple tonic, very good. I also liked that they put containers of coffee, and water at the table, saves you from constantly flagging down someone for refills. The coffee was very good, food came out quickly, very fresh tasting, quality ingredients. Definitely a place to return to. read more

The first time I went there I got a salad & it was really good! This time I went I got their chicken salad melt & holy moly I am on a constant food crave for it!! Fresh and delicious food! I finished every bite of my Frittata Rustica breakfast. Coffee was nice and hot, served in a table carafe for our own refills and flavored creamer was available, which we liked. We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes as a dessert and they were fabulous! These 3 massive pancakes were enough for 3 people. The 3 star review after all of this? Service. Super slow service. Set aside plenty of time to eat here. I have to say that the food was amazing! Our family often loves to come here but after the incredibly rude service provided by Sofie none of us plan on returning! Not even a busy day and drinks went Un filled dirty dishes remained the check came before we even finished eating and all we got was an eye roll when asking to order something to go after that. This was the first time I have visited this restaurant at any of their locations. It came very highly recommended to me. The food was very good and plentiful. BUT the service was not good. The waitress took forever to bring us our coffee, take our order, but especially in delivering our meal. It was well over 30 minutes from the time we ordered until we got our breakfast. I was on the verge of walking out to get to my next appointment on time. While I understand that the delay may be no fault of the server, she seemed neither concerned nor apologetic about the delay. I first discovered this brunch spot in Montgomery Alabama 5 years ago and then it opened in the Denver Metro area where I was living. It was on my top 5 for brunch spots due to wide variety of options and seasonal juices. Since moving to the Phoenix Metro area, I have dined at 2 separate locations one in Glendale and and North Scottsdale. They were both meh. The Glendale location was super crowded but that seems to be the case every brunch spot especially in the West Valley. The Market Scramble I usually get was just ok, which was disappointing. Because we were sitting outside our water became warm immediately, so I suggest adding some ice to the glasses or water containers. The poor servers were definitely overwhelmed so no complaints there. The outdoor seating needs work...it was infested with lots of birds which make it hard to enjoy your food. If you have outdoor seating, don't just throw it together, make it just as comfortable as if you are sitting inside. The Scottsdale location was less busy which was nice and surprising, their outdoor seating was super cool as they have the garage door thing going and no bird infestation. Our server was AWESOME, but the food was meh... I ordered the pumpkin pancakes and chicken sausage. I only got 1 super sad looking pancake and it tasted pretty bland, not at all like fresh pumpkin. The sausage was bland tasting as well. The coffee was good. I say all of this to say with so many other options no more First Watch for me, but as always try it for yourself read more
