Fish With You | K-Town Finally tried Fish With You in K-Town! Everything we ordered was delicious, portions were generous, and the price was very reasonable. Great value for the money! Green Peppercorn Pickled Fish - Tender, flavorful fish with a delicious spicy kick. Tomato Black Fish Fillet - Mild, tangy, and perfect for kids. The fish was very tender with very few bones, so I felt comfortable letting my child eat it. Spicy Boiled Beef - Tender beef, rich flavor, and super good with rice. Crispy Fried Pork - Crispy, juicy, and really tasty. Coconut Lava Balls - Sweet, soft, and full of coconut flavor. A perfect dessert after a spicy meal! Overall, delicious, affordable, and kid-friendly. Definitely a great spot for a family meal!

Visiting Fish With You was like a little trip to China Suancai Fish was a new experience for me. Spicy, but tolerable for my western European palate :). I love the effect of Sichuan - a subtle numbing of your lips and tongue. Dishes tried: Signature Hot-oil Sauerkraut Fish Coconut Curry Fish Golden Soup Beef Slices Linyi-Style Stir-Fried Chicken Giant Grilled Squid Skewer Taiwanese Sausage Fish With You 3470 W 6th St n.5, Los Angeles, CA 90020

Fish With You introduced me to a dish I'd never tried before: Suancai Fish, and it ended up being my favorite part of the meal. The broth had an amazing balance of tangy, savory, and mildly spicy flavors, and the fish was incredibly tender. We also ordered the Coconut Curry Fish, Golden Soup Beef, Linyi-style stir-fried chicken, Taiwanese sausage, and the grilled giant squid skewer. Everything was well prepared, and it was a fun way to experience dishes that aren't as common on most Chinese restaurant menus. If you're looking to branch out from the usual takeout favorites, this is a great place to discover authentic regional Chinese flavors in Koreatown.

Came here with a group because I've been craving sauerkraut fish ever since my last trip to Taiwan, and Fish With You definitely hit the spot. We started with the crispy fried pork and grilled giant squid skewers as appetizers. Both were well seasoned and a good start to the meal. The highlight for me was the sauerkraut fish. We upgraded to the snakehead fish and the texture was really good -- silky, bouncy, and tender. The broth had a nice level of spice and paired perfectly with rice. We also ordered the golden soup beef slices which had tender meat and came with a nice variety of ingredients like tofu skin and noodles. The coconut curry fish was another favorite at the table because of the creamy flavor with a slight kick of spice. The stir-fried chicken definitely brought the heat with plenty of chilies throughout the dish. The decor was definitely unique and caught our attention right away -- it honestly gave us some Temu vibes. Overall, if you're a fan of sauerkraut fish or looking to try something different in Koreatown, this spot is worth checking out.

Will my kids actually eat this? That was my biggest question before visiting Fish With You in K-Town. The spicy dishes had my girls reaching for water... But they kept going back for another bite because they were so addictive. Then came the Tomato Beef Soup. My girls kept saying, "This is better than HaiDiLao!" Honestly... I have to agree. The tomato broth was rich, comforting, and incredibly flavorful. I can totally see why so many people rave about this place. We loved it so much that we ordered another bowl before leaving. Safe to say we'll definitely be back.

The portion is huge! The fish is very good. The soup is rich and flavorful. Highly recommend this place 10/10!

This spot offers a variety of Chinese sauerkraut fish soups which span from spicy, sour, savory, and mala (numbing spice). We tried the golden soup with fish and added on beef as an extra. The large size works well for 2-3 people and came with two bowls of rice. I'd recommend the golden soup! I thought it was a really good mix of spicy, sour and numbing flavors. Great comfort food! Prices are super reasonable and pretty cheap for groups too! The inside is super cozy and causal with a bright orange and white color scheme. The booths and seats are comfy too. We ordered using the QR code on the table and then walked up to the cashier to pay, so the experience felt was mainly self-serviced and efficient.

Haven't been back for a while, they have more varieties. Food still good, hope it would last longer as Ktown is very competitive

This type of food you usually have to venture east into SGV to have so I'm grateful for its existence in KTown. I heard from the waiter that perhaps the heat has mellowed out since they opened the place so I wish I ordered spicier. Each pot (single size) was gigantic and filled with all sorts of goodies, including wide glass noodles and xian cai and mu er. The fish was solid, not qq. I preferred the mao xue wang just because I haven't had that in so long. Hecka affordable given all the real spices they use. Will be back.

Pretty yummy but I don't think I'll come back. They offer a free drink for a five star review on yelp or google so I'm assuming the good reviews are mostly for that. We ordered the signature snakehead fish and the beef soup and a squid skewer. Both soups were pretty yummy and paired well with rice but the soups were super salty and I feel like it must've had a lot of msg. It tastes very reminiscent to hot pot soup base at popular restaurants. The squid skewer was really tender and well seasoned. All in all, the dishes were yummy but I wish there was more variety in the stuff inside. Service is very quick. Each dish is under $20 before tax / tip and comes with rice.

Looking for an affordable, BIG pot of sauerkraut fish in Ktown LA? Fish With You has options under $20 Their golden soup beef is rich, super addictive, and perfect with rice The hot oil sauerkraut beef brings a spicy kick--just look at all that chili The tomato beef pot is loaded with SO much beef (non-spicy & so comforting) And the lemon fish is tangy and refreshing Don't forget the night market-style appetizers-- coconut lava balls , Taiwanese sausage, and grilled squid IG: socalhkfoodies

We were doing a night out in K-town, and as the night started to come to a close and we were all danced out, a couple of my friends suddenly started to seemingly obsessively start talking about Fish With You.. "Have you had Fish with You??" "It's so good!" Mind you, we were still on the dance floor. Needless to say, they convinced me. WHAT WE ORDERED: - Signature Hot Oil Sauerkraut Fish - Green Peppercorn Sauerkraut Fish - Thai-Style Tom Yum Fish THE FOOD: They were right. Everything was SO good. It was my first time coming here so I didn't know what to expect, so I personally split the signature with my friend, and it was actually the perfect serving size with two bowls of rice. The soup was SO flavorful and very Sichuan, especially the green peppercorn one. The tom yum was also pretty unique and I might get that for myself next time. The fish was nice and tender and the other ingredients made it really fun. THE SERVICE: We came in close to when the kitchen was about to close - we felt so bad, but the server was so kind and patient and was willing to serve us. Thank you so much!!! THE VIBES: Pretty bright spot, and our table was big enough to seat our group of six. Seems like a good place to either eat with friends or with family. BOTTOM LINE: This place is going to have to be my new go-to after a night out in K-town, especially for when I want to switch it up from Korean food!

An entire restaurant dedicated to one of my favorite dishes?? How could I say no? Fish With You specializes in spicy fish filet soups that you can customize in a malatang style, and it's incredible. I got their classic spicy sauerkraut fish (it's not like German sauerkraut, it's more of the pickled vegetable flavors in Chinese food!) and I was so happy with it. My only complaint would be that they were quite conservative on the toppings we added, we got enoki mushrooms and sweet potato noodles. However, the server was friendly and the fish came out quick! It was also super festive inside for lunar new year, and the interior is clean and bright. I'd definitely come back!

This place is an institution. After I wrote that sentence, I felt like I was trite. And like I said…read moresomething but not really. Like, one time I was watching Project Runway, a season finale episode, where the designers make their own creations, and do not have to make their ensembles from shredded newspaper or bird seeds or pinata remnants. And after a so-and-so of the fashion industry said, "I wanted to go and rip that jacket off the model." This other time, I saw a poster for a coming musical and it said, "stop everything you are doing, and go this musical now" says this important person in the theathre world. What am I am trying to say is that the comment I wanted to do this immediately or drop everything and do this immediately is so overwrought and widely used that it lost all meaning. Kind of like calling this place an institution. So I will call this place what I should to not be drown in my own trite. One time I went to this place and I went cause I was invited to a birthday party. And it was a large group of people. Me and a friend debated if Penny, from the Big Bang, had eaten at this place. She was also in Charmed--- it is a household name, I can't remember it. So this place is famous enough to be a go to move, and it has many pictures of celebrities that have gone there. The food is also super good, so this place, like I said is an insititution. When I went there a second time, I was more aware of the place I was visiting and kind of was ready to receive its Chinese fare with an unhinged jaw. I was dining with a friend, the same friend that I had the is that Penny from Big Bang debate? It was not. She eventually one. But like she and I ate here again, without knowing we were going to the same place. I would say its a small world but.... She and I ate with gusto. It does not take a lot to know that the speciality of the house is their slippery shrimp. They also have slippery chicken and slippery tofu. Super good, sweet, sour but it was not sweet and sour sauce shrimp, it had differences. I am not sure what. There were some heat notes but not like terrible heat. So I am not exactly sure what this place does to make their slippery sauce but let us just that it was delicious and different than other Chinese food sauces. Ronnie and I had the works. Rice, Beef with Brocoli, Pan fried dumplings, and dumpings. It was the type of Chinese food that was so good a coke was needed to balance the decadent saltiness of the fare. Yeah, that might not make sense but I wrote what I wrote. We had eniugh food to share between the two of us. It was that type of meal, where leftovers were welcomed and made sense. They were not left over, they were left untouched because it would be a shame to not enjoy them later. The service was great. The place felt traditional, and like it took you to an alley in China to eat a grandmother's food who knows how to use a Wok and pinch dumplings so they stay close for good. I saw this bad review that skewered this place. And I am like wow! How can we be so different. Not like Ying and Yang Different, more like flutter and flatten. But taste is subjective, so decide for yourself if this place is a peacock worthy of its feathers or a tiger with its claws clipped.

It was a but busy when we got there but luckily we got seared pretty shortly after arrival. We originally wanted to sit at the bar, but opted for a table for less wait time. When first looking at the menu we were shocked by the prices. I knew immediately i wanted to get the hui tou potstikers with pork and noodles. We ended up adding on the hongkong style wontons too. To my suprise the wontons arrived in a delicious and warm broth, keeping them perfectly moist and plump. The broth was so delicious even on a hot day, tasting faintly of sesame and scallion. Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. Enough to take two jars home... i would do it again. Servers were so quick, made sure everything we needed was at the table. Regardless of the crowd we were met with promptness and generosity. We tried a variety of dishes to get a fuller understanding of their menu of what this place has to offer. I was really looking forward to the beef roll because it's usually one of my favorite dishes, but this one was disappointing. I define a good beef roll as one that's a good mix of sweet, savory and refreshing. The meat makes it savory and the veggies are supposed to counter it make the whole dish feel light. If someone disagrees with me, please share your thoughts on what a beef roll should taste like. The one from Pine & Crane was drenched in sauce. I could not taste the meat or the veggies and the whole thing tasted like a stick of sugar. The mapo tofu was on point, but this is quality you can probably make at home. The flavor profile was very similar to that of stuff you'd get a grocery store. The three cup jidori chicken came recommended, so we tried it. The flavor is very pungent and goes well with rice. The cumin lamb was flavorful and spicy. The Mao Cai was spicy, full of meat and the broth was tasty. The boiled fish was my second favorite - spicy and fish was not overcooked. The fried intestines were really great! The shrimp fried rice is ok. I wanted either a whole fish or a whole crab but they ran out - on a Saturday night. They have a good Asian beer selection. $35 for corkage. $6 valet parking with validation. Free for 1 hour only with validation. It's a very casual place. Clean.

The reception wasn't warm as the girl was on the phone and she just waved at us to get in. Food was scrumptious. Their basa fish fillet in chilli sauce had to be the best I've tasted. The fish was tender, sauce yummy, veggies fresh! It was excellently prepared. Husband and Wife beef and tripe slices was another outstanding dish. It was so good I had to order more rice to eat with it therefore happily broke my diet again. Steamd eggplant with pickled condiment on top tended to be on the salty side, it was soft and tasty. I loved it! Service was lukewarm at best. The girl performed her service in a convincingly nonchalant way. But at least I got lemon infused water refilled twice. :) Well decorated with Chinese cultural elements. Very spacious, clean and peaceful ambience. We had a lovely time and will return.
