And my car was ready! Took about 30 minutes. I felt good! Cared for ... not put through the wringer. Throwing my hard earned money away... The worker admitted to do that un purpose because they want you to come back at 3k miles so they can check your car "in case you have a leak" .... mind you, they wont tell you you still have mileage to go, and you are good, NOPE, they will automatically just do an oil change. My husband had to ask them to actually write the return mileage on the sticker at 5k NOT at 3k .... BE AWARE, specially if you are a female (dont be fool by the fact that they have a female worker) THEY WILL SCAM YOU. Not sure how many people are getting oil changes when in reality they didn't need it.

They took the time to explain the repair, confirmed the diagnostic code, and even pointed out a few things I should do to help my Prius last longer. They noticed my hybrid battery cooling fan was missing after I told them I just had it "replaced" at another shop. That's the kind of information you don't usually get from a repair shop. They ended up not needing to drop the subframe, so they adjusted the labor instead of charging me for work they didn't have to do. It still took the amount of time they said it was going to take, but still discounted me a little bit which I thought was cool. I also had them do an oil change while it was there, and even that was less expensive than what I normally pay at places like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. If you own a Prius or any hybrid, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. More than anything, I left feeling like they genuinely know these cars and took the time to educate me, not just fix it. I'll definitely be bringing my Prius back if I ever need anything else.

There was a small delay with updates at first, but with the recent heat and the circumstances at the shop, it was understandable. In the end, we were very happy with the results. I would NEVER recommend this shop…read more I brought my 2013 Honda Civic in because it was kicking back/hesitating while accelerating, even struggling to get onto the freeway. I paid a diagnostic fee because I wanted the problem diagnosed and repaired--not routine maintenance. The shop recommended a fuel system/injector cleaning and transmission fluid service, telling me that was the cause of my issue. I trusted their diagnosis and paid. The very next morning, my Check Emission System light came on. I returned, and they told me it was unrelated to the previous work, diagnosed a thermostat issue (P0128), and I paid for that repair too. After picking up my car the second time, the exact same acceleration problem was still happening, and while driving, the Check Emission System, Check VSA System, and Check Power Steering System warnings all came on. So after spending about $1,000 and making multiple trips back to the shop, the original problem I brought it in for still wasn't fixed. When I spoke with the manager, instead of trying to understand why I was frustrated, he became defensive, argumentative, and dismissive. He repeatedly said, "I don't understand why you're mad," asked, "Well, you said the issue was fixed, right?" (I NEVER said that), and when I explained I'd had to take multiple days off work and arrange transportation because I kept having to come back, he told me, "Having to take 3 days off is part of life. That happens when you have an older car that has issues." He also refused a refund, saying "We're not doing any work for free," and expected me to trust them with my car for a third time after they had already failed twice. Why would I pay them again when they couldn't fix the problem the first two times? I lost all confidence in the shop and took my car to an independent mechanic in Diamond Bar. He drove my car and noticed the drivability issue almost immediately. After spending several hours diagnosing and test-driving it, he found the actual problem: a faulty MAP sensor. He replaced it, and the hesitation is completely gone. He also told me the fuel system cleaning and transmission fluid service performed by Cook's were maintenance items and were not related to the problem I originally brought the car in for. I understand that diagnosing intermittent issues isn't always easy, but what I can't accept is paying around $1,000, making three trips back, being treated disrespectfully by the manager, and then having another mechanic correctly diagnose and fix the problem in a matter of hours. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. I will never return or recommend this shop.

I have a Chevrolet Bolt EUV with a set of tires that practically nobody makes anymore, and one of them had started leaking air. I was worried I was in for an expensive replacement. I'm so thankful ChatGPT directed me to Tire Outlet. The moment I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted with smiles and employees who were eager to help. The manager personally took care of me, and from the very beginning, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The speed of service really impressed me. About a year ago, I brought my car to a different tire shop in Fullerton for another leaky tire and ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours before anyone even looked at my car. Today's experience couldn't have been more different. While I relaxed in Tire Outlet's clean, comfortable waiting lounge and got some work done on my laptop, they had everything taken care of in about 15 minutes. Then came the biggest surprise of all. They told me my tire didn't need to be replaced after all--they were able to fix it easily by hand. And when I went to pay, they insisted on not charging me anything. Seriously... who does that these days?! I was blown away. That level of honesty and integrity is incredibly rare. They could have easily sold me a new tire, especially since my tires are difficult to find, but instead they fixed the actual problem and sent me on my way. From now on, Tire Outlet will be the only place I take my car for tire service. They specialize exclusively in tires (so you don't have to wait while a car gets another type of lengthy repair or maintenance), know their products inside and out, have an impressive inventory, provide incredibly fast service, and, most importantly, treat their customers with honesty, care, and respect. I was about two hours from home, and ended up with a hole in my tire that needed fixing before I could drive back. They told me to arrive by 6:30 p.m. since they closed at 7, and I got there just in time. While the actual replacement process was smooth and the tires look fine, I only found out from the paperwork afterward that they were supposedly "balanced". Unfortunately, the car hasn't been driving right since. The steering feels off, it's jerky, and turns are more difficult than they should be. Clearly, something is wrong with the balancing or the installation. I'm concerned that because I arrived so close to closing time, the job may have been rushed. If they can't do a thorough job that late in the day, they really should stop taking new customers earlier rather than rushing through the work. In short, while the staff was accommodating in terms of timing, the end result was that my car doesn't drive properly now. For that reason, I wouldn't go back.

Yen took care of the muffler delete and Lee and two other very helpful gentlemen took care of my coil overs. I have to say I am very satisfied with the quality of work for the value. They quoted me way under anyone else that I had called prior to going with them. I will recommend A-1 Muffler Express to all of my friends and family. They all make you feel that you're part of the family. They offered me coffee and cold water while I waited for my car to be done. One thing to remember, they are experts in mufflers, exhaust systems, and not any other type of work. But it never hurts to ask if they can do it for you!

When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

I want to share my recent experience w/ Fisk Automotive in Fullerton, Ca. I have been taking my vehicles to Fisk for 13 years, so when my water pump went out on my truck, I didn't think twice about taking it to have it repaired. Dropped off my truck & Marty (Shop Mgr) said they would contact me later that day & let me know a time I could pick it up. By Wed. morning I had not heard anything so I called & left a msg & was told someone would call me back in 10 mins. After 45 mins I called them back & spoke with Marty, he informed me that sometime during the previous day while working on my truck, their tech had dropped it off the hoist lift, & Fisk had already contacted their local body & paint contractor to come out & give them an est on the damage & repairs (without me having any prior knowledge of the incident, or my approval). After getting that unsettling news from Marty, my spouse called back & spoke with Jack (owner) to find out what/why it happened & why we were not notified that our truck had been damaged, but instead of giving answers, all he would say was "I don't know why you're so upset ma'am", so we told him we were on our way to inspect the truck ourselves. After the conversations we just had with Marty and Jack, we felt it was in our best interest to contact our ins co asap. We went to Fisk to view the damage & when Jack approached us, instead of conveying his professional apology that our truck was damaged while in their care, he said "s*#% happens" (we were stunned by his unprofessional & insensitive comment). While inspecting the damage to the vehicle frame & under-carriage (the vehicle was on a ramp & was never brought down to see the full extent of the damage), we found there was much more damage than we were led to believe in the first initial phone calls. Jack kept saying a contractor was lined up to repair it, so we let him know that we had contacted our ins co, & Fisk was not to do any work & the ins co would inspect/appraise the damage, & to leave it there because we didn't even know whether it's safe or not to drive. Once Jack learned of the ins co involvement, his attitude & demeanor completely changed, & it was as if we had done something wrong by reporting to our ins co. We explained to him that once the inspection/appraisal was complete, the ins wanted to have the truck towed to a repair facility, & he was agreeable. Got home, realized personal items were in the truck. My spouse returned to the shop, the truck was off the ramp & accessible, opened the truck doors & found on both sides they did not close right & the damage was even far worse than we had seen the first viewing. Upset at finding out how badly our truck was damaged, once home, called & asked Marty again, why it was on the lift for a water pump & he said all vehicle labor done at Fisk is done on the hoist, & when asked why we weren't notified, & how it fell, he still refused to give answers. Told Marty we shouldn't have to pay for any work that may have been done since the truck was so badly damaged, Marty stated that we had to pay because they worked on the truck whether it got damaged or not, & said it didn't fall off the hoist during the waterpump "labor". Asked again, why was it on the lift, he then admitted "yes it was during the labor". As Fisk was not going to work with us on payment, we said we would pay for parts, but not labor, and Marty said NO. He was told we needed a copy of the orig est pprwrk for our records (never gave us orig est),arrived, wasn't acknowledged at first & then was given a copy of the bill, including parts/labor, not an est. Within mins of picking up the bill, received a VM from Jack stating he would no longer speak to my spouse because she was "out of control" for wanting to know what happened to our truck. Then a 2nd VM asking for an email & a CC# to settle the bill. It was then I knew Jack was refusing the release the truck without payment in full. Friday, went to pick up/pay for the truck, was given a repair order to sign stating we were receiving the vehicle in good condition, I was unwilling to sign, my truck was not in good condition. Jack told me if I didn't sign, I couldn't have my truck. I had no choice but to call the police, as I felt police involvement was necessary. Officers arrived & spoke with us/then Jack & informed us he would release the vehicle if we paid cash only, a CC was no longer an acceptable form of payment, (always payed by CC & a good client for 13+ years). We were advised by the officers to get the cash to pay him, & not leave the truck there as Jack could start charging daily storage & Fisk is not responsible for any future damage, so I did what was necessary to get the cash. Took it to an ins approved body shop & found the truck was totaled from the damage incurred by Fisk. Still no apology from Fisk. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Fisk Automotive! From the moment I called, their communication and customer service were absolutely amazing. They were informative, patient, and took the time to answer all of my silly questions without ever making me feel dumb or rushed. I just got this car in November 2025, so this was my first time ever having to deal with getting it looked at or repaired, and they made the whole experience so much less stressful. They stayed on the same page with me about pricing and worked within my price point, which I really appreciated. The issue ended up being a mouse chewing through my coolant line (seriously... a mouse ), and they explained everything clearly so I understood exactly what was going on. i am not a resident of California, but have the occasion to be there from time to time. I had some issues with my Subaru in August and needed a mechanic to diagnose the problem and repair it. I decided on Fisk Automotive after reading so many positive reviews. I thought the facility was professional in appearance. My car was repaired correctly the first time and within the estimated cost. I recently had an unrelated problem needing repair on the same car and had the same excellent experience. I had an incredible experience with Joel at Fisk Automotive. Even though my bank made a mistake and voided my car warranty, Joel went above and beyond to help me through the entire process of getting my car fixed. We have had both our family vehicles ( Nisan Pathfinder SUV & Infinity Q 45) regularly serviced at Fisk Automotive and have always been extremely satisfied. All service promises kept. Recently, during a service appointment, we mentioned that our battery kept running down and fully expected to purchase a new one. But our friends at Fisk Automatic researched and discovered that the battery was still within the warranty period and was able to replace it at no charge saving us at least $100. We have been using Fisk for years, and they have always been great. I haven't had to bring my cars in the last few years due to being under manufacturer warranties. I just had the "opportunity" to use them again, and found they were under new ownership. The new ownership is also fantastic. They went above and beyond to get my car fixed and back to me. My mom uses them as well, and was just as complimentary of their work and customer service. They do not push extra services, and are honest and fair. I'm happy to recommend this shop. I operated Limo company and lot of auto repair. First visit this shop and they fix major problem on engine-fuel system and differential. I really satisfied quality of job and repair procedure. everything is clear to client and make happy. Usually went to the LA area for auto repair. Because, very hard to found right mechanic shop in fullerton, buena park area.. I tried some shop ...so bad. They have most test equipment and clean working area, lobby. Jeff really knows his craft, especially when it comes to older trucks. I brought in my 2004 Ram, and it's now driving better than new. We were also in a serious time crunch, and he went out of his way to accommodate us, which I really appreciated. One thing I respect is his strong preference for OEM American-made parts. That matters to me, and it gives me confidence my truck will keep running strong for another 250k miles. He's also upfront about the value of his time--he charges for inspection and for sourcing parts, but that's because he's putting in the effort to give you an accurate, reliable repair quote. With older vehicles, parts aren't always easy to find, and that level of diligence makes a difference.
