I really wish I can give this place less than half of a star! I will never in my life try it again I will stick with in n out burger. I come to the Rancho Cucamonga location off of Haven and Towncenter I order my food I proceed to give them a gift card and I will pay the rest in cash but since the gift card was kind of old and unreadable to their machine I was informed that it is against their company policy to just manually punch in the numbers on the back of the card!?! Seriously are you kidding me right now?! I have worked for a restaurant for the past 15 years and all machines have a way to manually put in the number on the back of the gift card. Which is the main reason for the number being there in the first place! the gentleman helping me turns around to ask the manager while I stand there "can I manually punch in the numbers" very rudely turns and says "no" while shaking her head she didn't even bother to come over and say no I'm sorry, she yelled it from across the cooking area while she was near the grill and I was at the order counter and goes back to what she's doing . turning down your customers and their money definitely is not good for business! never again will five guys get my money or time! First off its a packed house, but we did move quickly to place our order. The burgers were really good-and you can customize what you want on it. I had mayo, bbq saucce, green pepper, tomato. The burger was delicious-way better than In-N-Out and twice the thickness. I got the cajun fries which were good, but I have definetly had better. The fries come in big orders, 1 is enough for 2-3 people. But because the fries, burgers, and drinks all have to be ordered seperately I felt it was a little pricey. I got 2 burgers, 2 fries, and 2 small drinks for $20.75--in and out would be more like 10 or 12 total. Its supposed to be a great $5 burger and it is, but adding fries and a drink add up here.Overall I really enjoyed the burger, thought the fries were ok (not better than In-n-Out), and was a little disappointed by the prices. read more

So upset with this place. I always order a protein style burger from in n out and not once have the ever screwed my order up. My husband and I wanted to try five guys burger protein style one day. When I ordered they had no clue as to what I was asking. Finally when they figuredbit out I got my order home only to be furious that they got it all wrong. I heard such great things about this place. If you only like plain burgers don't come here as the price is too high. If you like to add a bunch of extras to your burger the prices are great. The menu is like that of In-N-Out it has just burgers and fries. The burgers look as if the meat and bread are hand made right there. The service is very great. The food is okay could be better. The fries were too spicy for me sadly so I could not try them. For a large party this is a great place, going by yourself forget it. Nothing to complain about! This is the only Five Guys Burgers and Fries I have been to so they made quite the impression. The burgers were nice hot and juicy! You can add any toppings for free so the price is worth it. The fries come in mounds so a small was more than enough for me and the taste was to die for. They have one of those wizardry soda machines so you can't run out of choices. Overall this place is worth the money and a fun hangout to catch up with friends over some juicy burgers and some bomb fries. read more

The burgers here are fantastic. One order of fries is large enough to share between two people, and they are light crispy which I really enjoy. These are not like in-n-out burgers, but the point of visiting is to be open to new tastes. The condiment options are great. Tomatoes, pickles, mushrooms, grilled onions, ketchup and mustard makes the perfect sandwich for me. They also have a self serve section for roasted peanuts. read more

Really piss poor service. Told the fry guy there was no ketchup in containers and he said I am busy so I can't change it. I saw three other customers tell him the same thing. OK, this is the best "fast food" burger that I have ever tasted. Mc Donalds, in-n-out and the Habit don't even compare. The condiment list is great. There are a variety of options. I usually order the small burger and it is very filling and 3.99. In reading some of the other posts, this is why I feel you can't compare to McD's or in-n-out.... Five Guys seems to have the right ratio of leanness to fat...it doesn't taste overly greasy or dry or weird grissle (McD's). The Habit used to be one of my favorites but lately seems to be dry and just not flavorful. In-n-out has a great burger, but it is thin.... I think you would go to certain burger places based on the taste and desire that day.... sometimes, you just want the sauce at in-n-out. Anyhoo, the bun at Five G's is nice and soft and I think adds to this burger experience. The veggie sandwich is messy depending on the ingredients. But, the hubby said that he would try it again. The kids loved the grilled hot dog... I love the fries. The regular size fed my entire family of four with left overs..... It is absolutely worth going to at least once to consider putting it in your rotation of burger joints. read more

I have been three times. I had the standard double patty with the general load of toppings (mushrooms, onions, etc.) and can say for sure - I will never eat it again. Both times, it was truly flavorless. I appreciate the home grind on the beef, but it was way too much chuck and shoulder cuts in there. It tasted like snot. A very mucous like stinky cheese flavor. No steak taste whatsoever. They need to find 5 guys from the Cordon Bleu school to come and show them how to make a proper fry from a fresh cut potato. Folks, I cannot help that I cook and eat pretty high cuisine. If you do, then you can skip the burger. The hot dog is good, but bring your own dijon mustard. They only serve a yellow style, and that is you know... yellow mustard. I cannot compare to In n Out, because I do not eat there. So there is no hating on 5 guys, cause of that. Don't waste your money on the up-size on the soda. You can get a refill on the smaller one. Stick to the hot dog. It is split and grilled. Skip fries, not worth the calories. read more

I usually go to the five guys in Highland/Redlands area they always nail it in terms of order accuracy and speed but this one not so much. Dude at the counter was hella cool but other staff seemed uninterested maybe a long day I get it. I ordered cheeseburger w mustard, bbq, hot sauce, grilled onion, shroom n jalapeno. Got no relish, light bbq, lots of hot sauce n mustard. Other toppings came out OK. Also got Cajun fries they barely had ne seasoning. I asked for a side off bbq sauce n got a side of A1, of course not realizing it til I got home. Food took about 10 minutes (if it was bz I would get it) but I was only order up n watched as my burger sat there for 5 mins becuz home slice forgot to grill jalapenos at same time as everything else. I'm a server for a living so I get that things happen but geez. My total was $8.00 n I left $2 in tip jar hoping they would see that n it would encourage quick delivery n good execution guess not. If I wouldn't have left ne tip I wouldn't gripe but I am guessing ne one rarely tips let alone over 20% so needless to say I was not pleased.
