We came on Mother's Day after visiting the arboretum. Just wanted to support a local mom pop business on this special day. We were the only table dining in that day. Hopefully they receive a bit more love on normal weekends. The noodle soups were super homie and each came in a giant bowl. I loved their crab tomato noodle soup and genuinely think they have one of the best broths for that dish. Would def come back just this noodle soup alone. Next time would make sure to check out their combo and breakfast menu!

Stopped by on a weekend morning and was seated right away. The restaurant has a cozy, homey feel- perfect for a relaxed, casual hangout. Service was warm and attentive. Street parking is available right out front. Beef Stewed Steamed Rice Noodle- a unique Cantonese-style dish with soft, silky rice noodles topped with richly flavored beef stew. The texture combination was really interesting (in a good way). It does get a bit heavy toward the end, so it's a great option to share. I'd definitely come back for this dish!

Food - well priced breakfast combos, we got the soy sauce chow mein, congee (the day's was salted fish), youtiao, and lemon iced tea -- all tasted pretty great overall and hit the spot for someone looking for a great breakfast in the 626 :) Service - pretty quick overall, family run Ambiance - kind of easy to miss right next to the Psychic shop next door; nice and clean shop overall the Thai tea bears look cute definitely will consider getting the drink next time!

Cute little mom and pop restaurant It's easy to drive by it, but we happen to find it on yelp. Don't drive too far since you can easily pass it. We did street parking in front of garden cafe It is yummy nice comfort food. Plenty of it when you get a large :) probably great for winter Nice people with only two people on the job It's nice to have when craving some familiar comfort food. I'll be back if I'm in the area

Cute little noodle spot across from KFC on South Baldwin Ave. Only street parking, no parking in the back. The restaurant is clean, gets good lighting, clean, and has 6 tables. They have really cute bear thai ice milk tea with a small frozen bear on top. Our server was really friendly. Please be patient though as she was the only person serving the tables. I really enjoyed my HK beef stew. I would come back to try other items.

A cozy and homey casual noodle restaurant. They serve classic comfort food and have decent portions and good value. Simple menu and delicious food that is satisfying. The noodles came with lots of meat and was well seasoned. The interior is very clean and the staff are friendly. No credit cards under $25, but they take Venmo and Zelle.

Very hospitable and quick service. The inside is homey but not too cozy. This spot is an introvert's dream. Ordered a large chicken pho via fantuan for takeout. My take- having lived in SGV and tried almost every chicken pho.... this is genuinely the best chicken pho in town. I was entranced by the succulent chicken, delicious broth, and generous portion of noodles. They gave me a packet of hoisin sauce, chili vinegar, and ginger onion sauce. At home I squeezed my own sriracha to triple dip the chicken with the hoisin. It was so good I couldn't take a picture before I dived in. Attached are my leftovers after I got full

The food is so good and simple menu! The service is great and fast. We just found out the parking is in back!

Pregnancy craving for that spicy sour Guilin noodles continue! haha! I had this place bookmarked for their hot and sour rice noodle soup. It wasn't exactly the Guilin style but it was good. The flavor I was craving was there and it did not disappoint. The noodles were definitely different from the Guilin style. The Thai tea was good and wasn't super sweet. I actually tasted the tea and that's rare! If you pay cash and your bill reaches a certain amount , you get your drink comped! They also provide 1 free refill on your drink. The chili oil chicken was okay. It tasted like the Taiwanese cold dishes but with chicken. I don't normally see a chicken option in most restaurants but they typically make this with tripe and pork. The restaurant is located on Baldwin. I'm not sure if they had a parking lot in the back but I parked on the street. It's a small restaurant and has about 6-8 tables.

Small restaurant serving a variety of noodles, some rice dishes, appetizers and drinks. Food is solid with a nice homemade, clean taste. You can receive two different drinks free based on your receipt total. Small parking lot in the back with street parking.

After a leisurely walk at the LA Arboretum, my friend and I were famished and in need of a cold drink and some yummy food. She suggested Fivefive because of the frozen bear drink. Turns out the food is also pretty good. My friend had the crabmeat tomato basil noodle soup and I had the five five hot and sour rice noodle soup. My friend didn't say too much about her soup except that it was pretty good, and she took the leftovers home. I enjoyed the hot and sour rice noodle soup (4/5). It was good and had strong flavors that made this soup so easy to eat. The soup is spicy but not overly so and it was definitely sour and had strong Chinese herbal taste that I loved. My friend was thrilled with her frozen Thai tea bear (4/5) and I ended up getting a Ume soda (4/5) (which was salted plum in soda water). I liked that our server suggested we take a glass of Thai tea to go with the bear. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is all white and very clean. The restaurant had a steady crowd so I think this is a popular little place to grab a bite. Parking is street. Due to construction on the sidewalk, it was a bit confusing where parking was ok and where it wasn't. But that should not deter anyone from checking out this cute little noodle cafe. I'll be back! House special noodle soup

Quaint noodle shop with hearty noodle soups and kind employees. Perfect for brunch or when you need to satisfy your noodle cravings. I love ordering the house special noodle soup with half egg noodle half rice noodle to get the best of both worlds. We usually park on the street and sometimes have to walk for a minute or two if all of the spots are taken (which they sometimes are, because Garden Cafe is next door and gets busy around brunch time too). Overall, a tasty noodle spot with flavors that remind me of home. I recommend giving it a shot if you haven't already!

Ordered the House Special and Chicken Noodles. It reminded me of Taiwanese flavors with the dried garlic seasoning. The Broth is good and the noodles were very complimentary. Overall, the restaurant is clean and known for their Thai Tea Bear Drink. We opted to order two noodles and thoroughly enjoyed our meal :)

We also tried the refreshing cucumber agua fresca, & it was so light & refreshing on these hot days! For brunch, I went with the Machaca con Huevo served with warm corn tortillas, & it was perfect, exactly what I was hoping for. We also had to order the Berry Banana French Toast, & it was the perfect way to balance out our meal. Having something savory followed by something sweet is always the move. One of my favorite little touches? They serve fresh conchas tableside, which made the whole experience feel even more special. Even though the place was buzzing with energy and clearly a local favorite, the team handled the weekend crowd seamlessly. The staff was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and fast, making the entire experience feel smooth from start to finish. Since there were five of us, we ordered a variety of dishes to share family-style, which turned out to be the best decision. The absolute star of the table was the pancakes--they are truly outstanding! Whether you get their specialty coffees or refreshing iced beverages, or even hot tea. Every drink was crafted with care and tasted wonderful alongside the sweet and savory brunch items. We sat at a table by the front window facing the main drag. The area definitely has an old town feel with many restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is also a park right across the street. There is plenty of parking around the corner on the street and in a nearby lot. I started out with the Coughlin's Law cocktail (Aviation gin, house infused vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, lavender bitters, $16). It was a good light drink with light vanilla and lemon flavor. I always love a good foam top too. She started out with a Basil Paloma (Herradura silver tequila, muddled basil & grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, simple syrup, seltzer, $15). It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. There is an extra 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was mostly a miss, but everything else was very good so I'm rounding up to five stars. They have a very good sized cocktail and food menu, as well as many beers on tap. They also have happy hour specials. We would definitely return if we were in the area again.
