We went to Fizz Walnut Creek since they were highly recommended by friends. Since they were highly recommended, we took our close friend out to celebrate her birthday. I would very much like to leave a good review but this one is one that I would rather not give but because of all the issues, one after the other. A review is needed. From the start. When reservations were made they insisted on a credit card to hold the reservation where they firmly told us that a $25 per person no show fee will be charged. We let that go and just went with it and booked the reservation. Upon arrival we told the team there that we have a reservation for 5. Remember the comment above. They showed us to a single table that seats only two, then proceeded to place tables together with no place settings. They were obviously not ready for us. The place wasn't even full or busy. They had a small party of 6 in one section and another small part of 6 at the back. One party was already making their way out and in the process with paying so they were not busy. Menus, we were shown the card to scan the QR for the menu. While reviewing the menu and champagne choices, we had questions. We wanted to have a variety of flights and try different types of champagne so we had questions. When we asked the manager, he pointed to the menu on his iPad and said the details are there and walked away. No explanation of how the menu works and did not check in with us if we had questions. Or order for champagne and food. Our server was new so she wasn't able to help us out too much and we worked with her. We placed our order for food and champagne. Our order was mixed up were she brought out the wrong sandwich and missing an appetizer. We corrected her where she went to the back to let the chef know. All of our other dishes arrived except for the one that had the mix up including the missing appetizer. Our birthday celebrant explained the situation to the manager. He quickly became argumentative to our birthday celebrant about the situation about a simple wrong sandwich and missing appetizer. Remember, our reservation about the birthday celebration. He should be well aware that we are celebrating a birthday. Instead he argued with her. We waited for the replacement food to come out so that our other friend could join us while we ate our meals. While we were waiting we saw the chef walk out. Our birthday celebrant asked him about the replacement sandwich and appetizer. He was rude and very short with his answers and did not care. Our birthday celebrant had to ask him to go to the kitchen and check on the food. While we were eating and drinking our champagne. Our server went missing so I ended up having to get our own water refill and napkins. Dessert, the manager walked out to check in with our birthday celebrant. Offered dessert for her but did not even check in with the rest of the party. We had to flag down a server to add to the order. That order was delayed and not served at the same time as with the other dessert. We were not offered any water nor napkins either. At the end of the night, a glass fell to the floor and broke. The staff left the glass on the floor. The only person that warned me about the glass on the floor since this happened when I was away from the tables. The only person that warned me was the managers girlfriend who just happened to be there. All other employees walked past me and around me not advising me that there was glass on the floor. Customer service there is a hot mess. No one knows what they are doing and they do not seem to care. Instead the manager will argue with customers. Food is just okay. The crab cakes was nothing but filler and falling apart with no flavor. The steak sandwich was dry and overly salty. Because of the customer service, I won't be returning. It is sad since I am an event planner for corporate events. I was looking forward to adding this to my list of must haves for events. I will not and instead will be advising, stay away. read more

Updating my review because although I would have never gone back, I was doing a wine walk through down town yesterday and Fizz was on the list. We went and the person serving us, Raymond recognized us from my previous review and apologized a ton about how we were previously treated. He was kind and genuinely felt bad. My sister threw a small bridal shower for me at Fizz, upon my recommendation because I've been a member for about five months now. It's a shame, champagne, and wine selection is really good, the customer service was definitely lacking. We showed up and nothing was ready, it took 30 minutes to get water and our first series of tasting for 12 of my close friends. It was frustrating that nothing was prepared and it seemed like our group was definitely not a priority. Because of this, and their lack of apologizing or even acknowledging the lack in Service, I did cancel my membership. What a class act!!! This organization is top notch. I am a new club member and had an issue with my recent bill. I sent an email inquiring about this and within an hour I not only received an email response, but I also received a phone call apologizing for the error and correction to my bill. We went for Valentine's day and had two flights. After a few minutes at the table, the drinks were brought to us and the waitress simply said the name of the flight with a question tone. No greeting, no intro, we had no idea what she was talking about. She then very quickly named the three drinks and gave them to us. I couldn't tell you a single thing about them other than color and that they were indeed bubbly. And we apparently got two different flights but one of drinks was the same which is kind of lame. No idea of the vintage, style, winery, absolutely nothing. Just plopped them down and we drank, no tasting card or anything. The point of a tasting room is to learn about what you are drinking and maybe we might buy a bottle! The next time she came by we got a thing of fries dropped off. We didnt order them, i didnt even know they had food, no one said anything about it. Maybe it was included in our package. Never heard from someone again, left pretty quickly after. Ambiance was good. No point in going back because i can buy random bottles of champagne myself and drink them at home, and at least I would know what I am drinking. read more
