Flame broiler is always a good go-to for a healthy meal. I love how close this is to my place so its definitely the one i go to the most. I understand things are different with Covid but how do you give out sauces with barely anything in them and then look at people like they are crazy when they ask for more... if your worried about giving out too much then maybe get bigger sized cups like some of the other stores have and ACTUALLY FILL THEM UP! read more

I usually like coming here for lunch since it is close to my work, but last week I experienced terrible customer service. The manager was extremely rude when I asked her about my order. I also saw none of the staff wearing gloves and handling raw chicken and then giving me my order. In no moment did I see anybody washing their hands. Then I saw an employee coughing all over the place and with no mask on. After this terrible experience, I will no longer be coming here for lunch. read more

Rotten salad containing a dead bug. I bought a beef plate with double salad today and took it home to eat it. Half way into eating the food, I found the salad was rotten (more specifically, the purple cabbage was rotten) and there was a dead mosquito in the salad as well. I took the food back to the restaurant and received a refund. I still feel queasy. read more

This place is disgusting. We ordered and then watched a lady wearing food prep gloves texting on her personal cell phone, put it down on a food prep table and then directly go and scoop old food from containers into a bowl with the same gloves. I asked the cashier why my food wasn't prepared to order and he said they cook once and then just serve it when ordered. No thanks!! He refunded us and we left. read more

As I was ordering the young man at the register excused himself to blow his nose. He did so right behind the counter and did NOT wash his hands. I asked him to please wash his hands because he just blew his nose and he did so but not without saying "oh I didn't actually touch it" (he was referring to his mucus). This is very concerning to me and quite frankly disgusting. Clearly food safety training has been overlooked at this location. Completely unacceptable. read more

My daughter only likes kalbi and it's nice that this place has the option so we usually would get her a plate of kalbi if we go dine at The Counter. The taste is OK, but quite expensive for only 2 strips and cost over $11. I could pay the same price at Da Luau and get 3 strips of kalbi. This location (to the right of Panera Bread) replaced the horrid Pastagina (nobody wants to pay for bland pasta, where you can make it better at home), which obviously didn't last very long. But so many restaurants have come and gone in the Woodbury Town Center. I pretty much group Flame Broiler along with Subway. Boring food, somewhat cheap, and only when last resort. The way to entice me is with coupons, and if you live in Irvine, look for those booklets that come in the mail. They are loaded with deals and advertisements from businesses that are desperate for your hard earned cash money. Flame Broiler has coupons in there all the time. I cut out the 20% off coupon and stick it in my wallet next to my Burger King BOGO free coupons. Yep, that's how I roll. read more

I got food poisoning here. Their meat clearly tasted like it was recycled and had the texture of well-done gristle, and their vegetables were unwashed. I know it was their food because my symptoms came suddenly after partial consumption of their chicken bowl. Previous reviews prove I'm one of many people affected by their sanitation issues. Thanks for the unexpected loss of income due to food poisoning, Woodbury Flame Broiler. I'm rarely compelled to give 1-star reviews, and I've been in the food and service industry for several years, so I do everything I can to arrive at a fair review of any business or restaurant. A great healthy place to go. This is one of the places that I like to go to when Im on a diet or looking to eat healthy food (aside from the traditional SUBWAY). Great tasting brown rice...this place actually made me learn how to love brown rice. Decent tasting chicken...and crisp green onions to top it off. I've been to a few Frame Broiler locations, so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. This location is the worst location I've been to to date. I've been to this location twice, and the meat tasted dried out both times, and the service wasn't friendly at all either time. Both times I walked out thinking to myself, "well, fuck you, too." Here's my advice to the owner and managers. Treat your staff to lunch at Chick-fil-A sometime soon. It's right around the corner in the same center. Go there with them and eat with them. When the meal is over, tell them to do it like that. read more

Like others have commented, this Flame Broiler is the worst. I usually really enjoy going to this chain because it's relatively healthy and you can opt for all veggie instead of rice (which I always choose). In other locations, they give you a good mix of veggies, but this location is really poor in quality. My "The Works" bowl had HUGE, uncut BLOCKS of cabbage that took up half the bowl. There was 1 sprig of broccoli, a sprinkling of carrots, and green onion bits. That's it. It was basically a cabbage bowl. If you're gonna pack your bowls with cabbage, at least have the decency to use the leaves, not the middle stalk sections! My partner's bowl was exactly the same. Cheap ingredients and bad quality are not the way to keep customers. read more

The last 3 times I have come here, disappointed. I guess this is really a 'shame on me' situation since I dont seem to learn but I cant help that this place is so close to my gym during my lunch hour. I also feel bad leaving a 1 star review because I know the owner tries hard and he seems like a very nice fellow. This Flame Broiler really needs to do a better job on training or hire better employees. When the owner is away, most of the workers really dont seem to care about their job. The order takers cant take simple requests like half rice order correctly. The hispanic cook in the back with longer hair and tattoos needs to take his job that he is horrible at a little more seriously. How do you mess up rice time and time again? And you dont want to complain to this guy because his eyes are so faded and you know its not going to get through. Its really too bad. I frequent this location about 3 times a week. I always order the half-and-half bowl with white rice and onions. Service is hit-and-miss when ordering. Worst flame broiler ever. The manager always cuts corners to increase prices whenever he can. He does not accept coupons that are offered by the irvine company. Also, any modifier is an 80 cent charge even if you choose to take items off a plate. The place is also infested with fruit flys. And I unforntunatly got food poisoning after eating the chicken veggie bowl from this location. The only reason for one star is because of the caisher Gensis. Super cool dude, and was very proffesional. Seriously hope the health department catches up with this place soon. DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

I dropped in a little before 8pm on a Monday night, after my afternoon run. I was super happy to see a large tv playing MNF, which was a historic game because Justin Tucker got me 23 points and secured my spot in my fantasy football championship. Nice place to stop for a quick lunch after a workout at LA Fitness. The food here comes out really quick and consistently delicious and filled to the top. The place is always clean and stocked with sauces and utensils.
