I'd lived here for well over a year before I ventured into any Flame Broiler location. Then one day at South Coast Plaza, I needed a quick bite to eat and FB was right there. Since then, I've learned to appreciate the chain as a great spot for a (somewhat) health-conscious choice when in a hurry. This location is the closest to my place, and I find myself going there more and more these days. Luckily, my local FB is among the better locations of the franchise. While others can be routinely crowded (leading to a good waiting time), this FB rarely has more than one other customer in the place. I love Flame broiler and this is by far my favorite location. The staff is always very friendly and polite. They even remember my order lol. The food is delicious and fresh. Finally a Blame Broiler in the Zoo. Close by the beach, healthy, and quick. This place rules. Rice, Meat, and Sauce with some veggies thrown in. Very creative. Actually, the opposite from the creative minds over at Sessions. Its right next door to Chronic tacos, but don't be lured in there. Its really good too. Parking can be a nightmare. Al the taxis hang out there taking up all the good spots and if they its too crowed for them to park, the taxi drivers find it ok to simply block the driveway with their taxi. I work in the area and usually come here a lot for lunch. My coworkers also enjoy coming to this location as it is the only one officially in Newport. Same prices and food at any other location. Service is good, friendly, and fast. I have noticed they do treat their bathroom like the crown jewel and very strict about customers only. Very clean locations and plenty of seating. It is tucked back in the center of the strip mall where Jack in the Box is on the corner. Usually easy parking and quick to get in and out. If you go closer to when they open it tends to take a little longer to get the food going as my wait is extended. I will continue to go back. read more
