Is their bone broth the fatty kind?

No, our bone broth is clean, light and high in collagen. It's not like what you would get from a heavier Tonkatsu style broth. In addition to the bones, we also build depth of flavor from daikon and aromatics.

    Is it dog friendly?

Dog can sit outside. They have a few tables outside

    Does the restaurants use MSG?

I don't believe so. As in I'm not sleepy after eating it.

    Is there outdoor seating?

Hi Alyssa! Yes! Weather permitting we have a table for 4 and a table for 2. :)

Is your fried pork chop/ popcorn chicken dairy free? Egg ok but making sure no milk/ butter etc?

Yes, it's dairy free and also egg free. :)

Was looking for a nice warm bowl of soupy noodles on the cold day and this hit the spot. Flavorful, rich, broth with a slight spice. The beef was cooked until very tender. The noodles were soft yet and a nice firm chewiness. It was perfect. Definitely not overcooked where it becomes waterlogged or mushy. E.5 Combo Stewed Pork Rice Plate & Small Wonton Soup (4/5). The plate came with blanched cabbage, broccoli, a tea egg, minced pork over steamed rice. The pork belly was braised and stewed until fork tender but not over done so it still kept it's shape. The minced pickled mustard greens was the highlight. B.6: Taiwanese Sandwich. It had the same type of meat, the stewed pork belly with minced pickled mustard Greens, a little sauce in a steamed white bun. D&M, Thanks again for spending time with us and treating for lunch! They got AYCE hot pot now and it feels a lot more chaotic!…read more  I came here to celebrate Father's day on Sunday around 12pm. There was a bit of a wait and you can waitlist on their ipad inside. We waited for about 20-30 minutes.    Before getting seated they ask if you want to do the normal hot pot style or AYCE. The AYCE runs for 90 minutes and is $24.99 during lunch and $30.95 during dinner time. They also charge for leftover food which is $6 per lb. We ended up doing the normal one pot hot pot for each person.    I always get my usual lamb hot pot which already comes with vermicelli noodles and choose rice as my free side dish. There are various levels of spiciness and I chose extra spicy which is a level down from there flaming spicy from what I can recall. Honestly it was not spicy enough but I did not want to get the spiciest level in fear that it would be too oily. Perhaps I will try that the next time to see if it is.    They have a bar further in the back of the restaurant where you can get creat your sauce and get some garnishes for your hot pot. I also noticed they have some other sides like noodles and such next to it. It seems if you are not participating in AYCE you can still get sauces and garnishes but I am not sure about the other sides.    The interior has changed from the last time I came here and it looks nice! Service was standard and everyone was nice. It does feel more chaotic now that they have AYCE but that  is understandable.

I had the fried pork chop over rice and the pork chop was coated with just very thin layer of flour to make it crispy. People following their cooking passions in cloud kitchens can't always control a lot of the experience beyond their kitchens so it's good to remember that sometimes behind each order is an individual hustling to try to keep a dream alive to own their own place someday. Be kind when you can. I'm saying all this because while the ambiance around the San Jose Downtown Food Hall and Bento Pro isn't great, the restaurant's output is relatively good. Instead of picking up food here in person, I'll probably adjust and order delivery in the future. I dropped my coworker off and ran an errand while she went in to order at the kiosks. There is metered parking in front and we saw reviews about free parking close by but didn't search for it. It wasn't the lunch rush so the area was pretty quiet and a lot of eateries were closed. She placed orders for our group at two different eateries in the food hall and the estimated wait times for both were fast and accurate. Back at the office, I got to sample my coworker's braised chicken quarter bento. The chicken was delicious and the bento was stuffed with sides and white rice. One of the sides, a stir fry vermicelli noodle, was really salty to me but my coworker who prefers very heavily seasoned food liked it. My minced pork dry noodles was similarly very salty. It seemed like someone had done a heavy pour of a concentrated sauce but it was a flavorful salty that I could see promise in so I solved the problem by boiling up a pack of plain ramen noodles, mixing it in, and saving half for dinner. The resulting dish was much more pleasant in sodium, still flavorful with all of the toppings and sauce mixed in, and I didn't have to cook for dinner. Noodles weren't soggy by the time we made it to the office and the whole dish was warm and fresh. Some people would probably have given that experience a low score but this is a relatively new eatery. It's quick, generous in portion, has the right flavors and just needs to work out some early unevenness. Everything worked out and I'm looking forward to trying it again via delivery.

Definitely above your typical market rates, but I promise these will be true to the OG flavors. It's mostly a food pick-up type of service where you walk up to a shared space and ring a doorbell to have an aunty bring out your stuff. Online ordering was how I did it, but you can also call/text an order over the phone. The ordering process is a bit unusual in that you have to plan these ahead of time (by about 3-days or so depending on time of week) then wait for a confirmation text on the day of. Unfortunately, impromptu cravings must likely be held at bay. Sometimes you can short-notice stuff if they have leftovers, but that's defintely a gamble. With either planning or luck, you'll then walk off with a hefty bag of deliciousness. You can have the option of getting them freshly cooked or frozen (for stocking up). The zongzi are well packaged and tightly wrapped with color-codings to the string to separate the fillings from each other. It's a bit cryptic, but you'll notice those correspond with the pictures on their ordering site. Descriptions of the fillings are true to their amount and pretty well packed with goodness (none of the mostly-rice-zongzi here). After cracking the first one open and taking my first bite, it was like that Ratatouille moment with Anton having flashbacks to his childhood (but like the Chinese version). Filled with delicious aromas and rich succulent glory, with not a dry spot in (culinary) sight. If that hasn't convinced you to at least try these buggers, I'm not sure what will!

The steak was flavorful, the sauces complemented each other perfectly, and that classic sizzling presentation made the whole experience even better. I also tried the beef noodle soup. Compared to a lot of other restaurants where the soup tastes flat or bland, this one had a much richer flavor profile. Overall, the food felt comforting and nostalgic, reminding me of the Taiwanese sizzling steak houses and noodle shops I grew up visiting. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

It was solid, with good noodles, generous amount of pork, some fish cakes, veggies, and an egg. The broth was good, but not top tier. In a place that sells many types of dishes and doesn't specialize in ramen, I understand everything can't be best-in-class. The egg, though, was hard boiled and didn't have a soft center, which I like. That seemed like a bit of a shortcut to be honest. My wife ordered a sizzling dish and liked it - perhaps that's their speciality. Service was good, the inside was pretty typical - nothing fancy, but nothing missing either. Good overall, would come here again for convenience and because the food is solid.

The portions are generous, and every dish we ordered came out looking just as good as it tasted. From the tacos and grilled meats to the noodles, bánh mì, and chicken and waffles, everything was packed with flavor. Even the drinks tasted great, although I wish they used a little less ice since they were gone after just a few sips. The only downside was the wait. The restaurant is pretty small, so it's understandable that it gets busy, but be prepared to wait during peak hours. Once we were seated, our drinks took a really long time to come out, and that was probably the most frustrating part of the experience. The service wasn't bad, but it could definitely be more attentive, especially when the restaurant is full. Overall, the food made up for the wait, and I'd still come back. The quality, variety, and portion sizes are worth it. If they can improve the drink wait times and make the service a little more efficient, this place would easily be one of my favorites. Definitely worth checking out if you're craving Vietnamese food with plenty of options.
