Overall not impressed with this spot. Generally I love quaint little breakfast nooks but I was unimpressed here. There was one server for the four tables seated and she must have felt rushed because she barely spoke to us. Our home fries came out cold and when we asked for them to be heated they threw them back on the grill! Mind you, these had been eaten enough to know they were cold. Seems pretty unsanitary. The hollandaise sauce on my eggs Benedict was chunky, very yellow,and weird tasting. I never got the servers attention long enough to inquire about them. I've taken some pepto and am hoping it wasn't curdled. The one pleasant experience was the gentleman roaming the dinner. Was in town helping our kids move to Port Orange and was excited to try out a nearby local breakfast place. Walked in - between two people on the floor (one woman and one man), we got no greeting or "sit wherever you want". After several minutes, we sat down and the woman went to a table of diners right near us, but still no greeting. So we got up and left. Didn't feel inviting at that point. read more

There are a ton of 4-5 star reviews, so I went with high expectations, but felt this place is a solid 3 star. The cafe is in a strip mall and is small and friendly. I found their pancakes to be average, the bacon below average, and service was good. Overall, it is a small (family owned business?) that is definitely not a chain. I visited this mom and pops breakfast spot a few months ago for the first time. I've been back since then and haven't been disappointed. I usually order the breakfast special which consists of 3 pancakes, eggs and bacon. I also order the homestyle potatoes on the side. You're allowed to seat yourself at any table. Please don't make the same mistake I did by standing there hoping someone would seat us. Let's just say we got a lot of stares. I met the owner on my first visit there. He's very friendly and usually works in the kitchen. Lunch is served as well. My recommendation would be to bring "CASH" because they don't accept credit cards. One word, AMAZING! This place is what you call yummy! The service is amazingly nice and friendly! If your gonna eat their get there early cuz they close at 2 (1:30 on some days) and it does gets packed! First off there food is incredibly good! They add secret ingredients to their pancake and waffle mix, so it's not just any old pancake mix that you buy from the store! Their food comes out fast, but it's SO FRESH! Next, their service... was GREAT! Very friendly and flexible! They don't just have a croissant on the menu, but they got me one anyway. The atmosphere was very friendly, it looked like a diner (it's supposed to be...)I just loved everything about this place! If I could I would come here every day for breakfast. One of the BEST breakfast places I have been to. I always go on the weekend, when they have Eggs Benedict. Unlike other places the Hollandaise sauce tastes like it should instead of all butter. If you want to try the Eggs Benedict, I would recommend you call ahead so that they can hold some for you or else they might be out by the time you get there (that's how good it is). ITS SO crowded every Saturday and I was so excited--thinking--it must be amazing to be that crowded--but when we finally built-up the nerve to give it a try. It's your basic breakfast diner/food (i.e. the Cracked Egg) If you want something special--the only place I can think of that has something a little outside of the box is either Monterey Grille just 1 mile down the road or Wake Up Cafe (a bit further) in New Smyrna Beach. But if you're in the mood for breakfast/don't want to cook/not looking for any thrills/ just your mundane breakfast foods/and don't want to drive far--then this is your place. The interior is pretty boring and there are no frills to the decorating either. It's nothing special and the prices are low--but it's probably a locals hangout.
