We decided to try this spot for brunch and we are very pleased. We made a reservation online a few days before on OpenTable to ensure we got a spot. We picked a 12:15 timeslot and were surprised it was still fairly empty. When we arrived we were greeted by staff and waited prob 5 min to get seated. We tried their churrasco experience and it was def worth it if you come with an empty stomach. It is $46 per person. They brought out the side dishes and they were all excellent. The cheesy bread was so good! The market table and feijoda bar offered a variety of dishes from salad, cheeses, veggies, etc which paired well with the meats. Since it was Sunday there was also a waffle and omlette station. The meats were great. We made sure to try one of each. You can tell them how big or how small of a piece you want so you don't over stuff yourself The picahna was our fave. The pineapple lemonade was also a great drink. We also never felt rushed. By the time we were done it was almost 2pm and the place was getting crowded. So highly recommend reservations if you're coming past 1:30pm. Def will be back soon!! read more

We went the day before Valentine's Day because I hate going out on Valentine's Day thinking it would be more relaxing. I guessed wrong. We had a 6:30 reservation and arrived early at 6:15. We were seated immediately and given a menu. The waiter took our drink order and our regular order because we already knew what we wanted. The restaurant was extremely hot and we had asked them to turn the heat down, but it was never done. As for the food we waited about 20 to 25 minutes before they brought out any meat and they kept bringing the same meats over and over I must've seen the chicken about seven times. We had to ask them for the other types of meat. When we did get it, the portions were so small like they literally would cut you little pieces. The fact that we spent $211 for two people to eat and we must've ate like $75 worth of food was ridiculous. On top of that when we asked for the check, we gave them two gift certificates of $100 each which left us a balance of 1150. We told the Waiter to charge our card a total of $50 and we purchased a $150 gift card. When we left, my husband decided to check the bank app and we noticed that we got charged the $150 for the gift card $50 for the balance and the tip and then so an extra charge of $350. We turned the car back around and went to the restaurant and I question what was the $350 for I spoke to the manager Diego and he informed me that it was an error and that the money will be back in our account this was on Friday, February 13. It is now Monday, February 16 and the money is still not in my account. He said it was an error on behalf of the waiter and he apologized, but that was a huge error. Can you imagine if we wouldn't have checked our account? They probably would've still with the extra 350. Still waiting for it to hit my account. I've gone to the location near the World Trade Center, which is fairly new and I had the most amazing experience, but the queen's location? Will never be going there again. read more

To best enjoy the food, it is best to come very hungry. If you want to come and not wait so long to get a table, it is best to make a reservation. The atmosphere, the service, the music 10/10. They have the option of you deciding to have a plate or you can pay to have the meat you want plus the sides. In my case, we ordered the open meat option. The cocktails are delicious. I would recommend the superfruit cocktail. We ordered a three milk as a side and it was fresh and moist. All the meats we chose were delicious, the only thing that in my opinion had no flavor and was overcooked was the chicken, but as I say, it depends on your taste. We came one last time to finish off the new year. I'd have to say Fogo de Chao lived up to their standards. The cold bar featured a clean, well stocked salad bar, freshly prepared fruits, and cheese/meat sections. We came on a Friday evening and were seated near the corner. We chose the churrasco dinner ($65 per person) and were afraid that there would be slower meat rotations due to our seating. To our surprise, servers were actually very attentive and respected our red and green face cards. The cheese breads are always a hit. The beef cuts paired well with chimichurri sauce, but otherwise could use some flavor. Our favorites were the filet mignons (soft and tender) and the chicken drumstick (so flavorful!) my partner loved the cheese with honey combo. I made resevations online hours earlier. My cousins got there around 8:05 reservations were at 8:15. They were told the table is being cleaned it will be ready in 5min. I got there 8:15 and greeted the host who ignored me and continued to talk with coworker. I was standing in front of her and she just started talking to another group who just walked in. I then had to wait 10min to be seated. I was carrying my sleeping toddler. That experience was horrible! What is the point of reservations? Then comes the meat Steak we're good, really good chicken , lamb & pork. A meat lover's paradise! Arriving on a Sunday afternoon, the place was maybe half full. The staff was just lovely and attentive and the vibe is elegant but not stuffy. There are full day happy hour specials, I opt'd for the Malbec and it was lovely. Starting out with the buffet, there are lots to choose from. Green salads (the ranch dressing was delish), potato salad, veggies, cold cuts just to name a few items. Arriving at the table were some mashed potatoes, Polenta fries, fried bananas and Pao de Queijo (cheese bread). All the sides were wonderful and hit the spot. On to the meat! We were able to try just about everything. My favorite was the top sirloin and the skirt steak; however everything was tender and flavorful and quite good. Was on the hunt for a late night meal in Elmhurst so I ventured into Fogo de Chao because to my knowledge it's fairly new to the area. I've been to several of the other locations for their full experience with all the meats but last night I played it way simpler and instead just ordered an entrée and dessert. First and foremost, the inside is beautiful. The bar is absolutely stunning and the seating is spacious from a layout perspective. The staff was warm and welcoming - they gave a full breakdown of the menu including the churrasco experience even though I was going with a smaller meal. I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass for a light dinner. The vinaigrette was delicious and the grilled asparagus was cooked perfectly. Great balance when everything was consumed together. For dessert, I had to try the Tres Leche since it's one of my favorite desserts overall. The texture of the cake was spot on and it was sweet enough without being over the top. The fresh fruit on top was a great added touch. Definitely will be back to try the full Fogo experience! Not new to Fogo, I've been to and enjoyed their Long Island locations frequently. As for this new Elmhurst location, it's got a long way to go to develop the right ambiance, food quality and service. As per usual the buffet was gorgeous, and not lacking in any way in comparison to the other locations. Everything was clearly labeled and clean. We arrived for the brunch AYCE buffet. Right upon entry, we see the place was pretty empty, but absolutely freezing. Climate control in a restaurant that serves freshly cut meat skewers would be a priority. It felt like it was 68 degrees. We got situated at our table, and service was decent. Our waiter, Sergio explained the menu, got us our side dishes of the cheesy bread and polenta, fried banana and mashed potatoes. We made a few trips to the salad bar and then enjoyed some of the meat cuts. To our surprise, the higher quality meat cuts didn't come out until we were already ready to leave. We were there for over an hour. The filet came around once, the bone in ribeye came around once. Meanwhile the other cuts such as the sirloin, picanha, lamb, and bacon wrapped steak came to our table every ten minutes. Unfortunately, and maybe this was a result of the path the meat holders would take, every time the meat got to our table, it was barely hot. This could be a result of the ambient temperature in the restaurant, or it could just be not cooking the meat long enough. In either case, that impacted the quality of the food greatly. In comparison, the LI Fogo had no issues with meat temperature. The meats were always steaming hot as they cut them. Perhaps, and adjustment to the ambient temps in the restaurant, and updating the walkways for the meat holders/ servers could improve the quality when it reaches the patrons. Overall, the service was good, docking stars because of the meat temperature and the amount of time it takes to get the quality cuts to come out. Since I'm paying a premium price, I shouldn't be unfairly served lower quality meats more often. They should all rotate based on when they are ready temperature wise. read more

This is smaller than the one in Garden City and they don't serve the meat exactly the same way. I ordered the picanha entree because the full experience is more than I can eat. In Garden City, they still slice it at the table, but of course only limit to 8-10 oz. Here, they serve it all at once. The waitress said people were taking advantage and asking for more. I had no problem with that. The other thing I noticed is that the servers don't pay attention to whether or not you have the green circle indicating you had ordered the full experience. Neither of us ordered it, but at least 3 servers came by and offered us slices of meat. We declined but realized - no wonder people take advantage. As soon as you walk in you are greeted warmly by the hostess. The ambience is warm and welcoming. This time I did the bar and it was great. It was empty and we met our awesome server/bartender Tiago B. and can I say he was just so welcoming and courteous. He brought us cheesy bread and we ordered from the bar menu. For drinks We had the passion fruit caipirinha and the gold rush. Both drinks were amazing. As for food we had the picanha burger, the saucy legs and the bone churrasco board. Everything was done to perfection. The burger was the right medium well and juicy. The churrasco was done well. The saucy legs took a while but Jose assured us they were great which they were. I've been coming to Fogo de Chão for years and I've never had a bad experience. The salad bar was basically empty and they never refilled it the entire time we were there. We waited over 30 minutes for them to come and offer us meats while we were on "green". They kept asking if everything was ok and if we needed anything. When we expressed that we wanted bananas, bread and specific kind of meats all they did was give us the bananas and bread. It felt as if they were trying to fill us up on apps so they didn't have to put fresh meats on the grill. I also saw the waitress going around with the cheese and honey, made eye contact with me and didn't come to my table. Even after requested. We requested garlic steak, and then 25 minutes later the proceeded to come around with the chicken wrapped bacon which they offered multiple times, we requested the garlic steak again and they said unfortunately they don't have any more. When the guy came around with the meats he offered my fiancé before I and I had to say I wanted a piece if not he would've walked away. The waitress also asked us if we wanted more soda, we said yes, and took almost 25 minutes for our glasses to be refilled. We had to escalate it to the manager for bring it to us. read more

Came here for a birthday. Overall it was a good experience, but I think pricing is high for what you are getting. It cost $68 per person for the all you can eat. The salad bar was good, and its was a good addition to the meats as I think they were clean and helped cleanse the pallet. The meats on the other hand, although they were mostly good, the service to serve the meats was lacking. We felt as a group that they servers came infrequently and continued to try to serve the lower cuts of meat, like pork sausages, chicken thighs when we wanted more lamb and steak. We were only served Lamb just once and Filet Mignon also only once and we were there almost 2.5 hrs. So that to me is unacceptable. Service overall though was good when they did come. I would stress if you plan to go for this place, to be a lot more persistent on asking for the meats because they will take their time getting to your table. read more

Our whole family went out to celebrate my 85th birthday last year July 25. I was in a wheelchair. It was very noisy. The food was awful. We got everything whatever that was called. They kept coming with all of the meat and everything else but everything was tough. You need a jaws to chew it. And very salty they kept coming around. The whole experience was not a good one for me. Tried the new Fogo in Downtown Brooklyn on a Saturday night. Had made reservations and almost missed it due to the snaking Flatbush traffic. Luckily we got parking right away and nearby. Waited about 5 minutes for our table to be ready. Beautiful restaurant and packed! We did the $49 Fogo special which was good and included a choice of 3 limited desserts: crème brûlée, chocolate brigadero and tres leches. Our young one was 1/2 price but that wouldn't have mattered with the amount of drinks we ordered! Bar is wonderful! And service was stellar. We had. A table tucked in a corner but that suit is just fine. The wait staff never failed to come by. We had a wonderful waitstaff especially the woman with the funky glasses! She was a . The market table was fresh and yummy. Hubs was vexed that the rice was always empty when he went up. It was worth the experience. I have tried the Manhattan location before, so I had high expectations with this new Queens location. However, I felt that the one in Manhattan was better. With this new Queens location, it's definitely very convenient for people who live in the outer boroughs. On a Sunday afternoon, it was quite busy. We were seated promptly because we made a reservation online. It's nicely designed inside, with a focal view of the market buffet. After asking the waiter, I chose to do the market buffet and one add-on meat. The selection of the market buffet food was decent. Lots of fresh vegetables, fruits and cured meat. I opted for the picanha only as I wanted to limit my meat consumption. Although I asked for medium rare, the pieces they gave me were quite cooked. It was also barely seasoned, so I had to add salt to give it some flavor. The omelet station was pretty good. The waffle station was meh, the waffles were very gritty and crumbly. The table cheese bread was good. The alcoholic drinks were not bad - I got the passionate caipirinha --quite strong. They had waiters come around to upsell their other drinks... The "C" Sanitary rating posted on the front window is of great concern to many who dine there. It indicates "a significant public health risk and health safety issues." It can further mean there could be as many as 28 health and safety violations. This restaurant was formerly rated "A". Fogo is relatively new to Elmhurst, beautiful exterior and interior. It's the most upscale restaurant in the area....to the eye!! Great service! All of this takes a backseat when it comes to our health and safety! However, still worth to go back to that area to try it. Went with family on a Sunday night for birthday celebration. Thankfully we made a reservation because it was fully booked, especially on weekends. They have valet parking next to the restaurant. Went inside and it is very spacious and looks very modern. We decided to try the $65 per person all you can eat. We also ordered wine and cocktail. They have all day happy hour menu for drinks which is nice. They have quite a lot of appetizers to choose from: fruits, salad, eggplant, cheese, soup etc. Besides the cold appetizers, they also served cheese bread, mashed potato to each table! Almost half full before we tried the meat. Different servers came to our table to serve us different types meats: different parts of beef, sausage, chicken, bacon etc. had a very great food experience here. The only thing that I didn't really like was it was a bit too loud, not only we couldn't hear each other but also couldn't hear the servers clearly most of the time. read more

After finding out they had a chain of this restaurant in Elmhurst, Queens, I had to go check it out. Yes, it has both valet, street parking, and a lot that you can park inside yourself. Make reservations as they would rather you do that than walk in. I must say that the wait staff was great but a bit confusing as we weren't sure who was the main person. It was always someone different, so I was a bit perplexed. There's different parts to the menu, I chose the one with that comes with the market bar with Brazilian side dishes & ayce meat that they slice off the long metal skewer which is brought to your table. There are also sides like the cheesy bread, mashed potatoes, and crispy polenta that you can have brought to the table. The bread was really, really good. Don't fill yourself up too much with the sides as that's how they get you. I had to ask for certain meats to be sent to the table like the pork chop, filet mignon, and lamb chops. You can get any cut you want, like medium well, rare, or well done. Just remember to pace yourself. Everything was great. read more
