    Cheesecake that Zena recommended #DEEELICIOUS

We had such a wonderful experience, especially thanks to our waitress, Zena S.! She had such a nice, positive energy and was incredibly polite, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. We were celebrating our 3-year anniversary, and Zena helped make our celebration even more special. She gave us some great recommendations, which we decided to try, and everything she recommended was absolutely delicious! We truly appreciated her kindness and excellent service. She made our anniversary even more memorable, and when we come back, we'll definitely be requesting Zena again!

We popped in today for lunch after a quick little trip to universal. We were seated immediately and chose to order from the bar menu. Our server Jordan was really on top of service and made the experience one to remember. All the food came out perfect , lamb Chops and Burrata and Tomatoes were top tier, we will back again for sure The staff at this location is great .

On Saturday evening, July 11th, our family got together for a birthday dinner to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday. There were 8 of us in total--6 adults and my teenage nephew and niece. We all enjoyed the Full Churrasco experience. I actually came here with my friends back in March, and I remember how delicious the food was and how friendly the staff were. This visit was just as wonderful. Every cut of meat was flavorful, and the service was excellent from start to finish. One of my favorite parts is definitely the salad bar. There were so many delicious options that I ended up filling two full plates, and I was already stuffed before the meat even kept coming! The fried bananas were delicious, the Brazilian cheese bread was amazing, and honestly, everything we tried tasted great. When we were seated, there was already a bottle of sparkling water on our table. The server asked whether we would like to keep it or order a different beverage, and we were happy to have the sparkling water. I also love that they give a complimentary slice of cake to the birthday guest. (Although my brother had already brought a beautiful $90 cake from Sweet Lady Jane for all of us to share!) Before our visit, I purchased four Costco gift cards, which turned out to be a great deal. Each Costco gift card covers $100 in dining credit ($50 × 2) but costs only $78, so it was an excellent way to save money on our family dinner. Note1) Before our visit, I emailed Customer Service to ask about the children's pricing. They confirmed that the children's price applies to kids ages 12 and under, and children 12 and under receive 50% off the Full Churrasco price. (My Niece is 13 now. So, I paid full price) Note 2) They also give the birthday guest a complimentary slice of cake, which is a nice touch. Another thing I really like is that they don't charge a cake-cutting fee if you bring your own cake from outside.

Came here for dinner with friends, and we had a lovely dinner. I think it was one of the supervisors who regularly came by to check on us and chat with us. He was so nice. We had the full churrasco. The meats were delicious as was the dessert I ordered - the Papaya Cream. We left stuffed.

My husband and I visited this location on Saturday July 18 to celebrate a special occasion. It was our first time. We decided on the buffet. Overall the experience we paid for was not worth it. The food was ok, but again it could have been better. For example, getting more meat variety quicker would have been great. Also some meat was over done a bit which made it a bit tough. Again for the price I just expected every piece of meat to taste great. The service wasn't so great either. We've gone to other restaurants that the staff is on it. They are very attentive and making sure everything is great, and we didn't get that here. I understand if it was busy, but honestly the place wasn't crowded at all. We waited a while to get the check because our waiter disappear. The last thing that I did not enjoy at all, there was a staff member trying to upsell a drink. She was walking around each table trying to get people to add this small premade drink to the table. It was a special occasion so I said yes, but it was so bad. It was a pineapple mixed drink, it wasn't cold at all so it didn't good. It was very small for the price and I didn't even finish it. I strongly suggest don't add those drinks to your order, not worth it. Overall disappointed with the experience.

What can I say about this restaurant other than it was excellent!!! We sat as soon as we came in and our server came right away and gave us our water and drinks. And as far as food well I loved it!!! We had such an amazing time here. Ambiance was everything ! I do have to say that we were very happy dining here. I must say that we felt very much at home here. Everyone was attentive ! Manager by the name of AD was one of best managers we've ever met! He came around and made sure everything was good! He was talkative and just has a wonderful personality! I would come back just because he was that good! I highly recommend this restaurant!

If you're seeking an unforgettable dining experience, head to Fogo's Los Angeles location. My wife and 12-year-old daughter and I had an exceptional time there. It was hands down the best steakhouse experience I've had, even better than other Fogo de Chao's. The food was, as always, delicious and amazing! We tried every meat they offered, and they didn't skimp on the portions. The meat kept coming! And let me tell you, the grilled cheese with honey was heavenly. I'm not a big fan of honey, but it elevated the grilled cheese to a whole new level of goodness. Their customer service was simply outstanding! I was surprised to learn that Fogo had a dedicated customer service supervisor for each shift. We had the pleasure of meeting A D, who was truly exceptional. He made our visit exceptional and personalized by building a relationship with us. A D went above and beyond, taking our conversations to a personal level, making my daughter feel like the center of attention, and checking in with us at the perfect times. I've never experienced anything like this before at any restaurant. If you visit Fogo Los Angeles, make sure to ask for A D. The rest of the staff was great, but two others also went above and beyond. Gaucho Elda was incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful, while Gaucho Gio ensured that my daughter's food was to her liking and even made a piece of filet the way she prefers it. Unlike Elda and Gio, no one else asked questions before serving us. As always, The Market Table was filled with delicious food and kept spotless. I noticed a few new items since my last visit. The restaurant was clean and had a perfect atmosphere. A D, Elda, and Gio, thank you for going above and beyond and making us feel so welcome! The restaurant needs more of you!

My family and I celebrated my brothers 21st birthday at Fogo and I've just gotta say it's some of the best service I've ever received in my life. A.D. went above and beyond to make my family and I comfortable- it's like chatting with a family friend! Everything was just incredible. A.D. is the best!!!

Dissatisfied&Disappointed. Don't visit this location if you want the Fogo de Chao experience that's advertised. Went here on Mother's Day: 1. Our server couldn't explain the menu (food or drinks). We ordered, she wrote it down, repeated then left. Another server came to our table to explain the menu, and retook our order which was frustrating and aggravating, y'all know... 2. When I checked my bill the next day, someone adjusted the tip to a higher amount! 3. The meats were great. The cheese and honey was awesome. The bartenders were great, and even the host were polite. The server that could barely speak to us left me feeling bad for her working in the restaurant on a holiday. Then when I saw that my tip had been adjusted to a higher amount I feel sabotaged and let down by this brand.

    Evan F.

I dined her with a large group. Having arrived early I sat at the bar to wait for others. The bartender had an attitude and asked me, "Are you going to order anything?" The bar area was almost empty. So I asked if he could make an Irish Coffee and he said he could. After I ordered another person placed an order and he engaged the customer in a lengthy discussion about a sports event. He finally said, "Wait until I finish with this guy over here," referring to me. I should have left at that point. He finally handed me my drink. No whipped cream, cold coffee, glass only 1/3rd full. He took my credit card from the counter and rang up a charge that was sky high. Double what would have been customary. I got the card receipt after I had already finished off the drink in (literally) two sips. He had the nerve to ask me if I wanted another. He got zero tip and gave me an attitude look. My recommendation - if you dine there, stay away from the bar!! As for dinner it was very nice. The cuts of beef, lamb and chicken were cooked perfectly and were exceptionally seasoned. Service was very friendly and attentive. We also had access to the buffet, but I was a little turned off watching one customer taking Cesar salad out of the bowl with my bare hands. I asked the waiter if there was anymore and was told no. So I passed on the salad. The rice and beans smelled good except the beans were cold. The rest of the buffet was well stocked and offered selections for everyone. This was the first time I've dined at a 'Fogo restaurant and I'm sure I'll dine at another one in the future. But sometimes bad experience can ruin an entire meal. The bartender's attitude and the customer's hands in the salad were disgusting and totally turned off any sense of enjoyment I expected. Parking is valet and I parked across the street in a lot that was convenient and cost half as much. The restaurant is in a vibrant part of DTLA. But traffic conditions at 5:30 pm were horrible. For example I had to make a right and immediate left and cars would not yield for me. When I finally turned a car in cross traffic laid into his horn didn't stop until I finished my turn. If you understand I'm talking about weekday rush hour, well, I am. Just a consideration.

Amazing service! Loved the ambience! I brought a group of Japanese for their lunch on Tuesday before going to see Dodgers play the Phillies. They stuffed themselves with all the meats and were overjoyed with the presentation. I waited on the sideline and ordered off the bar bites menu. Lobster roll tacos! What a delish little bar bite. Wrapped up in Chinese Cabbage seasoned lobster meat, super delicious! Would recommend it to anyone!

My girlfriend and I had dinner at Fogo de Chao in dtla. Interesting location on the corner at Figueroa. We had the full dinner experience. Salad bar, and the Brazilian barbecue meats brought to the table. Everything was good and we enjoyed the dinner. The rib was somewhat overcooked for the first round but better for the 2nd round. Lamb was slightly gamey the first round but tasted better the 2nd round as well. We've eaten at several different Fogo de chao locations and it's interesting to me that there's often quite a bit of variation between locations. I would rate this location as middle of the road. Slower than average rate of proteins coming to the table and some items repeated frequently while others we had to specifically ask for them to be brought out. I'd return.

I has another great time here. They were very accommodating for my birthday when I showed up without a reservation. They gave me a great seat. Jordan and Debora were both great and I appreciated them refilling my drink and bringing over warm pao de queijo quickly. Everything looked and tasted fresh. I recommend the cheesecake brûlée if you have room.

Fogo de Chão Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Fogo de Chão

What are the best parking options?

I park at 7th and Fig and get a validation at Target or one of the other tenants at the mall. It is good for 3 hours during the week Cost is 4 dollars. After 4 pm entry (and all weekend) it is a flat rate of 7 dollars with validation…

    All you can eat?

    Yes

Can u get the lunch menu on weekends?

To be honest with you I have never been here on the weekends, only on weekends days and during special occasions like Mother's Day or Valentine's day. But I am pretty sure that you can.

Looks good! So excited to try this with friends and family. How much for the eat all you can including meats and seafood?

I believe it's about 40+ during lunch and 60+ for dinner. Worth it

Can we bring our own cake to the restaurant?

yes and there's no cake fee! they will gladly refrigerate while you eat and once you're done with your meal they can bring it to you.

Is there a Corkage fee? Or corkage policy?

The corkage fee for a regular sized bottle of wine is $35 - there is no limit to how many bottles you can bring.

    What are their Halal options?

    Picanha is beef not lamb

Do they honor reservations for mothers day?

    Yes they definitely do!!!

    What time is lunch?

    It starts at 12:00

    Is this restaurant kid friendly?

    Yes.

How much is your weekend brunch. Do I need to make reservations for a party of 12?

This particular location is $46.95 for the Sunday brunch as of October2022. Parking is $17 at Joe's parking at 990 8th street. If you can find Street parking, more power to you.

Do you need proof of vaccination when eating outdoors on patio?

Yes, they did ask for proof of vaccination.

Is it halal? And let me rephrase. Are the meats (chicken beef or lamb) obtained from hand slaughtered animals (zabiha halal) only?

No. The lamb however maybe you should check to see if it's from Australia as almost all the lamb from Australia or New Zealand is.

Is the Parking free? Where is it at?

There is parking outside you just need to pay before 8pm it is free after

I am thinking to bringing my family on my 50th birthday on Saturday for brunch here in LA location. What is the difference between Brazilian Brunch and Brunch Churrasco Experience?

They have additional cuts of meats for the dinner. Other than that, there is no difference. I always prefer the lunch vs the dinner for a couple of reasons; there is a price difference and that helps when you have a large group, I especially like…

    Is there a dress code?

None that I noticed. Some were dressed casual in jeans and some were dressed nicely for a brunch style outing

What are the prices. I know are completely different for lunch and dinner?

    I pay 💰around 130 $$

How much is the weekend brunch?

Hello and thank you for reaching out! Our Brazilian Brunch is $31.95 and our Brunch Churrasco Experience is $42.95. We hope to see you in soon!…

Do they offer a kids menu?

The Fogo Churrasco Experience for Children 6 and under is complimentary. Children 7 to 12 are half price.…

Do u need reservations on a Friday night for a party of 5?

    I recommend it.

It was also annoying for the waitress (not the gal that served us btw - a host perhaps) to give the vibe like they were doing us a favor by applying the $50 Birthday promo that THEY send via email (note, I verbally this flagged when we arrived just in case - but they didn't initially have it on our bill). My head is thinking "calm down--we ate minimally and got drinks. Don't offer it if you're going to have an attitude about adjusting the bill". It was just weird. They also didn't offer any bday dessert treat but we weren't super pressed bc we were so full. The meat was a bit overdone and all kind of tasted the same this visit. Didn't get to try the lamb chops and a few other meats, but still has a nice variety. Salad bar is top notch and consistent, although wish their black beans were plain due to all the meat. Drinks were ok--heavy pours but lower quality wine. The $29 "Wine Experience" package was worth it for my husband who likes variety of wines with his dinner depending on what he's eating. I'm sure I'll come again but it's been bumped a few notches on my Go To list.

After parking in what looked like a motel parking lot, I found the entrance to the restaurant. The decor was phenomenal, the vibes were beautiful, and from the moment I walked in, I felt at home. While asking a few questions and trying to decide what to order, I met Miss Fatima herself the legendary owner who has made Café Brasil a staple in Los Angeles for the last three decades. The Feijoada was also great and definitely reminiscent of the last time I've had this dish. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here. This is a spot to get a couple of dishes to share. We walked around and looked at different restaurants. When we found Pampas we noticed that you grab a tray and walk around and self serve the different food items that were offered. When you get to the meat section you tell the person working behind the counter what you would like, they cut off the meat, put it on the plate and you move on. They weigh your plate and then you pay. For my meal I tried several different types of meat, a stew, mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, and rolls. It was a lot of food and very filling. The meat was definitely the best part of the meal. I chose to get two different types of beef, a serving of stew, and some chicken. Both the beef and the chicken were tender and full of flavor. The stew was delicious. I actually served it over my rice and mixed it together for added texture. The pasta and the rice were al dente and honestly I would have preferred them to be a little more tender than firm. The potatoes were good. They had a slightly salty flavor and were smooth. The rolls were good as they were small, with a semi crispy exterior and a soft interior. Overall Pampas Grill is located in a cool outdoor atmosphere. It has friendly service and the food was very filling and flavorful.

I'm not a big fan of overly salted foods, but the meat was so good that I didn't let the undissolved salt crystals ruin my experience. I will have to visit again to make sure it was just an off day. I can't remember which one it was but one of the meats I ordered was dry. Except for that one, everything else was amazing. My favorite is picanha/sirloin cap. For sides, I love the heart of palm salad. Beets were simple and fresh. The collard greens were solid as ever. And if you want something sweet, I recommend the plantains. Something new I noticed is they had Diet Dr. Pepper which honestly made my experience even better. What I enjoy about eating at this location is the upstairs seating right around the corner. There's just something oddly exciting about walking up the stairs with a big plate of food. The window seats are a nice place to sit for better ventilation since that area can get pretty warm. Definitely will be back!

Honestly such a good experience…read more I came in with a very large group. We had made reservations prior to arriving, and they seated us quickly and comfortably. The staff was super attentive, and our server was beyond funny and amazing. He definitely earned whatever tip he was left. Aside from that, they had a great wine selection and an even better meat selection. The environment itself is super cute. It's not super dim, but it's also not overly bright. It just has a really relaxing atmosphere. Overall, I'd definitely return here, maybe with a smaller party next time just to see how the experience compares. Oh and also they don't have a dress code, but you can dress up a little bit for the environment if you'd like.

For starters, Parking is extremely convenient and the restaurant is located on the second floor of the building in the same lot. We were greeted immediately and sat at a comfy booth where my boyfriend's personalized "Happy Birthday" table sign was already waiting for us. I had called ahead to let them know we were celebrating a birthday and it was a cute little touch that I wasn't expecting! The staff was extremely pleasant and attentive as well. The environment is elegant and intimate and the chefs table was not only filled with delicious foods, but it was kept stocked and tidy. I am still dreaming of the tuna poke they had. The drink menu was insaneeee. They had a very large list of wines, beers and cocktails. I ordered a white wine sangria which was strong but good. Finally, the meats were truly breath taking. The picanha was so juicy and tender, it's no wonder why it's their specialty. I would also recommend giving their grilled pineapple a try. It was sooo good. My boyfriend said it tastes like apple pie lol. It's a little more expensive than Fogo De Chao but it is definitely worth every dollar. We will back!
