Third time we've been and we had a bit of an issue of communication. As its the new year holiday they set out a holiday menu. The market table wasn't listed on this menu so we asked if it would be the lunch special price. The young man informed us he wasn't sure but then said it would be the lunch menu price ($18). When we scanned the QR code it brought up multiple menus but not a holiday menu. We chose the lunch menu as it was 2pm and followed those prices. When we received the check everything was $10-15 more. When we asked our server all she said was it was holiday prices and there was nothing she could do. I hate complaining cause i know how hectic and stressful restaurants are but we paid $20 more for three of the meals and $10 more for another despite having asked about the price. read more

My husband & I dined here last night for a special anniversary & we had an amazing experience. All of the servers were so attentive throughout our entire meal. There were so many options to choose from between the cold food bar and the skewers. Eriq was an absolute pleasure to chat with & always made sure we had what we needed. We have normally had really good past experiences here but today was different. We had booked the surf and turf thinking my husband can get the seafood and I can do the normal one. They told us we couldn't mix them. We could have paid less for two and wasted the seafood but we got the regular which is $65, the surf and turf is $59. Weird.[[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is nice and one of the waiters was particularly accommodating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He asked us if there was any specific meat we wanted and we mentioned the lamb chop and fried cheese. The fried cheese came but the lamp chop never showed up. Most of the male waiters just walked past us and only the women stopped. My husband and I are always super courteous and appreciative of the staff since we both work in customer service. The manager never stopped by. We weren't even there for an hour and our cards were still flipped green and the servers who bring the meat just continued to walk past us. Not sure if there is a secret code between them but they just stopped coming by. We didn't over ask or be glutens about it. There were tables around us there before us and after and got everything. Granted we didn't buy booze but we did get sparking water so we weren't trying to be cheap just didn't want to drink tonight. Nonetheless we left over 20% for the wait staff because it's not their fault but it's safe to say we won't return there again. read more

I've been here quite a few times now. The last time we came was on a Sunday, with reservations. It wasn't too busy - definitely not as busy as previous trips to the restaurant. We were a party of 8, so we did have an expectation service would be a tiny bit slow. Unfortunately, we were never offered refills on drinks during our seating. Almost everyone ordered a beverage, but no one was offered refills through our entire seating. Our waters got refilled, but if we had another drink - no one took the time to ask if we wanted another drink and it was hard to get anyone's attention. The meat service was incredibly slow. Every time someone came to the table, the meat was almost gone - so only one or two people would get the meat and even if we expressed interest - no one would come back with a fresh batch. This happened at least four or five times. My end of the table maybe got 4 meats the entire time, due to this happening. We also most definitely weren't offered all of the options. They seemed to skip our table quite a bit, but even worse half of our table didn't get half of the meats that were served just at our table because no one would ever come back. The service has unfortunately just gone downhill, and most of us left prettt disappointed. We were there for a birthday. We certainly won't be back for a while - seemingly the first two or three times we enjoyed it but the last few have gotten progressively more frustrating. We didn't feel it was worth what we paid for it. Usually we are asked at the end if there was anything missed, or anything we were looking for. No one did this last tripI left hungry. UPDATE 7/16/2024: Gave it another go... we have 7:30 reservations on a TUESDAY. We get here at 7:30 all six of us.... The seater tells us that there aren't any six tops available. So why did we make a reservation? We get told we can go wait at the bar. Fine. They are out of Tito's... the well vodka. What full bar is out of Tito's !!! Now it's 50 minutes past our RESERVATION and we're still waiting at the bar... its a Tuesday! They just told us the table would be ready shortly... it's been empty for 15 minutes. No one seems to care about our reservations that we're 50 minutes ago. Also notable - I received a comment on the last time I reviewed this place saying to email my issues. I did. No manager response. Clearly they don't care about their patrons. This has been frustrating. I've dropped the rating down to 2 stars since last visit. read more

This was my first time dining at Fogo de Chao. I visited for Sunday brunch, $46.50 per person, which included the Churrasco Experience and the Brunch Market Table. I might have gotten full off the sides rather than the meat, but everything was delicious! The market table was beautifully arranged. I liked the Brazilian corn, smoked salmon, prosciutto, and potato salad. For the meats, I liked the torresmo (pork belly), picanha, and coredeiro (lamb chops), although sometimes the meats were dry and not seasoned enough. I wish they offered sauces along with the meats. I like how you can grab pieces based on how you want them cooked. I prefer medium rare. The Brazilian sides (poltenta fries, pao de queijo) are also delicious as well. My friend and I ordered the strawberry hibiscus caipirinhas, the Yellowbird, and the Superfruit cocktails. All delicious, but definitely would recommend the caipirinhas as your starter drink. We finished our brunch with the Tres Leches cake, good to share for two. The service was okay - I felt like it was kind of inconsistent, especially because I was looking forward to trying the medalhoes con bacon (chicken, steak with bacon) and they claimed that servers came around with it but they either skipped our table or barely had any at the time. I didn't want to specifically request it because the staff already seemed overwhelmed as it got busier. When we ordered our dessert, there were five servers who noticed our plates were gone and asked us if we wanted dessert, which was already placed. I feel like there needs to be more communication so it is less confusing for the staff. I'd definitely go back to Fogo, but only for lunch instead of dinner. read more

This Providence Place franchise is a bit hit-or-miss for my book. While the food was good, the service was quite spotty and this accounts for my lower rating. The meats were excellent as always (and expected!) as well as their fairly good Marketplace (though I recall other Fogo de Chao franchises (like Dallas) as having more extensive offerings). However, once we were seated, had our appetizers/marketplace offerings, and flipped our markers to green, we didn't get any gauchos approaching our table even though they were passing right by us to other nearby tables with their skewered meats. It wasn't until I actually had to flag down a gaucho and ask him to come to our table that we started to get service. We shouldn't have to do that. My wife doesn't eat meat so she had their cauliflower steak. While plated attractively, it was only okay in her opinion for taste. But she wanted to take the remainder home and it took us asking 4 different wait staff to get finally a take-home container. Again, spotty and inattentive service. Finally, for desserts and coffee, while very good ONCE WE GOT THEM, it took like forever to order and receive them. The desserts were excellent, particularly the creme brulee and the chocolate molten cake. This place would be great fun if service was better. read more

I've been to places similar to this place; I felt like I did not get my moneys worth at this restaurant. After a couple rounds of meat it stopped and I had to say something for it to continue. I couldn't hear what the staff was saying to me. Just wasn't a great experience over all. I have zero problems dropping some money on a great meal but this place wasn't it. Our first time there, joined by two friends,also their first time. We had booked early (5:15 pm) on Saturday. The place was hopping- actually rather chaotic. Lines out the door, so we were glad to have booked. After a ten minute wait we were seated at a table in the middle. Drink orders were taken and how the menu worked was explained. We decided not to order "the works" but individual dishes: the pic (top sirloin), a salmon, chicken and a cauliflower- all accompanied by a wide array of sides. It took a long time for the dishes to arrive- almost an hour! (One of our group had to leave before his dish arrived.) The meat and the cauliflower were fine but the chicken was (surprisingly) rather dry. The check came to around $50 per person including drinks. The waitstaff seemed to be overwhelmed and consequently were not very efficient. This place is worth patronizing if one has time and is hungry - perfect for teenage boys. I will try it again but not on a weekend. I might then give it another star. As we left the restaurant we noted a long line of young people waiting to get in. read more

I recently went with some friends, one of whom had just celebrated her birthday. It was overall, a great dining experience. Cons: There are two levels for you to go and get your salad bar food to bring to your table. It's awkward navigating this, while holding plates of food, especially if someone has a disability. They should have their wait staff available nearby to assist folks who appear to be struggling down the steps or ramp, which was basically me. Also, nearly all the items at the salad bar were cold. I did not find any hot items accept the feijoada and rice. They do serve a few other hot dishes right at your table, like creamy mashed potatoes, and fresh cheese bread. I guess I had a different expectation, though I did enjoy several of the cold items. Also, there are different price tiers for the table-side carving service. You are only supposedly allowed the selection of meat that is what you paid for, but it shuts out some great cuts of meat as an option to you, so be aware when ordering. Also, one or two of the cuts of meat were a little tough and chewy, so my advice is to save room in your belly for the more tender cuts. Pros: The food, for the most part, is excellent. They really take their time with the meat items. The salad bar, while mostly cold, is still very vast with lots of yummy items to choose from. Plus, several of the dishes were vegetarian, or vegan, or gluten free. The wait staff were all great and attentive, especially when coming around to your table. The atmosphere was dark but very welcoming. Obviously the draw to this place is the all you can eat portions, which is worth the splurge if you are dining with friends and want to experience something different but delicious. My favorites were the picanha, the pork belly, and the Brazilian cheese bread. All of these just melted in my mouth. I will be back soon to hopefully try out their brunch menu. read more

I was surprised by my girlfriend a birthday dinner here. Upon arrival my friends and family were not seated and they actually gave away the table away after telling them it was a surprise party. My girlfriend ordered the salmon and the shrimp cocktail for the table along with drinks. The drinks took about 25 minutes to get and we never received the shrimp cocktail. The salmon arrived cold and we told them to forget about the shrimp cocktail. The staff were extremely nice but there were so many things that went wrong. The water we were offered was only still or sparkling but we were never offered regular water. We paid $40 for still . . . The time came to pay and they still included the salmon after they promised to remove it. They took off the salmon and the bill went up $80! Like how do we remove an entire salmon and it gets more expensive? Finally they did right and we went about our day. I've been to Fogo de Chaco in Boston and that place was nothing but short of amazing! They need to take lessons from the management there. read more

The service was extremely attentive and friendly, the Ambiance was warm and welcoming. It was a busy Sunday afternoon and tables without reservation were hard to come by or non existent, the Bar was a great choice. I go the Fogo De Chão in Beverly Hills all the time. This place in comparison is a customer service disaster. To begin with the host sat us in a really high traffic location right next to the buffet, I asked to move tables to one that was in a lower traffic area. The host said he didn't have any other tables for 2. When I confronted him, he was forced to admit that wasn't true and reseated us. The buffet was picked over for the duration of time we were there. My son ordered a $10 bowl of ice cream for dessert which came to the table half melted. I ordered black tea for dessert. The tea came without any sugar or sweetener. I had to ask them to bring sweetener, which they didn't do for another 10 minutes, by which time the tea was cold. The hot water container for the tea didn't have any water in it at all, so after I got the sweetener, I had to ask for hot water which left me waiting again. On the way out the floor was so greasy I almost slipped and cracked my head open. This place is an unmitigated disaster, and worked out to be more expensive than the Beverly Hills location. Pretty weak, folks. Get it together. I came out for a superior dining experience and the only thing superior ended up being the price. read more

Our waitress introduced herself at the start but I fell like I didn't see much of her until we were almost finished. The gentleman (I'm assuming was her backup) came and cleared my plate when I wasn't finished. I was a little take back because I had just asked the waitstaff for a specific item. I was offered a new plate but at that point was just over the experience. The restaurant itself was beautiful and you can tell a lot of effort went into it. I was with a party of four, and it was the first time there for all of us. It really seemed like they wanted us to order the very minute we sat down. The server nagged us to death to put an order in. I just wanted to look over the menu, see what the choices were for entrees, etc., and have a cocktail. The server pestered so much that I ended up just ordering the Market Table, which in my opinion was underwhelming for the price. My water was never refilled. I was never asked if I wanted a second cocktail. We sat there with dirty, empty plates in front of us for close to 30 minutes before we were able to get someone's attention to order dessert. The meat cutters were very attentive to my fellow diners, and I was told that the meats were delicious, so there's that at least. None of us plan to return, though. read more

People were waiting everywhere - crowding the front desk, spilling into the dining room, and on the sidewalk outside. The dining room was just chaos. We were finally seated and although some of the food was good, the salads and sides at the buffet were nothing special. Women's restroom floor was covered in water. Specifically asked for beef short ribs and never got them. the whole thing was just disorganized and chaotic. Not the father's day experience I was hoping for. Had an amazing dinner here on a Friday night a few weeks ago. Had a party of 6 and the wait staff was excellent and on top of everything. We even had a member of our party with a strict allergy diet and they were able to provide an allergy menu and provided a safe meal for her. All of the meat was tender and very good. We even ordered the wagyu ribeye for the table that was served on a hot salt stone. It was a very nice presents too and the steak was worth the price.
