My first time at this location but not my first rodeo at Fogo de Chao. I have been to other locations in Miami and San Diego. This one is brand new. The restaurant is beautiful and inviting. It has a great vibe and it has prime location in Reston Town Center. Parking is a hassle on weekends, so I highly recommend using valet parking or arriving very early. The food was great (with one exception) The service was excellent (also with one major exception). Our reservation for a party of three was at 5:45 PM on a Saturday. Very busy night, but they took care of us quickly. We were seated on the back room of the restaurant, which is actually a great section. It's quiet and more intimate, away from the craziness and the "market table" (i.e. salad bar). So far, so good. Our servers were extremely attentive the whole night. Their service was impeccable. The popular cocktail here is the Caipirinha. They will try to upsell you the Premium version (almost twice as expensive as the regular one). No problem, so I agreed to have the premium instead. The cocktail was pretty bad, with a lot of alcohol and not much flavor. I had to return it and ask that they fix it, which they did. I still do not recommend you go premium. Not worth the updgrade. First half of our dinner was great, but then, a party of 8 people comes along and they get assigned the table behind us. No problem, there is room for that. HOWEVER, the party of 8 has a baby with them, and they put their stroller right next to our table. One of the people on my party had to move to the other side of the table because this was uncomfortable. I first blame the people on that party for lack of manners and consideration. However, I blame the restaurant even more, for letting this happen and not doing anything about it. If I'm paying almost $300 for our meal the last thing I want is a stroller on my face. I can deal with that at my local McDonald's, but not at a place like Fogo. There are ways to deal with situations like this, but the restaurant did nothing about it, hence the reason I cannot give them a higher rating than 3 stars (which I think is generous). PRO TIP: In order for Fogo the Chao to make a profit, they have a very clever system to make sure you get full before the most expensive cuts of meat get to your table. So here's what I suggest you do (assuming you love filet mignon and other tenderloin cuts and that's why you came here): As soon as you get seated, ASK your server to bring you the filet mignon. This is their prime meat and they want you to eat less of it and eat it last, preferably when you are full. Even if you order it from the get go, it will take a while for them to bring it to your table (in our case it took more than 20 minutes). Resist the temptation of filling up yourself with the food at the salad bar. This is low cost food (still quality food, don't get me wrong) that will fill you up fast! (breads, soups, salads). You come to a place like Fogo to pig out on quality meat, so start there. You can always eat lettuce or cold meats at home. For the first 20 minutes, they will come to your table with a ton of chicken and sausages. This is by design, again, to fill you up with the less expensive stuff so be careful how much you eat first. In addition to the meats, they will bring other delicious items to your table, such as grilled cheese, polenta fries, cheese bread, and more. Again, this is made to make you fill full as quickly as possible. Avoid the temptation. Stayed focused on your carnivore goal! Just because they bring a ton of meat to you does not mean you should say yes. Take your time to enjoy and digest your food, they will keep coming all night long, so don't suffer from FOMO. Arrive between 4:40 PM and 5:30 PM on weekends (reservations are a must). You will avoid the crowds and give more time to your body to digest your food and sleep much better at night! All in all, our experience was mixed. Quality food and great servers, but a lousy cocktail and a baby stroller that almost became the fourth person in our party. Not a great experience. Would I come back to this Fogo the Chao? Probably not. If you want better options in the vicinity where I am absolutely certain that they would never let a stroller get in the way of a pleasant meal, go to Morton's or Davio's. Both within walking distance. Let the stroller crowd take over Fogo the Chao. read more

First time here. The meat was good - there were some that were too rare (and I like rare). Different types: beef, lamb, chicken, bacon wrapped beef and chicken, and even smoked cheese (which was delish). Large quantity of choices at their salad bar (recommend the artichokes). But don't fill up on the salad bar or you won't have room for the meat. I got a good fill with good meat selection. Wait staff was good and they kept our drinks filled but didn't take constructive criticism well (e.g., can we have the meat servers come to our table? Ordering of more adult beverages). Only disappointment for us is that we didn't get the immediate attention for meat serving as the tables around us (we were near the salad bar). We asked our waiter who may have asked the servers to come to our table - but we found ourselves waiting long (15-20 minutes) for meat. Even flagging the meat servers they said they would come and didn't immediately. For the price, I would have expected more servings and attention. Good place. Hopefully others have had better experiences. read more

This place has become my first choice for all celebrations, happy hours, and whenever I think about FOOD. You can not beat the impeccable SERVICE. The restaurant staff, from the time I walk through the front door are friendly, attentive, and helpful. They make the AMBIANCE that much more pleasurable. Fogo de Chão - One one my many favorite alcoholic beverages, specially made at Fogo and it's delicious - Brazilian Near Me - Reston, Virginia

Not as good as I'd hoped, but still enjoyed my dinner here. The layout was awkward and the tables were close together, so the place felt cramped and it was hard to walk around crowds. It felt even more cramped since they sat us in the back corner of the restaurant where the garcons had a hard time serving us meat. It was a struggle for us as customers, as well as the employees. The floors were really slippery too - poor choice in flooring and a potential safety hazard. The restaurant was too dim as well, making it hard to check for the doneness of the meats. Overall, ambiance was not good. The meats were great, though - I enjoyed the garlic picanha the most. Some meats were too salty and some were too tough, but the sides helped a lot. Not as many options at the salad bar compared to other Brazilian steakhouses, but they were still delicious. I really liked the potato salad and carmelized bananas. The mashed potatoes were dry, and the crispy polenta was salty, which was a bummer. Service was great - everyone was friendly, helpful and attentive. Overall, I would not come back and don't recommend Fogo de Chao unless it is the only place available for you. It's not bad, just not the best. From not bringing items requested on a timely manner to being ignored by the gauchos serving the meats. Today we waited for over 2 hours for grilled pineapple. This location of Fogo de Chao is consistent in taste and quality compared to it's other locations, however, I believe the atmosphere and decor in this spot is outstanding. Of course you'll be tempted to overeat... isn't that the spirit of this place?! Set goals - avoid the delicious and tantalizing buffet... most of the stuff is brought around to you anyways (like mashed potato's). And who needs salad at a steakhouse?! If you've never been, just wear something with good stretch and prepare to get the meat sweats. The cuts of meat are excellent and there are a variety of sauces if you choose to try them. My only concern is that the service usually seems rushed and/or you have great difficulty finding your server because they don't come around to the tables as often as they should. We have always had to wait on drink orders, refills, and for our checks. I honestly considered 3 stars because we waited 40 minutes for our server to come over and give us our check (more waiting required...) but the food and ambiance is great, so I bumped the review to 4 stars. Maybe lower your expectations a bit for service. The cocktails are delicious and priced reasonably for the area and consistent with restaurant ambiance. I really enjoy their bar menu and it's one of the best spots in RTC to grab a glass of wine - all Argentinian wines (yay, Malbec!) are $8 anytime! Compared to a glass of Malbec across the street at Jackson's, you can get 2 here for the price of 1 there! Bar tenders are always friendly, attentive, and fun to talk to. read more

The service was decent, but several times we were asked if we wanted specific meats and they never delivered. The salad bar was great and the meats that we did have were delicious. This is their newest location in Nova. Of course, I reserved the table for Christmas's dinner. There were packed (luckily I made the reservation), I got the table so quickly. Start with their market table, they have variety options of salads, soups etc. I love love love their maple syrup bacon, sooo good. Lamb was the best out of all the meat. Pork ribs were ok. Ambiance is great and romantic, luxury dining experience. Downsides: -Soup was cold, even though they're in the hot pot -Dont have many choices for Fruits, not sure if its because of their almost close time. Alright, 4 stars. Here we go. We come for the lunch with the kids. Kids under 6 is free so this is a huge win. Meaning...stack your pregnancies together OBV so you can feed your kids fogo for free. The price is cheaper than dinner and pretty worth it. The salad bar isn't that great. Subtract points. The meat selections are decent, I love their lamb steak (their lamb chops are meh. Chima's lamb chops are WAY better). The bacon wrapped filet is yummy. I'll be honest, their picanha is kinda gamey....maybe 4/5 times it is. Chima's picanha is made of unicorn dreams. This one? I get it cuz who doesn't order picanha at Brazilian bbq, but I don't get too many pieces. Im all about their lamb here. AND THEIR HONEY CHEESE. Drool. Redeeming factor here. Why 4? I think Chima edges this place out. Unfortunate there's no lunch on weekdays for chima though. Overall, 4/5. The value is nice. The quality of meats do not beat out Chima here. read more

I do not recommend dining at the Fogo de Chao location in Reston, especially around the holidays. My wife and I had a terrible experience there on Christmas Eve that ruined our holiday celebration. We had reservations at 9 PM made through OpenTable. However, when we arrived, there was no hostess and staff tried claiming the restaurant was closed, despite our existing 9 PM reservations. We had to argue just to be seated. The service throughout the meal was painfully slow and inattentive. The food seemed rushed and tasted like leftovers. They began shutting down the restaurant around us just 15 minutes into our meal - clearing the Market Table, turning up the bright lights, and destroying any ambiance. Making matters worse, staff mopped near the entrance as they rushed to close without any wet floor signs. My wife and I both nearly slipped leaving. Clearly the staff wanted to end their shifts for the holiday with no regard for reservation holders. I do not blame the serving staff wanting their own holiday time. But reservations should not be accepted if the restaurant is closing early or unable to provide adequate service. As paying customers, we did not receive the quality dining experience expected from Fogo de Chao. Between the service failures, rushed leftover food, shutting down around paying customers, and dangerous mopping incident, I cannot recommend dining at this location, especially for holidays or special occasions. It seems reservations are meaningless if the staff decides they want to close early. Management clearly needs to improve holiday operations and honor reservations that are made. read more

I knocked a couple stars off because it is a bit pricey imo, and the actual table waitress/ Waiters are hard to come by for drink refills, questions, desert menu etc. I asked 3 different people about 4 times for soda refills for the kids and it took way too long. We didn't have the best experience. The staff really wants to churn through customers as much as possible. The steaks had little to no flavor. They were bringing the steak out faster than the meat could cook. We were brought the same type of meat multiple times. The whole experience felt hurried. I have never been to Fogo before. I heard different reviews from awesome to overpriced to bland at work. Ok, I'll figure it out. I doubt you can go wrong with different varieties of grilled meat. I went with a buddy last week. I was caught in the monsoon we had so I was soaked from my waist down, squish squish in my shoes. I was there and wasn't going home. We had a reservation for 6 PM. The waiter starts with picanha, then the garlic sirloin. Very tasty. We had lamb, beef ribs, pork chop...the list goes on. The only thing that I did not care for was the bacon wrapped sausage (?). Had a funny taste. Service was pretty good. The meat keeps rolling along so be ready for it. Lots of servers serving all the different meats. Everything was perfectly cooked and served hot and fresh. I would recommend Fogo to newbies. It's definitely something different. It's a lot of food so I don't recommend eating lunch. Will be back at some point. read more

There is no possible way that this place has such a high review like this. Tho the service was amazing (thanks Sandra!), but their food was absolutely unpleasant. Tasted like cheap grilled meat from Kroger. Everything was a bloody wreck, no flavor, as if it was never marinated. $65 for $14 in meat. Executive chef should feel pretty embarrassed on this one. They tried to over salt to hide their bad lake of taste, but the bacon/salty experience will last the days ahead. Thank goodness for A1 sauce, that was our only savior. Haven't had A1 since Outback. Hope Fogo Corporate can come save this kitchen. If this is Fogo does Brazilian meats, wow I'm unimpressed. I recommend a real Brazilian Steak House vs the food here. Ruined evening We have been to several Fogo locations for many years, including bringing groups of friends to wine dinners. We were disappointed last night to be left staring at empty wine glasses and a bare table. The restaurant was not very busy. The host was attentive and seated up at a nice outside table near the serving door. Server took our order, after a while returned water and empty wine glasses. We never saw her again. There were no napkins, silverware, or small plates on the table. After waiting 10 min. someone brought one of the shareable orders, we asked for plates and silverware in order to eat. He said he'd tell the server. Never saw anyone again, waited for another 15 min as the dish became cold. I let the host know what happened and to let the manager know we would be leaving. He said "sorry", returned to table still no service, and we left. Can't review the food or wine as we never received any read more
