One of the worst dining experiences I've had. From the beginning, the service was extremely disappointing. The food came out in tiny portions, and instead of bringing everything together, they would bring one small dish and then make us wait another 20 minutes for the next item. The entire meal felt disorganized, and we spent most of the time just waiting. What made it worse was that the quality and experience did not match the price at all. Despite the terrible service, we still decided to leave a $20 tip because we understand servers work hard. However, after leaving, I noticed my card was charged $67, which was shocking and very frustrating. This is not how customers should be treated. We were seated at the bar because the main dining area where the game was being shown was completely full. From there you could barely hear the TV, which made it hard to follow the match or enjoy the experience. The set menu was also a disappointment. I understand it came out to about $55ish per person, but what you actually receive is very minimal: two chicken sliders, a shared charcuterie board with strangers, shared slices of picanha with strangers, and a shared bowl of pão de queijo and two drinks (I don't drink). It felt like because we were seated at the bar and not in the main dining area, we didn't really get the full experience. On multiple occasions staff mentioned they were "so busy," which I understand, but we were consistently told this while waiting for items that never fully came or were delayed. Have you ever had food so good that it made you want to cry? The steak cuts were so juicy, they splashed in my mouth when I took a bite. The lamb made me see stars. Oh my god. Even the salads! I had this one with basil sauce and it was so good! I came with a group of 16 I believe? Large party. We made reservations the day before. They were very accommodating of our party! We had a constant rotation of people coming by to drop off new foods, and if there was ever one we wanted to see, all we had to do was ask and they would bring specific cuts. We had some kids with us and they'd even cook the meats to well for them! Just a lovely group all around. The dim lighting of the place is a subtle way to really make you focus inward on the table. Came here on Tuesday, June 16, while it's a slower day for sure not a busy weekend at 5:30 PM the meat shouldn't be overcooked and taste like rubber with almost every single piece of meat serve served the outer skin was burnt to a crisp and hard as a rock. Went to use the restroom and the trashcan inside the restroom had no trash bag and the wall mounted paper towel dispenser was sitting very lopsided not a good look for a somewhat high-quality restaurant where you're paying $70 for an experience and the experience includes cold food overcooked food burnt food flies gnats and mosquitoes and a despicable bathroom that had turd stains on the toilet seat. When I addressed the bathroom to the manager he claimed oh we don't have to put trash bags in our trash cans in the bathroom which technically by law they don't but he was acknowledging that they don't care to even put them in in the first place which again for a $70 experience do you think they would take better care of their facilities. Also ordered a old-fashioned that tasted 95% straight water and after one sip I sent it back and they said oh don't worry we've taken the drink off complementary from your bill Will no shit I'm not gonna pay for a watered down drink that tastes nothing like an old-fashioned but they thought they were doing me a favor by removing the charge for something I refused. I paid with cash and my change was supposed to be $40.10 and they just gave me 2x $20s back and held the dime which is theft. I hosted a networking event at Fogo de Chão back in February. We had a food and beverage minimum but due to last minute no shows we ended up slightly under it. I was surprised that they weren't flexible. Instead of offering a reasonable solution to keep me satisfied (like rolling drinks onto the bill) they simply charged me out of pocket $300. I followed up multiple times and eventually they replied saying no credit or fix was possible. I even reached out to the overall manager to no response. In other situations, I've always found win-win solutions with venues that kept the relationship going. I host regular networking events and this could have been ongoing business for them. I recently went to FdC with a group of about 8 friends. I had not been to this location in about 10 years, but was very happy with how good the service and food still was. We had an amazing time. The waiters were very attentive and made the experience fun. The buffet had all the good stuff that made you want to go back for more. My old pun from my Miami Lakes days is still valid as I can never be a vegetarian. This continues with the last weekend in Miami spice where I met a friend for dinner. I'll tell you if you are a meat lover, Fogo is the kind of place where both your tummy and your pockets will leave very happy. Their $45 dinner menu has as much of a spread as if you went full price (I think only two types of cuts are not in the Spice menu). You definitely will have to put to use the little yes and no signs on the table because the flow of meat, of delicious yummy meat is practically nonstop! We first started off with their salad bar, from which everything I tried tasted fresh. My favorites were the caprese salad, ají cachucha (sweet peppers), as well as a corn and tomato salad. I didn't see the feijoada although it was listed in the menu. Of the meat cuts, I definitely loved the picanha, both the steak & chicken medallions as well as the sirloin. I found the chicken to be pretty juicy as well. We did have to remind them to bring us the queijo asado (fire grilled Brazilian cheese with honey drizzle) as it was on the menu but hadn't made it to our table. As far as desserts we tried both the Creme brûlée and brigadiero. The creme brulle was definitely my favorite with its lightly crispy crust and berry garnish. The brigadero seemed lacking; it looked like just a regular piece of chocolate cake. The ambience was very nice, with the right amount of lighting and a certain corporate luxe. Lighting over the salad bar was my "architectural highlight". By the way, salad bar ingredients were deliciously fresh but some weren't labeled. This could be an issue for someone with allergies. I love Happy Hour here, great food, very good drinks, at the bar and Patio they have Happy Hour all day every day, just amazing But service nowadays is pretty bad, we went at 4 pm, nobody was there and yet it took forever to get the food, we had 3 different bartenders while there and not once one of them asked if we wanted to order something else, every time we had to call them to order, ask about our foo etc. I hope the service can improve going forward, I know there has been a management change, not sure if that is the reason, it will not stop me going there, I just hope to have a better service next time. read more

I'm an American, bi-lingual in portuguese, with over 40 years of first-hand experience with Brazilian food culture, both in Brazil and in the States. Let's get the worst aspect of Fogo de Chão out of the way first: A total lack of service structure so egregious that once we were seated, we felt basically on our own for the next hour and a half. No one came by to take drink orders, to engage us, or to explain anything (which would have been unnecessary anyway). I've been to Fogo many times and it never disappoints! This time we came in for lunch on Xmas day, it was busy but we got seated right away. The service was top notch and we ordered some lime caipirinha to start. Immediately once we turned the card over we had a gentleman offer us picanha which is our favorite cut! It was super juicy and cooked medium which is how we like it! I tried the rice, beans, candied bacon and Cesar salad from the salad bar and everything tasted fresh and delicious. This was my first time at any Fogo de Chao location. I called at 5:30 to make a reservation for 6:30 and the girl at the desk told me that they were very booked. I asked if they could accommodate walk-ins, she said maybe. So i went to OpenTable and made a reservation. Funny enough every 15 mins were available online for appointments, so pretty much the hostess/receptionist that answered my call sucked. I arrived with my mom for dinner. In the elevator we met a walk-in who was sat right away because MOST OF THE RESTAURANT was free at 6:30PM. Service was impeccable. Julianna waited on us and she was very friendly and welcoming. We had picanha, fraudinha, sausage, lamb and of course the buffet. The buffet included all of the Brasilian staples. Farofa, molho vinagrete, palmitto, cold cuts and salads. I could eat like this every night. The ambiance was very inviting. The lighting and the music create the perfect atmosphere for something romantic or great for a large party. We were excited to try this place but unfortunately the food and their salad bar was VERY underwhelming in every way. We opted out of the endless meat rotation and just ordered entrees with access to the salad bar. They served us a really small portion of mashed potatoes, sweet plantain and fried yuca as a side and it was tasteless. The salad bar options wasn't great either and the chef who made my salmon was scared of seasoning because it had none. The drinks were the only stars of the night. So disappointed with our first experience at this restaurant. We went as a part of a wedding party last night with high expectations since we've heard great things about this place. The servers were very kind but we kept having to ask for the meat to be brought out because by the time they'd reach our side of the table the meat was over since it was a big table. They'd also completely forget about our side and they'd skip us so we barely tried any meats at all and basically paid for salad. The only meat we tried was the picanha and steak wrapped in bacon which was delicious. We asked several times for our meat medium well which was most of our table's preferences yet it was always either rare or well done and we had to basically skip those. The desserts were ok, the chocolate one was good but nothing amazing. The strawberry cheesecake was pretty good probably the best out of the three we tried. The key lime one was not good, it has the most artificial lime taste ever.
