You riding down Canal Street. You see the sign Fogo de Chao. Stop! Look! Enter. It is a Brazilian experience in the heart of NOLA.

Ky is so sweet. I have written several reviews on Fogo but my experience with Ky made me review before I left this establishment. Because she deserve to get her accolades A refreshing and great experience. ky is just two weeks in and knows what it take to make more than satisfied customers. Ky understood the rewards program and explained some things we were foggy on. On a Tuesday night out to claim our $1 reward, Ky turned it in to a $10 reward experience. In other words our drinks were amazing. Great membership experience if I do say so myself

Was a fun experience and enjoyed it! There is so much food! The lobster mac n cheese was amazing!

We ordered a lot to try and sample

Food Meat was flavorful but my pieces were kind of dry because the pieces were from the outside and well done I prefer my meat medium rare I couldn't seem to communicate what my preference is Service however was excellent Very attentive Polite Wanted to make things right Everything is clean classic simple not elegant or fancy Very comfortable There is only one ladies room so make sure you go early Overall it was a very good delicious experience to try all the different meat. My only wish is to get more medium rare slices of meat

New Year's Eve Dinner with amazing friends. The winner was the Garlic Steak, Parmesan Pork and Rack of Lamb. But the real MVP was our hilarious server Mitilde. She was friendly, efficient and just had a great attitude and jokes - the girl got jokes. We all really enjoyed the food, atmosphere and of course, the meats!! My friend also said the ginger soup from the salad bar was delicious. I am a big fan of the little red chili peppers and roasted garlic (also at the salad bar). Perfect with the picanha steak! We left so full we couldn't go out afterwards.

After dinner, we had to go to another place to get grilled cheese/fries for the person who never got any of the food he ordered.... So sad

We really have loved fogo de Chao experience in the past so we excited to bring a group of 11 for a dinner celebration. We did not realize it would become the worst dining experiences we ever had. We all arrived on time and were seated . Orders were taken. We all chose a meat dish except for two people. One person that ordered sea bass (trying to avoid red meat) and one vegetarian that ordered baked cauliflower. We were told that the market bar was included in our dish and it will be endless meat of our choice by just flipping the card at the table. The server will come meat to carve at the table. There was also suppose to be cheese bread and banana flambee. We grabbed a dish of the market bar which was decent... but the nightmare began... The server that was supposed to to bring various meat came one time only for the people who ordered picanha. The person who ordered lamp champ did not get any service until an hour into the dinner. The cheese bread also was not available (still in the oven till over an hour and half into dinner..) The person who ordered the sea bass (who avoids eating red meat) got the sea bass almost an hour into the meal. The outside looked beautifully baked but when he cut into the piece, it was translucently raw and cold in the middle.... He decided to change to chicken since he is now super hunger.. Another 40 mins later.. despite asking the server more couple time, the chicken never showed up.... I left the meal with only 2 slices of the meat since they only came once.... They said they should be coming 'soon'.... We asked for the server to speak to the manager. When we got the bill, instead of removing both the fish and chicken dish that we never received, the manager gave us a 'discount'.. since the person had the 'salad bar'!!! It was the worst service, food, and overall experience we ever had. We have been to many Fogo de Chao's. Would not recommend anyone to come to this location. Even though we shared our experience during the meal, the service never changed and the food ever arrived. The manger never apologized nor offered us any discount on all the other orders despite the fact the unlimited table side meat carving experience came "ONCE". While we were there The only picture we had was the grilled cheese and fries we got the person who never got any food while he was at the restaurant..

Second time here and it just keeps getting better! The food was amazing -- every bite was full of flavor. But what really makes this place special is the staff. Coco is absolutely incredible! So friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great time. Huge shoutout to Coco, Johnny, and Ivy for the warm, welcoming vibes. Can't wait to come back again!

My First Brazilian Steakhouse Experience -- A Carnivore's Dream This was my first-ever Brazilian steakhouse experience, and I had it at Fogo de Chão in New Orleans during my second visit to the city since 2000. These photos were taken in 2022, and the night was nothing short of unforgettable. Once I flipped the card to green, it was game on--servers arrived one after another with skewers of perfectly grilled meats. The picanha and ribeye were absolute highlights: juicy, tender, well-seasoned, and carved right at the table. The sides were just as memorable: 1. Sweet plantains - warm, caramelized, and comforting. 2. Polenta fries - crisp on the outside, soft inside, lightly dusted with cheese. 3. Mashed potatoes - smooth, rich, and topped with scallion oil. The service was fast, polished, and friendly. Everything flowed effortlessly, and the atmosphere had a festive yet refined energy that made the whole experience feel special. If you're a carnivore (like me ), this place is paradise. Fogo de Chão isn't just a restaurant--it's a full-on culinary performance centered around flavor, fire, and tradition. Highly recommended for meat lovers, first-timers, or anyone looking for a special night out.

We celebrated my daughter's college graduation at De Brazil Steakhouse, and our attendant, Logan, made our evening truly special. From the moment we were seated, Logan was incredibly polite, pleasant, welcoming, and genuinely kind. His hospitality and positive attitude turned a stressful day into smiles, laughter, and a celebration we will never forget. He made our family feel cared for and ensured my daughter's graduation dinner felt special. One memorable highlight of the evening was celebrating with a special toast of Louis XIII for my daughter. Logan shared in the excitement and made the experience feel extra memorable for our family. It was clear he truly enjoys creating meaningful moments for his guests, and his enthusiasm made us smile right along with him. "The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and perfect for celebrating such a special occasion with family." In a world where great customer service can sometimes be hard to find, Logan reminded us what true hospitality looks like. Thank you for helping make my daughter's graduation celebration such a delight. Logan is truly an asset to your team! Highly recommend!

Approached the hostess area and informed them we were here early and all parties were there. She asked if it was 5 adults and I informed her no, 3 adults 2kids and we'd need a high chair. Hostess said okay be a couple minutes. No problem. I get a text through open table my reservation had been updated to 3. Hostess alerts us we're ready and they seat us at a small 4 top table. Inquire as to where a 5 top is and they tell us that since we have a high chair it doesn't count so their policy is to put us at a smaller table. Look around and everybody with kids has plenty room at their table except one couple where the child was seated on a lap. Inform them that we requested and reserved space for 5 not 4 and are told "this is what we do". Moment later the male manager comes by and seems to be agitated and asks how many are in the party and I tell him 5. He then says it'll be awhile and storms off. Shortly after they push two two-top tables together in the front hear the hostess stand and seat us. If you're not familiar with TDB it's the Brazilian style steakhouse where they bring the meat to your table on large skewers. They have a large help yourself salad bar with plenty of options and additions. Their lobster bisque is absolutely delicious. The meat was phenomenal as usual. The picahna/top sirloin was the best followed up by flank steak. They had filet mignon, spicy sirloin, sausage, Parmesan chicken and pork, and tri tip on the menu. All was good. I will say that I don't recommend sitting in the front as the gauchos don't seem to venture to the front as often as they do the middle to rear area and when they did they were generally less quality on the meat option. Management did come to the table a couple times and ask for request and we would get very fresh options then. It was pricey this go around at approximately $60 per adult and the 4 year old was $5. We had spring water because I didn't realize they charged you $8 per bottle. We also had a bottle of TDB Cab wine $52 and it was good. I prefer the TDB red blend though. I've always been a fan of TDB but this trip really aggravated me with the seating options then the smart aleck mouth on the hostess and both managers. Our waitress was nice but she wasn't as attentive as should be for a place of this price. She had multiple tables and we seemed to be bottom of the list. After 15 or so minutes we had to ask the manager for our wine and replacement bread took about 30 min before she got back to us. Our table was never busted as we sat, we had to remove the dirty plates and set on an adjacent table ourselves. I will say make a reservation before you go because they were super busy on a Saturday night. I'm giving 2 stars due to the experience. The food quality was really good on this trip though.

Service Despite having a limited menu specifically for Valentine's Day, service was slow. It took two hours to get through all three courses. We had the same server as the last time, and she was still warmer to my wife. I'm a customer too and will gladly spend my money elsewhere. Another thing I find annoying is they're always trying to get you to buy a bottle of wine. When I saw the special menu on Open Table, it didn't mention alcohol. We tried to substitute the required bottle of wine with mocktails, but that was a no-go. Presentation: 11/10: They make some of the most beautiful drinks and dishes. Every dish is magazine-worthy. Food Ropa Viega--8/10-the meat was chewy, but had a good flavor. The cornbread was ok. Crabmeat Spring Rolls--8/10--these were different, like a crab cake inside of an egg roll. Hanger Steak--7/10--the steak had the texture of roast, and reminded me of my appetizer. The execution, while pretty, didn't align with my expectations. Baked Banana Mango Cheesecake: 7/10: I like that it was light. Oftentimes cheesecake is heavy. Pan de Pan--5/10--I didn't try the ice cream, but this is not a good take on bread pudding. It was way too dry and didn't have much flavor. Green Passion Mocktail--9/10--cucumber-forward, but still pretty tasty and satisfying.
