New and outstanding hidden little gem just off Temecula valley parkway! Discovered them after a member of the Temecula Talk Facebook group had shared that they had a great experience here, so my husband and I were eager to check it out. We popped in around lunch time on a Thursday so it was pretty quiet. We actually missed it as we circled the parking lot a couple times looking for it--but just look for the restaurant next to Yo Cheesesteak with the outdoor patio! From the time we entered their establishment until the time we left, the service was absolutely outstanding. We were able to sit wherever we wanted which was great cuz we have a 5 month old baby tagging along with us in a large UPPAbaby stroller that takes up quite some space but they had plenty of room for us here. As we waited for our drinks, they served us an excellent Mexican noodle soup with a salty, delicious broth. Very good! As an appetizer, we ordered the Queso Fundido which comes with mushrooms, onions, and chorizo. When she brought it out, it was sizzling and steaming and smelled OH SO DELICIOUS!...and it was! Every bite of it. And how could I forget to mention the homemade corn tortillas...mmm...so warm and fluffy and comforting! I'm seriously starting to drool just recalling how good they were. For our entrees, I ordered the Chile Relleno Burrito and my husband ordered the Steak Fajitas with cactus and onion. As we waited for our meals, our server brought out three different salsas in bottles--a green one, an orange one, and a red one. I immediately went for the green one thinking it would be the least spicy of the three, maybe a mild verde sauce? I was wrong! It was definitely the hottest haha but nevertheless it was flavorful and very delicious if you can tolerate the heat! All three sauces were very, very good to be honest but none of them are mild so this is your warning lol Man, oh, man were we stoked when our entrees came out after a very short wait! This place is quick, which is great when you're hungry! My chile relleno burrito was AWESOME!!! But I should note that it does have egg in it, which I was not expecting (it does say that it contains egg in their menu so that's my fault for not paying attention). I could do without the egg but it was still a super delicious burrito and seriously massive! I think I only got through a third of it and had to box up the rest to bring home. My husband liked his steak fajitas but he thought the pieces of steak were a little thin and maybe better suited for a burrito rather than stand alone fajitas. I agree, they were very thin but they weren't bad. We're excited to go back and try some of their other dishes! Overall, great new spot! I hope they do well in Temecula! read more

The food and hortchata loca were delicious. I had the sope de cabeza and a carne asada mulita. They were both really good, the sope was crispy and not soggy. Cleanliness of the bathrooms was spotless - a great tell that the rest of the restaurant is the same. The owner Linda was absolutely incredible - such a wonderful hostess that gave us food samples to try out menu items. The mole, nopales, and the options for crepes was totally epic! This was our first time trying this locally small owned restaurant and it was amazing!! The service was 10/10, thanks to Francisco being so attentive and friendly. We ordered two omelettes (the chueco and marranito) which were very good, we left no leftovers. The salsas were very flavorful, they have a orange, green and red one. It's a new business and I wish nothing but the best for their success. I contemplated whether or not to write a review and honestly I'm just going to be truthful. I did NOT have the same experience as others. I came with my family here this week because I love supporting small businesses BUT the food we ordered was borderline embarrassing. I'm not sure if we came on a bad day but the portions were extremely tiny and if I was the server I would be hesitant on serving the food to customers. We frequently dine out but never have we gone to a place where the potions were so small. I can understand if it made up for flavor and taste but it did not. The food wasn't delicious and it wasn't terrible but having paid $70 which in my opinion was worth no more than $35.00 at most. There are several Mexican restaurants in Temecula and this is not something I'd come back. Best of luck. read more

The owner is awesome and so kind, she ensured everything was to our liking and allowed us to try their horchata loca which is horchata with their house coffee (cafe de olla)! The first time I ordered the Que Locura Appetizer- 3 mini sopes, flautas, and mini fried shrimp tacos ( via DoorDash, along with Parranderos (mini churros with mango, strawberries, ice cream drizzled with mango and strawberry syrup, powdered sugar, and whipped cream). It was so good had to go in person to have it fresh.. WOW, what a difference! The Cafe de Olla, I had 4 cups on our first visit. My friend ordered the Huarache choice of protein, on top of a huge oval tortilla with refried beans, lettuce, cactus salad, cheese, and sour cream..The salsas are flavorful, and the pico has a nice bite to it.DELICIOUS!! Don't skip dessert. I thought the churros were great, but the Crepas, OMG, we shared the La Chiflada, 2 crepes with Nutella, banana ice cream, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. I ordered the green Chilaquiles and my husband ordered the Chipotle Chilaquiles. We got a cute little bowl of soup, which was a nice appetizer before the main meal. The plate came with rice and beans. The portion size of the meal was just right. I ate the entire thing and I was full, but not uncomfortably so. The chips were crispy under the sauce- (the best part, because I hate soggy chips!) and the sides were yummy. The cafe olla was bold and smooth. The server was friendly, and I think maybe it was the owner that came out to see if we wanted a refill on our coffee. The decor was simple but tasteful, and the location is easy to find.
