Footsies is a kitschy, velvet painting adorned dark dive bar situated in a somewhat iffy neighborhood that makes it all the more fabulous. Everything from the bar to the tables to the furniture tends to look a little worse for the wear, giving it that authentic 'if you don't like it, too bad' authenticity that I like in a dive bar. This cozy dive bar sports an old school vibe with its leather booths and semi-nude paintings on the wall. I've driven by here numerous times but never stopped for a drink. My dear friend started spinning on Sunday, so it was the perfect excuse to finally check it out. Inside is dimly lit, like a good dive bar should be. There a juke box and dancefloor in the back with a small stage for live music and big screen for movies. There is also a back patio. Happy Hour is daily from 5 pm - 8 pm with $11 drink specials and $8 wells. The bartender was an absolute doll and she made me a Gin based specialty cocktail. I forgot the name, but it was Fire something. It was a bit Spicy with a nice kick. I loved it! The patrons at the bar were all friendly and very cool and made me realize that Footsies is a great neighborhood hangout. I'm not sure what it's like during the week but stop by on a Sunday for Outlaw Hour (5PM - 10 PM) and enjoy a cocktail and tunes by Goth Brooks. Showed up with a group of friends last night at around 1:25am, just prior to last call and closing. Felt immediately ucomfortable due to that fat hump of a security guard (African American guy). First of all we walk right in because no one's at the door, he then sees us as he's coming out of the shitter. Demands to see our IDs as if he's working National Security. Dude it was almost closing time and he was way too serious about his job. News flash dude you work at a $hithole bar, not at the bar at the Ritz-Carlton. As the night ended, for no reason at all he called one of my girl friends a dumbass as we were exiting through the door. He slammed the door shut like a true ogre. It's been about 5 years since my last visit. Dropped in tonight after considering some of my other old haunts. Footsies is as I remember it pre- Pandemic: dark, low key, reasonable prices, classic dark mood lighting inside and out back in the patio. Those eye catching oil paintings of semi to nude sirens still adorn the walls. No TVs so it's not a fame say place to congregate. No wifi jukebox but classic rock tunes bellow out. Old fashioned booth seats and stools at the bar.Back patio is enclosed and decorated in all black paint, black naugahyde bench seats, hanging plants. It's chill more tonight....light crowd. Me loves the old west style swinging door panels just past the front door upon entering. read more

Aug 16th whoever was man was working the closing shift was the rudest bartender I have EVER encountered. Serving himself shots before serving customers? Very professional. When someone asks about the menu and you get "I don't like ordering for people so chose something" ??? What kind of service is that. This was my first time here after being recommended to come here. I will be steering everyone I know FAR away. And when you try to order something and he says "try again" I'm honestly shocked. Something needs to be done about his behavior. They usually have an amazing taco stand just to the left of the bar out front that is awesome. Have lived near this place for years and finally went Saturday night. Music was good and crowd friendly enough for a big goofy white guy a few beers deep. Near the end of the night, I went to use the bathroom and accidentally went in the woman's. Again, a few beers deep, it was dark, and I've never been here so I just thought it had a few stalls and no urinal like some quirky smaller dive bathrooms, NBD. Finishing up my business, I got a hand on my shoulder 'WRONG BATHROOM BRO', realized it was security and I apologized profusely, honest mistake etc, and he immediately replied 'YOU NEED TO LEAVE'. Got my buddy, closed my tab, and left while he's staring daggers right behind me. He was cordial as far as 'bouncers ejecting you' goes, and did let me close my tab, but... Look, I get it--Guy in the girl's restroom, maybe something shady is going on, though there was nobody else in there. But it just seemed like a really quick escalation for an honest kinda drunken mistake. Reading through other reviews, this seems like not the first incident of staff being overzealous and/or dickheads. Not coming back, Footsie's, plenty of other good dives around. read more

I had a good time playing Shit Show Bingo. The guy next to me only played twice, with the last round played for the grand prize. He played the last two rounds. He won both times and was mildly booed by about three people. The prizes included a 'Have a nice day' birdie mug and an old bondage magazine. The crowd was fun and laid back and they had a decent drink selection. Parking was easy too! read more

This 2 star is not a full reflection of the venue itself. The bartenders were amazing. Great personalities through the roof. But one sed security that was suddenly having a power trip and immediately rushing the group that was accompanying the DJ for the night out of the bar making aggressive rude and uncalled statements and amidst swung his arm and hit one of the female patrons in the eye with no acknowledgment or apologies. Poor experience with the way the bar tenders treated me after having a dispute with the guy in the front. Not sure if it's a discrimination thing because I'm relatively light skin or what my hat said but it is not okay to treat people poorly because you do not agree with them. I've been to Footsies off and on for about 5 years. I hadn't stayed until closing in a long time. Tonight I was here celebrating that I had won the Halloween costume contest and had had a voucher for drinks. The drinks were ok. About 1:40am We were yelled at by bartenders and security to leave. I was waiting for someone to close my tab. I had to tell them that I'm waiting to pay, as a security guard was telling me to exit now. It was rude. Bartenders were on microphones shaming people leaving the bathrooms to hurry and stop doing drugs. I was super offended. I never write reviews about much, but this behavior is totally uncalled for. Stay away from this bar. Bartender blonde girl with bangs and Stephen who is in charge of booking bands are hostile towards customers. Run the bar like they're rockstars who can treat people subpar and don't align to whatever warped standard they have in their minds of bar patrons. Fine because you're busy. All that is except for the blonde haired bartender with bangs who was working Saturday night 8/26. SHE TAKES YOUR MONEY! This has been the second time she's done this to me. The first was when she charged me 10 $ for a Modelo. Only to see later on the beer menu it was 8$. I asked another customer and they only paid 8. Now fast forward to tonight. I hadn't been here in a while and wanted to catch some good music. WELL she serves me again- but not before serving 3-4 people before me when I was clearly sitting In Front of her waiting to be served AND making sure the other bartenders wouldn't serve me specifically so she could pull this bs behavior. Next she gives me the beer that asked for ( Miller) not an expensive drink by any means which is fine so I can give tip. It's 4$ and hand her a 5 dollar bill. As I Watch her she promptly walks away and doesn't return any change (1$). Now I am not concerned with giving any amount of tip where it is due and especially with such a minimal amount of money HOWEVER this woman displayed a total lack of professionalism and a completely blasé and PRIVILEGED attitude towards taking money. After she had initially walked away and continued serving others I brought it to her attention by asking "is the Miller, four dollars (as posted) or is it five dollars? ". She responds with, "it's 4". At this point, I am not upset nor I am bothered because I summed it up to a mistake, but what she says, and how she reacts next tells otherwise. "Oh well I gave you a five and I didn't get any change back", I tell her. In a sarcastic and snide tone she spats back "what you don't tip?". NEVER have I been to a bar where they hold this attitude. I proceed to explain yes I do but when people take the liberty to take what isn't theirs it bothers me and isn't professional. Immediately she changes her tone- " Oh well sorry, it's really busy right now and I just forgot to give it back to you." RIGHT. After you were able to keep tabs perfectly on everyone else in the bar but somehow forgot in an instant when you served me? Likely story. I could go on and the experiences I've heard from SEVERAL others about the bartender Stephen are a whole other story. Just so you know Footsies-your staff is getting a reputation in the surrounding neighborhoods for being crappy, non safe space (as i felt as a local) , caters only to certain crowds of people and being aggressive . Do better and train you staff to be professional instead of keeping weird vendettas and skimming money off the top of customers. Truly a disgrace. read more

It is really easy to miss from the main street but parking is found in the back. Cool local hang out with stiff drinks made by Melanie. Melanie is not only a smoking hot red head with a bubble butt but is attentive and emotionally intelligent. It is always refreshing to have a hot babe serve you a nice drink. I felt at home with the locals as I found them to be down to earth. Bathroom is small but they do have a smoking patio in the back. The decor is old but very cool. Big dark booths are offered to have a private intimate gathering. Pool Table back parking easy to get around (no stairs) credit accepts full bar cheap drinks I highly suggest to go in when Melanie is in because she will take care of you. My fav bar, it's decor is nice but not too nice if that makes sense. It's a dark dive and fits my rocker aesthetic. Whether it's souldies or proto punk, the music is always on point for me. I enjoy chatting with the staff when I can. Charming characters that they are, They are not above ignoring anyone who comes off obnoxious or douchey trying to order drinks. I love Footsies. I really do. It has been a really great and chill place to hang out at. They have great music and themed nights. The patio is a great spot to drink and have a smoke. On 3/21/24 I went to their disco night with a friend. It was moderately busier than expected. We are waiting at the bar and it seems like there is only one bartender (blonde girl). This other dark haired girl waltz in. She's completely wasted. Takes my order and I see her mingling with bar patrons at the end of the bar. 5 mins passes as we are still waiting there- she sees us and asks what do we want. I said I had ordered from her 5 mins ago (all I could was was it's literally 2 beers- not really hard to pour a beer!) I was never rude to her or said anything. I just repeated my order again and told her she already took our order. She seems upset by this and gets our drinks- blonde lady says to my friend and I "she's having a rough day". Dark haired bartender comes back and starts calling me an asshole for no reason. Other bartender has to step up and telling her to stop. I'm trying to close my tab and she keeps repeatedly asking me "open or closed? Asshole". This girl is so drunk she can't even ring it up in POS system. I shouldn't have taken the drinks. Honestly should've been on the house considering how wasted and mean she was. I felt really bad for the blond girl for having to hold down the whole bar while her co worker was completely trashed. Outside in the smoke patio, I end up talking to other patrons saying they had similar interactions with her that night and that she was being hostile. I've been coming to Footsies occasionally since '13. I've never really enjoyed interacting with any of the bartenders until tonight. Becca is incredible. The bartenders here are really shady. Our night was going well until it was time to close out our tab. We had a drank a few so we weren't on our A-game but when the bartender asks to hold your ID and bank card while your tab is open, they should ensure that you get it back at the end of the night. Our total came out to $49 dollars and we tipped $10 in cash. They took it upon themselves to charge us $59. Essentially stealing from us after we've already paid them what we owed and tipped on top of that. It's really unfortunate that this bar took it upon themselves to take more money than what was authorized. We will definitely be disputing the claim. read more

Went here for the first time last night, the music was great and so were the vibes BUT.... The bartender was horrible. From the minute my friends and I arrived we knew the bartender would be an asshole. At one point in the night I went to go get drinks. I stood there for 20 minutes waiting for him to take my order, he kept skipping me and taking every other persons order but mine. I'm not usually one to be rude to a bartender because I understand how hard they work , but it was just blatantly clear he was ignoring me.
