The cookie butter coffee was i enjoyed it as savored it on my ride back to NJ. It was so good! The service was great they were patient since it was my groups first time at for five coffee roasters. The aesthetic was beautiful if i lived in D.C. that would be my coffee shop to work because it was gorgeous and cozy to work.

    Matcha Latte

First time at this particular location, been to another location that I wasn't super impressed with. I stopped by because I was in the area and wanted a warm beverage while I took a few minutes to sit and relax. The inside of the shop was pretty big with nice seating. I ordered a "large" hot matcha latte with almond milk. The large was 16 oz and there was a surcharge of $0.95 for the almond milk! My drink cost just over $9, I found this expensive. Their matcha latte was kind of a let down. Matcha was not particularly good or bad, and the foam was disappointing. It was overall kind of basic for what I thought I paid. Sometimes the matcha lattes from other places will have a subtle sweetness from adding a touch of honey or something or even from the milk or alternative milk in this case. Not sure I would come here again.

    Breakfast burrito

Ordered breakfast burrito. Honestly one of the worst breakfast burritos I have ever experienced. It was very large and greasy, but also somehow bone dry. The "chorizo" tasted like salty ground beef. There was no actual salsa or hot sauce, just an "avocado salsa" that tasted like mayonnaise. Couldn't even finish half of it. Also it cost $18.95. Absolutely insane menu item. Coffee was ok though.

Atmosphere is absolutely perfect--nice bar top and or comfortable table settings to do work or catch up. Very open and aesthetically beautiful. If you're going for coffee drinks, I would pass as I found it to be very underwhelming and disappointing. Everything tasted very weak and bland. I ordered a matcha iced latte and felt super disappointed. My boyfriend got their coffee latte and felt the exact same. I ordered their spinach pastry and while the pastry itself had a very nice flaky crust, the filling itself didn't leave me craving for a second bite. My boyfriend ordered one of their s'mores cookie and thought it was ok. Overall, I wouldn't come back as the pastries, cookies, and coffee was a huge miss.

    Matcha latte with oat milk

This coffee shop was across the street from the embassy suites I stayed in. On check out day I decided to give them a try. HUGE mistake! I opted for a small matcha latte with oat milk. It took maybe 5 minutes for it to be prepared. I knew immediately that it was all wrong! It came out steaming hot! If you don't know anything about matcha please know that you don't utilize boiling hot water to prepare it! Boiling water burns matcha powder! The entire flavor profile is ruined when it is made with boiling water. The consistency of the drink was also all wrong. It was really thick and gritty. The drink cost me nearly $8. I had to first let it cool and then I attempted to drink it since I did pay for it. I can't speak to the quality of the coffee drinks or food, but for matcha- it's a no!!!!

Incredible. I got invited to breakfast with a friend and I'll be honest, I never heard of For Five coffee before. I'm glad I went! There's lots of seats, and even some at the counter area. People were working on their laptops while enjoying their food. The service was quick and we were offered some additional in-sight regarding the menu. Berry French Toast Coffee | Raspberry Tea | Ice Coffee Full pastry bar with lots to choose from Breakfast sandwich - would never have tried it and it was my favorite thing we ordered Seating area, plenty of room Raspberry tea 10/10 give me 5 more Cinnabon, delicious Steak and eggs - definitely 5 stars Parking is streetside with ParkMobile meters available and also a district parking meter machine. There's also a parking garage if you do not want to run the risk of having a $50-$100 ticket. I was able to park right up front with no issues. Loved the place and will definitely return!

VEGAN CHICKPEA SALAD SANDWICH VG, VT, DF, CN

I came here to do some work for a little bit, and was pleasantly surprised by the service and the food. Luckily, I went on a day when they weren't busy at all and also it was closer to closing time. I was looking for a vegan pastry and some coffee originally, but after asking the guy at the front, I found out they don't have any vegan pastries. He offered me their vegan chicken salad sandwich & I was surprised on the portion size. It's a pretty big sandwich, I ended up having to take half home. I'd give it a solid 6/10 , it needed to be seasoned more and the bread needed to be crunchier to offset the texture of the chicken salad. The employees were very kind and went above and beyond to make sure to cater to my dairy allergy which was very sweet. The overall ambiance of the cafe gives your typical cafe, the coffee is pretty good. Would definitely come here again.

Love this cafe to work from. Ample space, menu has plenty of options, and the drinks are great. They're also open later than the other neighboring coffee shops. Plenty of outlets as well!!

Fairly standard cafe. Wasn't wow-ed with the drink (chai with a shot of espresso) as it tasted a bit watered down, but my sandwich was good and croissant was crispy. There's plenty of space inside and outside to enjoy your treat. And the workers are speedy, so it doesn't take long to get your items!

Any city we're in I try to go to new coffee places and steer clear of the green siren. While in DC we went to @forfive daily for coffee and they have fantastic breakfast and lunch options as well. We were actually at the 901 K street location but that one didn't come up on Yelp for me to review so I'm leaving it on this one. There's lots of businesses around and we were there for the AWS conference at the convention center, so that one was really busy with other conference attendees and assuming there regulars who work in the area. They did a great job of handling how busy it was and we looked forward to our easy access to coffee and breakfast before a long day. My husband got the peach French toast with thick slices of brioche bread with soft and warm peach slices. The croissant was soft and flaky yet crispy and sweet. Filled with lots of scrambled eggs with cheese and thick cut maple bacon with a bit of spice. of course we had coffee every single day, and they have a buy 8 cup get 1 free program. I really enjoyed their iced latte and added caramel per my usual every time. Their coffee is strong, but taste great. Overall, I look forward to them having a location in Orlando one day!

I visited the Pembroke as part of…read morea work team dinner during Restaurant Week, and we were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food, super friendly service, and great ambiance. The space is gorgeous; I love all the plants, and the light brown, light blue, and white color combination for their furniture makes the space look classy and modern. The light brown leather couches are comfortable, and I love the way they circle around the tables to create a natural, cozy booth. Our food was just as beautiful as the space. The Restaurant Week menu comes with an appetizer, main, and dessert. Given how indecisive I can be (and how expansive the normal menu is), I was grateful to have my choices narrowed down a bit. I started off my meal with the octopus. The octopus was remarkably tender and not overly chewy, and had a delightful char that gave it a slightly smoky flavor. They double downed on the smokiness with their burnt chili oil, which, alongside the lemon and salsa verde, gave the dish a wonderfully balanced smoky, savory, and slightly acidic flavor. The crushed potatoes had a lovely crispy shell on the outside and served as a great base for the tender octopus. The main course was probably the easiest choice of the evening -- I'm absolutely obsessed with branzino, so the second I saw it on the Restaurant Week menu, I knew that was what I had to get. The fish is beautifully broiled, with a nice, crispy skin and super tender, flaky flesh. It's topped with a few pieces of roasted garlic and a wedge of lemon. The fresh lemon juice, as well as the lovely side salad, offered a great pop of freshness to bring the whole dish together. And finally, for our dessert, I chose the chocolate torta. This wonderful dessert is remarkably rich and decadent, with a strong dark chocolate flavor. It's topped with a lovely marsala date sauce and scoop of sheep's yogurt ice cream, but still doesn't feel overly sweet. The sheep's yogurt in the ice cream offers a bit of tanginess, and I loved the addition of the candied walnuts for a bit of crunch.

Truly a lower than average experience food wise. Arti and Jose were great servers! Very attentive…read moreand provided recommendations without hesitation. My main issue here is with a manager I presume she was. The steak and eggs I had ordered came with a hair on the side of the potatoes. She stopped by shortly after our food came to ask how things was and that is when I brought up the hair. I just asked for the potatoes to be remade. I understand hair happens but I was not thrilled when she insisted on remaking my entire dish. I gave up after the third insistence after I repeatedly said it was fine, I just want new potatoes. My original dish was delicious (I avoided the potatoes of course). Steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. However, my new dish was horrible. I had a feeling it was going to be awful as it's expected the new dish would be rushed whenever the original dish gets sent back. The steak was chewy and not medium cooked. Overall dish was very salty. If they added another seasoning I did not notice as the salt overwhelmed it. It also appears they doubled portioned everything but the steak. I would have much appreciated the original dish with the hair in it. I had expressed this to Arti and he was sympathetic. He was unknown to the issue I had with my dish. At that point I didn't really want anything more from here. Just the check and to leave. After that whole incident, I would have assumed my order would have been discounted or taken off the bill. That was not the case. She also vanished from our sight since taking my food back. My mom ended up not enjoying her meal either. She had the French omelette and thought the mustard was a rather overpowering touch to it. My mom was also surprised my meal was still on the bill. She was going to complain but I withheld as it truly is not that deep especially since the manager didn't care to come back to check if the new dish was satisfactory or not. I was given a warning not to go here by my friends and boy did I wish I listened. I wouldn't come back on my own accord but to eaches own. This restaurant will most likely stay here forever given its amazing ambiance and ease of location.
