We recently tried Ford's garage for our monthly Texas Rovers meetup. They were able to accomodate a large group and separate checks which makes accounting easy for our members. Ford's garage is quite unique. You'll see all of the look and feel of a car repair shop, including terry cloths used as napkins and even a coolant hose clamp used as a napkin holder. When you walk into the restroom you'll notice even more things like a fuel filler as the faucet and a wheel hub used as a basin. All round it's car themed so it's quite fun for those enthusiasts like us. I ordered the brisket burger, medium with an upgrade to onion rings (extra charge). I looked at the Yelp photos of the full order and highly recommend that you do the same. It took a while for them to fry this (probably the kitchen backed up) and our waitress apologized for the wait. It was well worth the wait though. The brisket came out moist as requested and the burger was juicy. I asked for extra red onions for a truly customized burger. Thursday night was busy for them and it remains a popular option for the locals. A keeper in my book and close to the tollway too! read more

What a fantastic experience at Ford's Garage in Plano! We came out on a Sunday to catch their monthly car show (every first Sunday of the month) and it truly made for a perfect day. Classic cars, great crowd, and such a fun atmosphere right in the parking lot--it really set the tone! After the car show, we headed inside for brunch, and the whole experience was top-notch. The food was excellent--definitely recommend their brunch menu on weekends. The brisket burger and loaded tots or chicken and waffles" was a highlight, and everything came out fresh and perfectly cooked. The service was equally impressive: super friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in. Brought the fam here for a dinner out. It's a nice large location, plenty of parking and tons of seating inside. It was a weeknight so we got seated pretty quickly. Still, they were relatively busy. Its got a nice decor and vibe inside. Low level lights so pics aren't all that. But it's a fun mood and the obvious car theming. They are actually authorized by ford to use the name, which is interesting. The food was generally great. My wife got the chipotle cbicken sandwich, kids got blackened chicken mac and cheese and burnt ends patty melt, i got brisket burger. The mac and cheese was probably the weakest of the bunch. We also had a jalapeno dip which I don't see on the menu online anymore. Sad! Keylime pie was the dessert of choice it was delicious and dine right. Last nite, service was fine but we didnt have a great vibe with our server. Lots of akward pauses when ordering which was kinda weird and i wouldn't hold it against them. Great food. We keep going back because the food is way above average. Their Fries and Patty Melt are the best. Service is always good. My only complaint is they apparently have a policy of seating people on top of each other. We normally go mid afternoon when it is not busy yet the host or hostess seats everyone in a very small compact area. It is a very large restaurant and there may be 50 tables open, but you will be seated next to another table, and when others arrive they will be seated next to you. So go for the food, but don't expect to have a private conversation. read more

Key lime pie was perfectly tart. Presentation of funnel fries was cute. Chocolate syrup seemed similar to Hershey's syrup. After dinner our server bought the kids to honk the horn on the car which was thoughtful. Service was a bit hit or miss where he would speak to one end of the table but couldn't hear on the other so for example when asking if boxes were needed we need to request later as we didn't hear that he asked. We had dinner here this evening with our friends and their family. We waited over 20 minutes for our drinks from the bar. When we wanted a second round, we had to flag our waitress down it was 6:02pm and she told us happy hour was over and wouldn't honor the $6 price. Our total bill was over $215 and this leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. Our server was Carolina, she was friendly, but not very quick to respond to our needs. I didn't even get a refill on my water and had to go to the bar to ask for a to go drink for my wife. Wanted to revisit Ford's Garage and use my $10 card that I'd received from our Awesome Elite Event a month or so ago. Leo didn't recognize me but I knew who he was and that's really all that mattered to me. I tried the (10) count wings should've requested ALL FLATS next time I will. My first batch of wings weren't throughly cooked (pinker than I'd expected). I expressed this to Leo and immediately no questions asked he put in another batch for me. I asked that they be EXTRA CRISPY this time, and they were. 10/10 my drink that Leo suggested an Old Fashion was so darn good I had to order a second. I'll definitely return again. read more

Overall, fords garage was a great lunch spot for an amazing sandwich. The waitress joy was fantastic and super kind. We had a 2 month yr old and got a spot in quiet area. In ordered take out for myself and a friend through Fords website, rather than yelp/doordash/uber because those services mark up the cost, even when picking up for yourself. We got an an American Standard burger, patty melt, fries and onion rings. Everything was fresh and hot as we beat the order coming out. What really impressed me was the staff. The curbside pickup counter is opposite the kitchen so staff pass through the area to get stuff for the restaurant patrons. Every single staff member that passed made eye contact and asked if I had been helped. They were all moving with purpose, but friendly and each paused to ask. Kudos to the hiring team and the staff overall. And yes, the food was good. Not my first time to Fords but it was my first time for their takeout and I wouldn't hesitate to enjoy either in the future. Why not a five star rating? One, I am pretty stingy with those as they really should be reserved for exceptional experiences. I feel the same for standing ovations; people just hand them out for everything that doesn't suck. Being from up north we had never heard of this, but know Ford, the restaurant looked great with the old Ford cars, and there was a Ford Mustang car show this day. We had to stop. We loved this restaurant...a large better sports bar with the bar in the middle and dining areas around it with lots of windows. The decor is Ford and garage awesome. We loved the atmosphere, service and food. The beer selection is the best. Belgium's Hoegaarden and U.K.'s Samuel Smith's stout are super craft beers.
