This place is so darn unique and cool from the moment you walk in. My burger was cooked perfectly and the fries passed the crispy test every time. They should place these restaurants where they can have Ford car shows here, but in Broward, everyone drives a Honda, Infinity, Toyota, Kia, Hyundai thing if they're not driving a luxury car like a Lexus, BMW. Stopped in after ordering online. Parking is a bit away but they did have 15 minute parking to try to avoid the pileup in front of the restaurant. Walked into the pickup area which I liked was separated from the main entrance. Was greeted immediately. Nice outfits for the employees. Kinda cute lol. Very friendly and a few managers came in passing and also greeted me. I did like how the one manager was laughing with the employees and telling funny jokes. First, we were patrons of the Wellington location for years and loved it all. Food was ok. Nothing special & it was tainted by their current billing practices. Walked in the doir and hostess tells my wife "we add 20% to the bill so our employees all make decent wages, dont feel obligated to add any more." SERIOUSLY?!?! If I'd heard that we'd have walked out inmediately. Many things were sadly lacking in this visit: 1) food quality maybe 6/10. 2) hijacked for 20% off the top. Pay your own damn employees, I'll tip for good service. (The Wellington location typically got 25-35% for being too notch.) 3) some kind of entertainment fee added to the bill? WTF was that stupidity? It was only like 74 cents but still its the principal. 4) no ambition to please their customers means service was pedestrian. No drinks refilled, took way too long to get our bill. Wont be back, will tell all our clients how disappointed & insulted we were. It as word oc mouth you' ve earned. read more

We went to Ford's Garage in Plantation, just recently opened. I think it was day 10. We were a party of 6, arrived about 5 30 and were seated promptly.. We ordered drinks, which the server takes your order and than a runner brings to your table. Same with food. We had appetizers burgers salads. No one had any complaints. My only concern is they are trialing what they call "A Team Concept" which automatically, regardless of the size of the party adds 20% Service Fee. They explained this BEFORE we sat down and it is not considered a tip. Our bill was close to $200 Plus $40 Service fee. Than a tip. I just felt when the wait staff know they are being pre tipped , as they share in the 20%, not sure what the incentive is for them to excel. Will I go back. Absolutely no complaints with anything, burgers very good and many to choose from. But not sure I like the 20% Service Fee. read more

Their model of including a 20% service charge is not new, unique or beneficial to the customer. Tip is always paid based on the service provided. I went to Fords in Orlando and had a good experience. Have since been to locations in Wellington and Fort Myers. I have always been pleased with the food and service from this chain. The Plantation location had a struggle to open, but they finally did it. This is a large restaurant when the outdoor seating is considered. Yes, there are garage doors on one wall and a couple were open today. The breezes reached us at our seats at the bar. Nice blend of outside air and AC. At the bar we watched the people and some college football while studying the menu and having adult beverages. The food and service were good, as has been the case before. My only concern was the price point. This casual/sports bar estaurant segment is crowded with many choices. I paid roughly double for the meal at Fords compared to a few other options. I dont mind paying, but Fords was simply not twice as tasty. Fords is nice, but it is at the pricey end of the casual dining/sports bar end of the spectrum. read more

The ambience of an old Ford garage was awesome in design in the entire establishment, quite nice , but when I ask the server about the history of the restaurant, she told me she had no clue. My wife , and I preceded to google it to find out, a great story I think everyone in the restaurant should know. After that, we proceeded to order two cheeseburgers, medium rare, and two iced teas, my cheeseburger came back well done, and the tomato was half green with the core stuck in the middle, being a chef by myself, that is unacceptable, after asking for a refill of iced tea I got a glass back with no ice in it, complaining did no good as the server never showed up for another 10 to 15 minutes and they tack on it 20% gratuity charged no matter how you feel; that being said, I don't think I'll be back, and I only live five minutes down the road that's pretty sad read more

I am not quite sure why this place is so highly rated. We sat at the bar and it took over 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the bartender. After being told about the mandatory 20% service charge, we almost walked out. However, we made the trip and thought we may as well give it a try. My date and I split an American Standard hamburger. It's pretty basic. It just comes with American cheese, romaine, a slice of tomato, onions and pickles on a dense dark bun. With fries included, it was $15.50 and was the cheapest burger on the menu. And boy did it disappoint. The biggest hang up is the mandatory "commission" fee. Seriously, when you're charging some of the highest prices for bar food, where is the money going? The service is average at best. Then on top of the service charge, we are expected to tip. The basic burger went from $15.50 to $23.80 after accounting for taxes, service fee, and tip. That is absurd. I am in support of the commission model if the prices are competitive with the competition and tip is not expected. But tip is expected. And that's the problem. read more

First time guest. Bartender Grant, slow and inattentive. Witnessed other guests also having problems, no garnish in drink, martini severed not in a martini glass. Came in 30 minutes before happy hour ended and only received one bad drink because I was never asked if I'd like another, but kept walking away before we finished our sentences.
