Nice to go to a dedicated gluten free spot. This is a cute place. We tried the devils food cake (way too sweet) and the monkey bread (terrific). I had coffee and hubby had hot chocolate. The coffee was great but that was an expensive cup of coffee. I took home a chocolate chip walnut cookie for later and again found it a little sweet and kind of greasy. The staff was very nice. I thought it was pretty pricey but I might return if I was in the neighborhood for the monkey bread and a cup of coffee. read more

A coworker told me about this place I read everything on their website I was so happy & excited to know that a cafe/bakery that has GF & vegan options is in my area!!!! I couldn't wait for us to go together I stopped by on my way home I got they devil chocolate cupcake It looked so beautiful and I couldn't wait to eat it. I was a little surprised that I paid over $10 but was like it will probably be so delicious I'm very sad to say it was quite the opposite. I don't know what ingredient it is but my opinion my taste buds so disappointing I found this $10 cupcake to be one of the worst desserts I've ever tasted. I will however give them another chance. The cassava chocolate chip cookies also amazing. Moister than the average gluten free and tasty! The chips are dairy free but soooo melty! Lastly I got some crouton. pretty pricy for what you're getting, the drinks are amazing however and well worth the occasional treat, the wait time hasn't been long for me usually around 5 min, lots of seating both indoors and outdoors to enjoy your drink. I recommend the matcha latte if you're looking for a hot drink or a lavender lemonade if you want something cold. I also recommend getting the choconut cookie warmed up to pair with your drink for a nice crunchy edge and warm chewy interior. I personally didn't enjoy the carrots cake as when I got it warmed up it turned mushy and personally was t a fan of the taste. read more

The next day I met the owner Sway at the farmers market at Santana Row and was honestly surprised and delighted to taste their baked goods. As a gluten free person for over year tens it's so hard to find stuff that tastes like the real stuff and I honestly feel these are the BEST GF baked goods I have ever had !!! There are a growing number of gluten free options which has been a great thing for celiac sufferers and even those with minor intolerances. All over the peninsula and in grocery stores there are good options, and now there is one more and they also do not include dairy. This is a big one for me. Gluten free is good for my wife, but not necessary for me. I have issues with dairy. Doesn't seem like a problem until you look and see that so many flour blends use dry milk inside. Also sugar and refined starches. Even the cakes and muffins are whole grain goodness, and not grocery store "made with whole grain" pseudo lies, like actually good stuff. Right now that are pretty much only at farmers markets. They have some stuff at Zannattos in the rose garden, but only a couple breads and muffins. At the markets they also have cakes and cookies and treats and stuff.... you get the picture. Tl;dr: good food, low sugar, hand made quality, that happens to be made without gluten, dairy, soy, or corn! read more

What a cool find! As someone who needs dairy/gluten free, this shop (and their farmers market stands!) are a great find. I bought a loaf of the Brioche and a cup of Tummy tea. Both are delicious. The brioche crust has just the right amount of crunch without being dry and the flavor is divine. Nice and fluffy! I know some people may complain about prices, but allergen friendly food is expensive no matter where you ship, and whenever I can afford to support a local small business, I will!! We found Forest & Flour on Yelp and went back and forth if we wanted to try something gluten free and dairy free; we haven't had great experience with gluten free products. We entered the establishment and we were greeted by Sway, she was incredibly sweet and had phenomenal customer service. The inside of the restaurant is adorable, and all of the cups and dishes are unique. We ordered the congee and chicken sandwich, both were amazing! One of us got a drip coffee and the other an iced coffee, both great! We got a carrot muffin and chocolate chip pecan cookie to go. YO! I equally loved the chocolate walnut cookie with crispy edges and chewy inside! We also split a lavender lemon slice and it was very good and flavorful. I liked the monkey bread; & lastly I bought a bag of molasses cookies and that's the one thing I'm not crazy about, but I just like cookies with crisp edges - not a soft cookie lover, oh well! For our first time Sway gave us some Alice's of her lavender bread and 2 chocolate chip cookies. I wasn't a fan of the lavender bread but my gluten free husband enjoyed it as well as the cookies. He also had a cold tea with hints of floral and finer. He liked that. We took home a carrot muffin. It was dense just for info. All in all this place is decorated so well. We ordered a cake from Forest & Flour for our wedding in Fall of 2022. We were a little last minute, but they were really accommodating. We ended up getting a 6 inch cake that was pumpkin spice flavored with vegan cream cheese frosting. And it was gluten free, of course! Also the Muffins though soft in texture but average in taste. On top of this see an unexplained charge in the name of Staff wellness allocation program - Cafe of about 20%. Neither there was a mention during billing nor a board saying we charge this amount as this what we want to do. Was able to discover the charges when I saw the receipt later. Best gluten free muffins and cookies in the entire Bay Area. I first came across their stand at the Fort Mason farmers market. Their blueberry muffins and carrot muffins are always super moist. It's not overly sweet but still super delicious and you don't feel sugared out afterwards. I've also tried their almond orange cookies! They are so yummy to snack on throughout the day. The Brioche, Granola, Keolicious Bread, Cassava Chocolate Chip cookies, Carrot muffins, Lemon Streusel Muffin, Mini Devil Chocolate Cakes and Mini Monkey Party were all delicious and exceeded my expectations.
