I was feeling less ravenous after being on a boat earlier in the day, so I ordered a bowl of saimin soup. This soup was also pretty reasonably priced for $8. For the unfamiliar: this is a Hawaiian ramen-ish soup, with a savory broth, char siu and fish cakes. It was cozy and perfect for my queasy tummy. The service was outstanding each time we dined in, and we made sure to hit up the little gift stand on our way out which is stocked with some local jams in tropical flavors. Who doesn't love a little jar of guava jam? Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely returning!
