He was also sure to take care of all the details, including removing existing speakers and lights that would no longer fit and properly patching up holes. On a side note, one of the great things about this place is that they accept lightbulbs for recycling. I have been coming here for quite a while doing this (the big retailers don't do that anymore), and recently switched out all of my fluorescent bulbs for LED ones in the garage and kitchen. The fraying started a while ago and I was procrastinating about replacement, but now it was to a point that it was going to snap at any time, and it was time to replace. I was debating on replacing the lamp rather than spend the money to repair and I decided to repair it. I dropped it off on a Saturday afternoon and woman said it would be ready by Monday. I wasn't expecting it to be replaced so quickly. The cost of the replacement socket--the pull chain couldn't be replaced on its own--was $9.50, reasonable. The labor though was $28, and the total cost was almost $40. While I could have just purchased a new bed lamp for less than that, considering the alternative was having an otherwise good lamp go to landfill. I thought it was worth it price and now my lamp will last many more years. If you have lamp repairs, I would definitely bring it to Carlos Lighting for repair and support this local Mom and Pop business.

We decided to end up working with them on - panel upgrade 100a to 200a. - re wire of entire home and remove the knob and tube wiring - recess lighting of different fixtures sizes, 2inch, 4inch and 6 inch. - new outlets with usb and type c ports. - dimmers and some modern style scones in the bedrooms. We worked close with the techs, Ivan , Alan. They always showed up on time and the communication with there office was simple over text. I definitely appreciate there office manager for handling there invoicing, usually it's hard to keep track of payments made and such but there invoice was really straight forward and I was able to make a payment with a click of a button on there invoice with my credit card ! there pricing was really competitive we got about 3-4 estimates but we chose fortress based of there reviews and transparent pricing. My husband and I both were looking for a contractor to remodel our home. We found fortress renovation on yelp. We also did some research on their website and on Thumbtack they had really nice reviews and really good testimonies from customers so we decided to give them our project we gave them a full house, renovation with redoing the walls doing flooring, and also the kitchen and bathroom. We were more than happy with their work. I think they are very professional. Their leader is very easy to work with not gonna lie. I know there was some hiccups along the way, but they were very responsive and very responsible when it came to those issues which I think is appropriate and normal but overall we had a very good experience with them. David was not only very professional in his work, but was also very warm, down -to-earth, and non-intimidating to speak with. He addressed all my concerns. He even tried assisting me with correcting possible culprits over the phone. This was unheard of for me. I have never interfaced with any professional before who tried to help you over the phone for free! But David did. And I am truly thankful for that kindness. Electrical testing was now required to locate, repair and restore functionality. While here, he quickly got to work examining all the outlets and testing the panel. I left him to his work. The problem was discovered quickly, and he showed me why the power was not coming on. Fortunately, he had available with him the replacement part I needed which saved a trip to pick up the part. Worked like a charm! After 4 days of no power in the garage, I am truly a very happy camper! David verified that power was restored to an outdoor outlet that had stopped working as a result of the outage, as well as my alarm system. He offered great advice for things to be on the lookout for that could overload the system and trigger another outage. I will share my amazing experience with anyone I discover who need electrical work done. His services are also very reasonably priced. One of my friends has already declared JR Electric as their "Go To" for any future electrical needs. David and crew at JR Electric will always be mine.

The good news we did not have to pay him thousands to replace fuse box. It was PG&E problem. It cost me $290 for his time. His be price is high for 30 min of work. But, it is ok to get the answers right away. Before we got to the problems, he did tell me it is better to change the whole box instead of changing a fuse. Since the box was old.
