A fine stop if you're in need of caffeine. Judging by quality of the espresso, this place could use a big level-up. It is not too difficult to source great coffee beans and train the staff to pull a great shot with perfectly steamed milk. (By the way, it is pronounced "espresso", not "expresso") The double shot in my cup reeked of burnt coffee-pot-warmer-plate with notes of dirt and stale popcorn. No dial whatsoever. I had the seasonal coffee flight. It was so much fun to have all the different flavors and it was delicious! I also shared a toast flight and tried the avocado toast, egg, salad, toast, and the strawberry pistachio toast. They were all absolutely delicious. Whoever chose their avocados did a great job because they were the most delicious avocados I've had in a long time. The pistachio strawberry Dubai was scrumptious!!! Such a unique flavor. Service at the counter very good friendly and patient. Ambience with typical coffee shop, was clean and spacious. My disappointment with this place is the food. I got egg bites three different type and they were just terrible. Half hard boiled eggs dry with not much toppings, They didn't have any fresh eggs so we couldn't get egg sandwiches and my daughter and her husband really didn't want anything else so they left hungry. They need to rework the egg bites. Got a coffee flight and it was OK. It's too bad. I was looking forward to a great experience and was let down. Will not be back. read more

Most stupid server I have ever seen. The boss should hire someone else who knows basic service skills, or if she's the boss then no wonder this store have 7 pages one star review and this low score on yelp. I went to pick up 3 drinks, but the server didn't have them ready and made me put them in the bag myself. After I let her know that I would need a bag, she just handed me one and didn't help me put the coffee in--no intention to help at all while I was doing her job. One thing that I love about social media is that it takes me to places like this. Founders has been on my list ever since I spotted their coffee flights! Though I didn't order that, I was definitely motivated to come back to get it. That being said, there are summer series drinks were delicious! I opted in for the mango matcha Palmer and WHEW. they even added mango ice cubes! How original is that?! as early as I went, the staff was so kind. I'm not normally in the morning person, but they made me feel like I was. :) As for the food, it was good! The inside of my breakfast croissant was a bit cold, but I didn't mind it. The cheesy hashbrowns were a delight and filled me up. I can't wait to visit again to try their bowls and bagels! read more

I was so excited for a new spot to open up other than a Starbucks close to where I live. And founders by far has the best dirty chai lattes I have ever had and I would come regularly to this establishment. But within the past two months it's like a roll of the dice whether it's going to taste really good or taste NOT GOOD, not sure what's going on with management or the new hires seems like they don't care (attitude and short) and it's very unfortunate because this is one of my favorite places to go. Will still give them a shot but getting frustrated and may have to take my business elsewhere soon if this continues. Updated review 3/26/2024 So I started to give founders a chance even without taking up the owner or manager on the Free dirty try and they've been a little bit more consistent with the taste which has been keeping me to come back, but I just left there and my drink my large drink Was $9.16. I had never had it be that expensive they charged me a dollar for oat milk which in my opinion is absolutely outrageous and they started extra shots for dirty chai which is it is what it is at that point, but I don't think I'll ever be going back if they're going to continue to raise their prices and not be consistent. I enjoyed this spot. Parking was a bit tight. Inside, there was a lot of seating available. Most are hard chairs, and most did not have backs. I brought a seating cushion (thankfully) to save my behind. The menu was clear and had allergens listed. I ordered the "avocado delight" bagel. It was great & fresh! Very disappointing! It is a large, Starbucks-like place with a similar idiom. I ordered my usual latte and it was not good. It was way too hot and we had to let it sit for quite sometime before even being able to drink it. Once we tried it, it was way too thin and bitter. They only serve their coffee in paper cups if that matters to you. Again, think Starbucks. Overall, a sad experience and a definite miss. Plenty of other places in the area so look elsewhere. read more

After my doctor's appointment, I decided I wanted a coffee and luckily for me, this OG location of Founders Coffee was down the street. I made my way down, but decided to go through the drive-thru instead of going inside. I love that they have a drive-thru! One of my favorite things about this location is the spectacular view of the mountains. Sadly, they are starting to build tall buildings across the street :( welp. It was nice while it lasted I guess. No one was in the drive-thru and I looked over the menu. It's a pretty extensive menu which is nice. I decided to order the lavender white mocha drink. I got it iced because and iced drink sounded nice. I also ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese. The barista taking my order was so nice and asked if I wanted a different type of milk in my drink. I always forget to ask so I really appreciated it! I love oat milk because dairy doesn't always agree with me haha. So I swapped out for oat milk. I drove around and it didn't take very long for them to get me my drink and food. And I was on my way! When i got home, I noticed my bagel and cream cheese came with a lot of cream cheese. They hooked it up!!! I love a lot of cream cheese on my bagel so I really appreciated that. Love this location and need to remember every time I go to my doctor's office down the street! The coffee and food here are amazing. I live in North Las Vegas and was excited to give this place a shot as I heard good things. Everything tasted great and they have a coffee flight available as well. The place is pretty large with outside seating available so we didn't have an issue finding a place to sit. I wasn't a fan of the layout as the line can back up where you are standing next to people sitting down enjoying their food/drinks so that can be weird but not a major issue at all. read more

This place is super cute! Definitely an Instagram where the place. Somehow I managed to spend over $90 for brunch and a souvenir for three. Be careful if you get excited with the menu the amount easily increases! We ordered The banana matcha latte, the mango Palmer, regular avocado toast, burrata avocado toast, a breakfast sandwich. The banana Matcha latte was to die for!!! I went back to ask the associate how the banana cold cream was made, it's made with whip cream and banana syrup. The Matcha was sweet not your authentic Matcha but I loved it! I was extremely disappointed in the Burrata avocado toast, I paid an extra $3 for the small amount of buratta. I know inflation and prices are going up but it is entirely not worth it. I wish I would have just gotten two regular avocado toast. The burrata was the reason I could not give 5 stars. We got the lox bagel and the flight. It was good. The mango Palmer wasn't as sweet as expected. read more

Ordered the coffee flight. The price on the board and the price they charged are different. Asked about it, they didn't care. Anyways, the coffee flight included 3 hot ones and 1 cold. The one with the sugar on the rim was really sweet but tasted the best out of all. The other 3 tasted very similar and were on the milder side. Not bitter which is a plus. Love, love, LOVE their coffee! However, I gave them 3 stars because every time we go and order, the staff always seems clueless with how their point system works that we just gave up on bothering. With as long as they've been open, no one can answer our question with how it works and how many points we have. Additionally, today we ordered 1 large hot coffee, 1 large iced coffee, and a breakfast bagel. When we got up to the window, they repeated our order as one medium, iced coffee and a breakfast sandwich. This is pretty common that we have to correct them every time, annoying. On top of that, when we repeated our order to them, they still gave us the incorrect order, two large iced coffees and a breakfast bagel. Again, we didn't even bother to fix the situation. I love the ambiance of this coffee shop that veers away from the strip. The shop looks very unassuming when you arrive. However, once inside, the place features hanging plants and a huge chaulk mural that details the history of coffee. It was an interesting read :). It's such a cute place to hang out and chill for a while. When I travel, I'm always open to trying spots that I would frequent back in SD, and this was one of them! Thanks to the recommendation from some friends, I tried this place out. The pull for me was the coffee flights! Drool worthy, and the flight features their seasonal coffee drinks. For this visit, we were able to try: Funfetti Latte, Pistachio Mocha, Cinnamon Bun Latte, and Banana Matcha. All were served hot with the exception of the banana matcha. My absolute fave was the pistachio mocha with the banana matcha at a close second. For food, I ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich with avocado. I loved the freshness of the bread, and it was enough to curb my appetite. Service was a little slow when waiting for the flights (I think it was because a lot of ppl were ordering it). However, when I ordered a pistachio mocha to go, I received the drink pretty quickly. Great place to relax and have coffee. I would definitely return again. read more

Came here for the first time after a DR's visit and absolutely loved it. Two words, coffee flight. I am a lover of flights, samplers, tasters.. whatever you want to call them & I knew I had to try Founders. I came for a mid day weekend date with a friend. The inside is modern, simple & comfortable. There's plenty of seating to spread out. The flight included 4 different drinks - a Mexican hot chocolate, lavender white mocha, butter brew & toasted marshmallow. I liked that you could try miniature versions of their signature drinks, but was a bit disappointed that it was pre set without the ability to change out any. The only one I didn't care for much was the lavender. I liked the flavor, but the topping of lavender was just a bit too much for me. Overall I thought this was a super cute place & would come back again if I was in the area. I do hope they change out the flights every now & then.
