    Corn pancakes

I think the biggest thing I noticed at this restaurant is the staff. They were very pleasant. Professional. I tired their breakfast pancakes made with corn flour. Filling, tasty, different. The restaurant is inside the hotel - casino. Very convenient.

Nice lunch at Four Elements Cafe at Twin Arrows Casino. The buffet is only open on certain evening hours. Party of 8 for a lunch and it was a good choice. Most of had the grilled lamb sandwich. Had mine served on Navajo fry bread with green chile and onion. Choice of sides and I had the sweet potato fries. Food and service were good. Server was helped by a robot which was a first for me. Just getting use to electronic order boards at restaurants. Hello Technology!

Arrived around 10. Breakfast was being served. Place was clean and quiet. We were taken to a table right away. Drinks were brought out fast. Orders were taken. The food arrived fairly fast and looked great. Tasted great as well.

This restaurant was slammed the evening we showed up. I tried calling room service but phones lines would not take the call. So we headed down and I asked for a menu but the lady stated all menus were being used but she said she did have a copy of the sports bar menu. So we took a picture of the menu there and at Zenith steakhouse. Went back up stairs and tried calling again but no answer after we decided what we wanted. Made another trip downstairs to see if we could place our order and same hostess stated she was not taking any to go orders. In the end we finally made our way down to four elements cafe around 8pm and same hostess asked if we had responded to kiosk?? Said we hadn't and waited for her to seat us. We ended up ordering a Navajo green chili burger, 2 Arrow burgers and I was undecided and asked the waiter for his suggestion. He recommended the roast beef sandwich. I did ask for a side salad rather than fries. Order placed and food arrived. I was disappointed in the sandwich I got which was the roast beef . It was so dry . I ended up giving more than half of that sandwich to my husband. Overall service was great from our waiter and the manager who served our food. Hostess was just rude in my opinion. She needs to smile more and be cheerful. Especially if you're at the front of the house! I did finally see her allowing people to place to go orders... maybe things had settled down.

Oh my! The hotel is amazing!! Everything is beautiful, blends so well & reflects the Navajo culture. It was great to see all Native staff, all so welcoming and friendly. Same in the restaurant. Great food, upscale utensils, immaculately clean. Large portions and very good prices. Will be a definite stop any time we pass through or a stop for area exploring.

I dont understand why do people wait for 20-30 minutes just to be seated, Wherein theres a lot of vacant seats on the restaurant... Just not acceptable. The Hostess chick was really rude, i ask why do people wherein too many seats available. She replied well if you wanna eat then wait. Obviously this is the only open breakfast seat down in the Hotel? Then the servers here are lazy and not friendly... cant even give you a damn warm welcome or smile at least. I dont understand that you are in a Hospitality Business and you seems that you have No Respect on your Job! Like chit chatting to each other and customers are waiting for water etc! The food will takes forever to be served Its not fancy or delish just to fill up your stomach My advice is if you wanna ruin your day and get upset start eating here My advice its worth the Drive to Flagstaff AZ to eat rather than here Worst! 5/31/2018

I visited around 8am had Aurelia as my server. She never introduced herself to me, she just stood there and said something to drink. Had the corn beef hash which was ok. I ordered over hard eggs and they came out over easy. They also had a special where you got a free strawberry pancake with the purchase of a breakfast entree. I stated to my server that I wanted that special. I never received that pancake. This was a really poor experience with the lack of attention and blah food. I'll stick to McDonald's next time.

We went out to this place - they advertise it is like 15 miles from Flagstaff. However, what I didn't realize is that the city limit for flagstaff was like 15 miles east of where I was staying. So it was a bit far. Looked like a pretty cool casino. This restaurant is one of a few eating choices in the casino. I had the Navajo Taco - it was good, but not the best I have ever had. Everyone else in the large group we were with seemed to enjoy the meal and the prices were reasonable. Probably the best thing they did was to handle our large group. We had 15 to 18 people and the service was good and food came out in a reasonable time. Can't tell you how many times we have gone to a place with large group and experienced bad delays. Not this place - they get an A+ for service!

I've eaten here countless times and I'm never disappointed. They serve breakfast and lunch and have a variety of dishes, including vegetarian options. Their waffles are incredible as are their burritos, skillets, tostadas, and gorditas. Breakfast always comes with a side of whole beans (flavored with ham hock) which are super fresh. I can truly say there's nothing bad on this menu! The staff is always super welcoming and friendly and the ambiance is refreshing. It's a smaller space and it does get pretty busy, so be aware of that. The best part is that the cafe is family owned, with roots in Playa del Carmen, MX. I HIGHLY recommend Madrez if you're looking for a delicious and authentic Mexican brunch spot. Support local!

My partner and I ordered a chorizo burrito, a skillet poblano, and a plain waffle. While everything was just okay, it honestly felt like something we could have made better at home. I especially wouldn't recommend the waffles -- they were very airy, almost like toast, and at $14 they just didn't feel worth it. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it's not somewhere I'd return to.

Front of house was warm, attentive, and completely on it, the kind of hospitality that sets the tone right away. Food came out quickly without feeling rushed, and every plate delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The steak was cooked perfectly (chef's kiss), and the chimichurri had that bright balance. The prosciutto in the Savory Croissant Waffle was a star. Also, shoutout to a place that can genuinely do both coffee and food well. That's rarer than it should be. We opted for a hot vanilla oatmilk latte and a Matcha Americano. We got both of these to go. The vanilla latte didn't have any sweetener or vanilla in it. I'm not sure if they maybe put a little bit but nothing really pulled through. The coffee itself was extremely strong, which is not a bad thing considering we were on our truck back home so it's a good thing to stay awake. The ceremonial Matcha was very light in the Americano. I'm not sure what their measurement is, but it could have used another half a teaspoon, at least. The patio is dog friendly and there was a pup out there already at 8:30 AM on a Saturday. Inside, they have beautiful hanging plants and ample room if you're coming here to study or to catch up with some friends.

We had a standard queen room both times and it's spacious, bathroom has two sinks one in and one out so yconvenient for two people sharing. The pool is a roundish shape but large enough to swim some laps when there aren't a lot of children there. There are four 2 level inter connected buildings and #4 being the furthest away from the lobby - you can park your car (parking is free) close to any building but it's a bit of a walk on foot. Location is a bit out of town not walking distance to downtown Flagstaff. Rating it a 3 star due to service. On a day when they don't seem to be full they still wouldn't accommodate a late check out by just an hour (at noon instead of 11 am) which I didn't think would have made any difference to them but would have made a huge one for us. Then there is the breakfast. Nice dining room and all, but service was slow and the food came lukewarm, this at a time when it was early and hardly anyone in the dining room. And in addition to that, I had tea and it came in a tea pot with one weak tea bag, and as I like my tea strong I asked for another tea bag in the same pot and was told I'd be charged a second pot of tea ($5). This kind of stinginess just doesn't befit the seeming stature of such a hotel. And finally, the teacup they gave me had a long crack in it - I discovered it when i saw the saucer filing up with tea and didn't think I spilled any in it. The crack was old and stained, not a new one, so it was shocking that no staff had noticed it for this long and cared enough to not continue using it. Let's just say I'd never encountered broken cups like this in lesser priced motels. For this trip to Flagstaff I also had a two-night stay in another hotel downtown and other than the swimming pool, it was much better value and more comfortable with more helpful staff - and no broken tea cups!

We were intrigued enough that we visited MartAnne's the very next night for dinner. That was on a Tuesday at around 6PM and it wasn't too busy the entire time we were there. House Horchata ($5.99) - This drink comes in a giant 32 oz Ball jar with tons of ice. Per the server it's made with milk and condensed milk, no rice milk at all. It's rich, thick, creamy, sweet, filled with earthy notes of vanilla and cinnamon. There's so much spice included that at some points, there's almost a gritty feeling while drinking. It's perfect for a hot day after hiking. Buckwheat Pancake ala carte ($4.99) - Buckwheat pancakes are something we've never seen before on a diner menu in the past. It seems to be pretty common around Arizona, so we had to give it a try before leaving Flagstaff. This one's pretty big, almost plate sized. It's really moist, fluffy, bouncy, and light with a slight sweetness and a certain earthy flavor. It's moist enough that it sticks to the ceramic plate it's served on. The pancake is somewhat crumbly due to the low gluten content of buckwheat, although I believe they use a mix of buckwheat and wheat flour to give some more stability. It's bluish grey in color with black specks of ground buckwheat throughout. It's dusted with powdered sugar, but it's not a ton, making the pancake not really sweet at all. The pancake comes with a small cup of their cinnamon honey butter. It's not mixed that well, leaving it mostly unhomogenized with streaks of honey and spice through the softened salted butter. Tamale ala carte ($4.99) - MartAnne's offers two types of tamales - the first a red chile beef, and the second a green corn and cheese. We went with the latter, which is a homemade tamale with a somewhat looser, coarsely ground masa shell surrounding an interior of yellow sweet corn kernels, a bouncy and somewhat spongy block of Oaxaca cheese, and a fragrant green chile. There's a slight sweetness throughout and the tamale overall is easy to eat. Chilaquiles, Xmas, Fratelli ($17.99) - This is a monster sized plate of a mishmash of ingredients. There are three things as essentially a base layer. Firstly some Mexican rice that's tender, moist, and fluffy, totally unlike the more common dry and and compact version. My guess is that they skip the initial frying step that helps keeps the starch together. It's quite fragrant and has gives a bit of heat. On top of the rice is a layer of hash browns. The potatoes are tender on the interior, griddled on one side to give a delightful crunch, although there's some acridity that develops. Another third of the plate is covered with chili beans - tender pinto beans that are well salted and seasoned. Then there's the eggs stuffed in between layers of corn tortilla chips, smothered with sauce. I went with the Christmas combination of red and green sauce, followed up by the Fratelli-style pork green chile. The green sauce is fragrant and vegetal, while the red sauce is more smoky. The pork, which is cut into chunks, on top is a bit tough and dry but there's more than enough sauce to make up for that slight demerit. Finally, there's a small mound of I believe jalapeno peppers, cut into small neon-green colored pieces. Some pieces are spicy, some are mild, all have a vegetal pepper taste. I found the food at MartAnne's to be pretty good. It definitely hits the spot after hiking all around the area for most of the day. Bathrooms - Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women. Note: MartAnne's charges a 3.5% credit card fee. This is labeled on the menu.

There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is especially impressive. They have what looked like a private dining space inside a barn-style shed, several gas fire pits, and even a slightly elevated platform that looked perfect for live music. Ordering is simple -- you place both food and drink orders at the counter, then they bring everything out to your table. Even though the place was busy, the food came out fast and piping hot. The food itself was outstanding. I ordered the chicken and biscuits and my wife got the chilaquiles. Both portions were huge. The chicken and biscuits were exactly what I was hoping for: smothered in rich country gravy with a perfectly fried flattened chicken breast that was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The buttermilk biscuit was golden, flaky, buttery, and had the perfect balance of soft interior and crisp edges. I honestly got full halfway through my plate and never even got a chance to try the wife's chilaquiles. The drip coffee was excellent too -- simple, hot, and exactly what good breakfast coffee should be. There's street parking along with a small parking lot across the street. Easily one of the best breakfast spots we've been to.

We had placed our orders inside and were sent away with a number on a stand for our table. The gal that waited on us was very patient and uber-friendly taking our orders - luckily there was no one behind us and she took the time to answer all of our questions. I feel like we'd only been seated just a hot second when the food arrived! Fabulous service - quick and friendly and always with a smile. Hubby and I each got a cup of fresh brewed coffee that did not disappoint! Not too weak, not too strong... brewed to perfection! My husband ordered the chicken and biscuit and I the chilaquiles Christmas style. Lord have mercy both of these dishes were the bomb! Not only plenty of food but super tasty - I had my chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and they also came with about 1/2 a freshly sliced avocado. Nice, tangy flavor and sprinkled with just the right amount of cotija cheese! Shared with the table and still had leftovers (and I'm not mad about it). Husband's dish was perfection - the perfect biscuit combo - fluffy, chewy and crunchy in all the right places, and the gravy not overly seasoned or salty. Chicken was a breaded/fried (possibly baked) and cooked/seasoned just right. Inner meat was tender and moist and outside of course was crunchy - batter was well seasoned and breast didn't seem greasy at all. I worked in a mom-and-pop coffee shop decades ago - everything was homemade and fresh and the coffee 2 die 4. This establishment brought me back to those times in regard to coffee/food quality and hospitality! Will 100p be returning when next we're in town!
