Took my family and mom here for Christmas Eve and absolutely loved the food. The service was great, we put our names on the wait list ahead of time and got our table right when we showed up. Landed and ate our first meal here. We had high expectations from all the great reviews but were underwhelmed with the food quality. The service was great and drinks tasty. Regarding the food- boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were half the size than I would normally expect. The pancakes were tasty but you could get similar quality everywhere. Late brunch so tried this new place! The food was delicious! I had the Smoked Brisket Hash and it was probably the most delicious hash I've had in Denver! The atmosphere was casual and the coffee was also good. Bummer that they didn't have an espresso machine but the food and great service made up for it! Four Friends Kitchen is one of my top choices for breakfast/brunch in Denver. I always recommend or take my guests visiting to enjoy this establishment. Their staff is extremely friendly and always have great recommendations. Christine and Jon. There's a hip, old school, southern influenced vibe. This spot gets busy and you can add yourself to the waitlist via Yelp or the No Wait app. There's complimentary coffee and Etch a Sketch while you wait. You can sit at the bar, dining room or on a nice day on their outside patio. Oh yes, I can not forget to add they offer crayons and coloring pages to doodle/color. Everything I have tried has been delicious. They have delicious homemade sausage. I normally order a simple breakfast. I always order biegnets, either the biscuits and gravy served with two eggs your way, the kitchen sink, cheesy grits and one of their Benedicts. I love the refreshing cocktails, though it's seasonal, my favorite is the Bourbon Apple Cider. YUM! This was my first experience at Four Friends the overall experience was good the wait time wasn't long if you check in on yelp and the waiter was great. Only problem I encountered was the main course (Chicken) was dry and lacked seasoning so I couldn't eat it. The sides were great Mac and cheese alongside those greens OMG amazing. I recommend that you not order the chicken. The waiter had noticed I didn't eat the chicken and gave us a percentage off because other people were complaining about it as well. read more

Didn't live up to the hype for me. Supposedly named best breakfast spot in Denver 2019 by Westward but that's not the case in my opinion. Food was alright, service was alright. Nothing spectacular. Could be 5 stars if the service was top notch and the food was a little more consistent. Seemed like a very fun vibe but they were trying to hard to make it work. Attention to detail and not letting your customers wait around is important. I got the veggie benidict and a Bloody Mary. I wasn't too impressed with either. Had the veggie hash, sausage, pancakes and coffee. Veggie hash was good, the sweet potatoes were soft but not overly so. Mushrooms, peppers and spinach were cooked well. Cornbread was unimpressive. Sausage was sweet and spicy and delicious. Pancakes were hot and crispy, overall nothing special. Coffee was served with fresh half and half, standard sugar sweeteners available. I'm updating my review due to my last two experiences at Four Friends. This restaurant was one of our favorites for breakfast, but the quality of service has really fallen off. On our previous visit, my boyfriend's order was not cooked to order. However, the manager spoke with us and comp'd the dish as a result. Due to that response, we wanted to give it another shot. Today, we ordered peach sangria and were served the drinks w/o all ingredients do it tasted extremely bitter and harsh. We told our server, who took them back to the bar. When she returned, several minutes later, she informed us that they had run out of the necessary ingredients for that drink and asked if we wanted something else. We each ordered another drink, but were not served our drinks until at least fifteen minutes later. We were nearly finished with our meals at that point. I had also ordered a side of fruit, which we had to ask for several times before I was served. Given a second bad experience in a row, we will not be returning to Four Friends Kitchen. The food is mostly very good, but it's not worth dealing with the sub-par service that apparently has become the norm. read more

At 11:12 I got a text saying I had 5 mins to get there if we want our table, so now I'm rushing to check in. I get there at 11:25a and they gave away our table because my whole group wasn't there. We are obsessed with breakfast out. You name it, we've been there. And Denver has a high-quality competitive breakfast scene. If you feel like we do, this place should be on your shortlist. There's a slight southern twist to the food, but a high and creative one. This ain't no Waffle House. Think sage gravy over fresh biscuits. Creole shrimp over grits. Plus other regional fare ... a dish they label huevos rancheros but is more akin to chilaquiles. There's a hash with beef brisket. I bet we've been two dozen times and there's nothing on their breakfast list we haven't tried, and nothing we haven't loved. They also can do their pancakes gluten free. The main complaint you'll see is that they have no good waiting area and this place is a zoo on Sat and Sun mornings if you don't go before 9. But they are on the Nowait app, which works marvelously. The dining room gets louder than I'd prefer, but that's the part of it being busy. We live with that for the quality of the food and service. read more

Great place for breakfast! We found this in a search and decided to take the 25 minute drive to try it out. Did not disappoint! There was an hour wait at 9am. Due to covid we understood. The staff was very polite and quick. We ordered the berry topped French toast, crab Benedict, beignets, with side of maple sausage and maple bacon. Absolutely delicious! Not too sweet at all. Great flavors. Our server was great! Definitely a MUST try!! We will be back to try more! read more

This place pleasantly surprised me. Great spot for brunch definitely. Visiting from Houston with a few friends, we all got different meals & indulged on the mimosas. Not 1 person left disappointed. Speaking from personal experience I'd recommend the four friends grits. Perfectly cooked chicken over creamy grits, collard greens and poached eggs. Made me feel home for a slight minute on vacation. Southern fare breakfast. Reminds me of when I used to live in Atlanta and Savannah Georgia. So this was actually a funny start to our day. We had a party of five. One party drove up from Ledville to this location and the rest of us went to the S. University location. Obviously a major communication mishap. Since our friend drove an hour and a half from Ledville we left S Univ. and drove to the Roslyn location. Our poor friend waited for an hour and 15 mins. for us to get there. It was during rush hour. The waitress was nice to let him hold a table for 5 until we got there. We are from a small town (Durango) and don't have multiple location issues. . I enjoyed the CRAB & FRIED GREEN TOMATO BENEDICT fried green tomatoes, fresh lump crab, poached eggs, sherry aioli and housemade hollandaise and a side of BBQ potatoes. One party had chicken fried waffles with a smoked chili syrup. We had two gluten free sisters. One enjoyed the gf Huevos Rancheros and the other gf pancakes. It was all tasty. They also had a few options for grits. Shrimp/grits, sausage grits, grits with candied pecans snd fruit, grits with kale, sweet potato and mushroom. It all looked so good! I was really excited to try this place out but unfortunately the food, service, and whole experience fell short. We sat upstairs on the roof top and ordered a mimosa and a beer. The keg was being changed on the beer that my hubby requested which happens but after 15-20 minutes she served us the wrong beer. I get it it happens but then it continued to go down hill from there. It took about 45 minutes to get our lunch. I ordered the crab and fried green tomato eggs Benedict which was pretty good, a little salty but overall good. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and it was 2 chicken tenders on what looked like waffles. Overall it was not a good experience and it did not live up to what I hoped it would be. read more

I love this place for brunch. Pros: delicious food, typical brunch fare favorites with a twist... love the huevos rancheros (they use crispy tacos!) and the French toast with berry compote. Service is always good and the food comes fast once you've ordered. Rooftop patio :) Cons: Typically very long wait times on the weekends and smaller portion sizes than some may prefer.
