Shoutout to the staff for the service, team was friendly and accommodating of our requests, very professional and homely at the same time. If you are vegetarian/vegan, there is a separate menu just for you, don't forget to ask for it! In addition the dishes are customizable, really appreciated that since it opened up a number of options for us. We had the Huevos Rancheros (5/5) and the mushroom sweet Potato dish (4/5) - both without meat and eggs! Overall we enjoyed the experience, adding a star for flexibility and fantastic staff! I dined here in a party of six for brunch last weekend. The menu is extensive and includes so many delectable items, it was so difficult to choose! We ordered two orders of the beignets, 5 for $7.50, which were very expensive, but delicious nonetheless. However, the entrees were fairly priced. Everyone in my group really enjoyed their food and service was good as well. There are a lot of fried chicken items as there is a southern theme. The portion sizes were good and very filling. So traveling sometimes is challenging to get a decent restaurant. Locals usually can figure out if a place is mediocre or worse. Four Friends Kitchen had decent reviews, but a lot of other places have their mom's, cousins, and drinking buddies leave reviews, so their not always reliable. Four Friends was definitely a great experience. Maria was our waitress, and she was all over the place, but it seemed like we were everyone's customer here. It was a 'well oiled machine' to say the least. We don't usually like helicopter service where we feel like we're being watched. This place wasn't at all like that, but the level of service was the same. Always having someone rush by at the important times. Food was awesome. It seemed a bit expensive, but not really out of the ordinary. This would all normally rank as a 6 star, but there were a couple things that prevented it: 1. all I can leave on yelp is 5 stars. 2. I cherish clean bathrooms, and theirs was about a C+. 3. I noticed on the bill a 4% kitchen appreciation charge. While I LOVE THIS as a former kitchen worker, I also felt that it shouldn't have been a fine print item. The food was scrumptious, so I guess it was 100% warranted. Four friends kitchen has accomplished what most breakfast places lack - flavor in breakfast. Not just any flavor. They bring out unique dish combinations that make your mouth water. If you're on a diet - this place is not for you. If you only like bland tasteless breakfast - this place is not for you. If you only order eggs and potatoes - I guess you can come here because their potatoes are exceptional. To top it all off the service staff is exceptional. Our favorite waiter is Jeremy his energy and attitude is the cherry on top for our breakfast. If you're constantly going to the same breakfast joint and need a new place for your breakfast/brunch give this place a try! There do have long waits - but perhaps quit lying to yourself that you'll get a quicker breakfast. Even with a full house you'll get your breakfast on the table faster and more delicious than any surrounding breakfast joint. This popular spot was definitely a nice place to brunch. Although it was crowded on a Sunday, my friends and I used the waitlist app through Yelp and our table was ready as soon as we arrived! (Pro tip) *The French toast was amazing and we ended up ordering more.* The four friends grits were definitely interesting to say the least. I'm a southern gal so I'll eat grits with anything but the greens in it threw me off a bit. Were they good? Eh. They were okay. But the chicken and the actual grits themselves definitely made up for the lacking greens. It was all in all a good experience and the servers were friendly and service entirely was speedy. This place has some similar vibes to snooze, but also an extremely unique menu and nothing like snooze when it comes to food. I got a veggie omelet but will be trying their Veggie Benedict with their homemade biscuits. The omelet was veggie filled and delicious with the perfect amount of goat cheese. I know the wait for Four Friends a long one, no matter what to time you go. But, I have to tell you it is worth the wait. If you go onto the site before hand join the wait list online it will give you an anticipated seat time and that is usually pretty accurate. I recommend their unique mimosa flavors, like the lavender mimosa, just a hint of lavender it feels more like a cocktail than a mimosa and is so refreshing and light and never too sweet. For apps you absolutely cannot miss the beignets paired with a berry compote and cream cheese icing. They are perfectly fried, not too oily, and light as air. We also had the bacon grits bites which were surprisingly good for someone who doesn't particularly enjoy grits. I finished off with a breakfast burrito which no one person should eat solo, but I did. And every single bite of that burrito was delicious. I do wish there was a little more cream based fat to balance out the heavy rich flavors of the chorizo and green chili. But I would absolutely order and eat it again as is. One note on Four Friends Kitchen is that because it is so packed all the time you have to come with patience. This isn't the in of place that will be at your table side right away when you need a new drink or a new order. Be patient and be rewarded. read more

All I have to say is WOW!! This our first brunch stop in Denver (visiting from Atlanta) and it was truly out of this world. I ordered the mushroom & sweet potato hash with a gluten-free/vegan pancake and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp & grits. The winner though was definitely the PANCAKES!! Honestly, we may visit another two times before we leave because they were fluffy, perfect, and everything one could expect of a pancake. I really appreciate how extensive the menu is, whether you are vegan, gluten-free, or a carnivore, there's something to accommodate everyone. That's such a big deal for me, so thank you!!! Last but certainly not least, Jeremy was outstanding. Please give that man a raise lol. This place claims to have a "plant based menu" on both their website and their menu. They took this away and we are left with two options, grits or a hash. Both of these items you need to remove either butter or egg from. Don't draw groups of people with vegans to your restaurant by falsely advertising that you have a menu for us. I don't want to have to remove half the items from a dish to make it vegan and pay the full price. I want actually options, intentionally made vegan to show you actually want to cater to multiple demographics. Just wow! I am a hollandaise snob and so I was not sure. Started by getting a sample and talking to the host who assured me it was home made, heard that before. Got the sample, spot on! More spice then I use but it was amazing! Order the crab and green tomato Benedict ... o my! I might drive back from Texas for this! Also had the cheese grits, also perfection. I called to place the order- staff were super friendly and had the order ready in 10 minutes. The crab cakes were delicious and had a nice kick to them, and the fried green tomatoes on the bottom had a nice crunch. The eggs were cooked nicely and the side of potatoes were a great addition to the meal (they tasted really good with the hollandaise). We loved this local breakfast joint! Located in a modern apartment/business area, this breakfast restaurant was cozy, welcoming and oh, so delicious! My husband and I shared a build your own omelette and upgraded the toast to a waffle and were stuffed! The crispy potatoes were so well seasoned and everything was prepared fresh off to the kitchen on the right hand side. The restaurant is not huge, so I wouldn't try to bring a party of thirty without asking ahead but when we arrived around 9:30am on a Saturday we were seated right away! My friend ordered the vegetable hash. She thought it was delicious and I tried it and agreed! It had a sweet picante pepper sauce that was great. This was my second time going here and I probably won't waste the time and go back. A friend and I came for a nice brunch just the two of us and we're having a great conversation and enjoying our food. We got an appetizer, two entrees, and a beverage each. We ate and paid for our food and were finishing the our conversation and about two minutes later we were about to leave when the host comes by and says, "Um ladies, we have quite the wait can you please finish up so we can get some other's seated." While I would've normally let this go, it was very off putting because he didn't say that to anyone else but us! We weren't there for over 90 minutes (general brunch rule). Two black women, paying and tipping customers truthful just enjoying ourselves. We were just talking about how much we loved the food and this restaurant and he rushed us off like we didn't matter. All I know is, I think I'll keep my options open for other brunch places. Our waiter was great, painted nails and all! That's why I'm giving a two star rather than the zero that man deserved. Great little local brunch place. Friendly staff, good service, and appeared to be a favorite for local residents. I went with the fried chicken, eggs Benedict, on biscuits. The biscuits were thin and I had a hard time telling them from the chicken. That's how dense they were. So, that also tells you about the thin, not crispy, coated chicken. 'Is it biscuit or chicken' challenge in every bite was a different experience. The sausage gravy was exceptional as were the country diced and properly crisp cooked potatoes.
