After being told at Snooze the wait was 55 minutes (which...idc how good people say it is, no brunch is worth 55 min wait), we found Four friends kitchen thank to fellow Yelpers and sooo happy we did. We used their waitlist app via Yelp while still in the snooze parking lot. It worked out perfect since it took us about 10 minutes to drive there and park. When we arrived our table was ready! We even cut in front of 3 other parties who just walked in. The restaurant was busy for a Monday around 11:30am. The menu had tons of options from eggs to different southern comfort meals. I settled for the brisket with eggs that our waitress recommended. We also ordered the powdered donut type things ($6; can't remember their exact name). They came with 4 and raspberry and buttermilk dipping sauces...AMAZING! My brisket and eggs was delicious. The sauce that was on top was a tad too spicy so beware! The cornbread was good but I didn't care for the biscuit as it was dry, crumbly and cold. The service was good despite (from what it looked like) being understaffed. The bathroom was clean as well. Overall AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS brunch! One of our favorite brunches during our trip to Denver. Skip Snooze and come here! You won't regret it! read more

Sooo.... this was kinda tough to give a three star review, so I wanted to break it down cause there is for sure some 5 star aspects of the four friends kitchen I came here specifically for the fried chicken. I ordered the trio of Mac and cheese, collard greens, and fried chicken... the fried chicken is what I had the biggest issue with. I was served two pieces of incredibly thin, dry pieces of chicken. It wouldn't surprise me if the fried chicken they served in the past was better and thicker(I saw some better photos) but using the same recipe on incredibly thin chicken dried it out beyond my enjoyment. I kid you not, I went and snagged a couple chicken legs at churches afterwards to scratch my fried chicken itch. The chairs are not that comfortable either. Service was absolutely terrible. Was told the wait was 20-30 minutes then people who came in after us got seated in less than 10 minutes. When I asked how much longer the wait was they told us they had already called us when we were sitting right in front of the host, and they did not acknowledge us at all. We were waiting for 30 minutes and hadnt been told anything or received a text. This was very upsetting and we will not be returning. read more

This is one of my go to places for out of town guests or when I'm searching for things near DEN. Granted, it's not super close to the airport but it's close enough. I've been here on at least 3 occasions- 1 for work and 2 casual. It's a great place for a quick work meeting during the week if you go before the lunch crowd at 11. Either way, DOWNLOAD Waitlist!! Very solid breakfast place. I thought they had outdoor dining, but we were told that that was only opened during the weekends. Thankfully, they're right next to a park that has picnic tables to eat at. Boyfriend and I ordered a "Eat Your Veggies" omelette and a Chicken Fried Chicken Benedict. Very rich dishes (honestly a wee bit heavy for my preference), with great seasoning and flavor. I opted for egg whites on my omelette and it came out really fluffy and light. The vegetables were well cooked and the BBQ house potatoes very scrumptious! Just wished there was patio dining since I feel like these dishes would've been nicer served on plates rather than sitting in paper boxes. An absolute hidden gem. The food is incredible. The service and staff are amazing, timely, and on top of things. The overall atmosphere is very homey and relaxed, yet clean and modern. It felt like I was surrounded by friends even though I knew exactly one person at the restaurant. And the FOOD... seriously life changing. Source: Just trust me. This restaurant was okay. I honestly had to go back and think about what food I ate here, so that should tell you already. We waiting for over 50 minutes after telling the hostess we wanted to sit outside, she still tried to seat us indoors, so we had to wait an additional 5 minutes to get an outdoor seat. I had the brisket hash and I wasn't too impressed, the brisket was dry and lacked in flavor. My husband ordered a pancake and French toast, he sent the French toast back because it came with strawberries (he wanted plain.) It took the kitchen 20 minutes to get his French toast, by then, we were already done and about to leave, our waitress had an attitude when we declined the late French toast and said with a dry tone "I guess I'll tell the kitchen we have an extra." Do I recommend this place, not really, unless you live in the nice area it's located in. If you're a tourist, don't go, there are much better places to check out. read more

Better than most All Brunches.... We happened upon this place via referral from friends. It certainly did not disappoint! Power packed menu of great flavors embellishing southern fare. So many choices. I had grits and chicken. If cooking grits overnight does this - I will change my way. My partner had the fried green tomato crab eggs benedict- oh my gawd- I loved this and so did he. It takes a lot to impress him. I don't see it often but today was one of those times. It was daunting to see the amount of people waiting when we arrived. Although it could've been worst without the Waitlist feature on Yelp. What? You didn't about this feature? Well what are you doing? Download now. Pronto! Without this feature our wait would've been about 45-1 HR. Simply put your name down. It will tell you what time you need to check in with the host. It will even tell you the wait time. Once you get to the location and after checking in with the host; you will receive a confirmation on your cell that you will be texted once a table of your choice comes up. For us? It barely took 10 minutes! Bright, airy and busy! Breakfast here is amazing! I had the Shrimp Omelette with added sausage and pepper. Meaning you pay a little bit more to get that wiener on the plate to party wth the shrimp. The potatoes. Lord! I'm adoring those potatoes and would return for just that! Awesome portion and fast service once things start rolling. Also in hindsight it would've been best for me to order the Hash. This particular dish is something I'd devour completely. Simply because their hash looks like pork bellys and so tender and tasty. FF would've garnered a five star review from me. The service tho. It was slow and she forgot to bring the Beignets. We surmised that our server is also the bartender. Two hats. Not easy. Especially when she had the bar area to content too. Overall I highly recommend this for breakfast or brunch. All the people who came after me, and in large groups, were seated, and I waited for an hour and a half. When I began to be indignant, I was seated at the very first vacant table. Long wait time. Food was half cold. Boyfriend got the chicken and waffles- chicken was great, waffles were undercooked and cold. I got bluegrass Benedict. I'll just get this off of my chest; this place was a full Five star contender. Unfortunately, the service, although friendly and polite, was lacking in attentiveness. I noticed that our waitress was also bar tending, inevitably leading to prolong wait for the basic service that takes place during a meal. Granted, the food was prompt and piping hot, rectifying the situation. Overall the staff was above par, notwithstanding the understaffed crew. Hopefully a one time deal, I'm still coming back to try their grits. The ambiance is bright and inviting, with chic mix of furniture and decor. This place was slammed with a wait time of almost two hours at 10am on Sunday. Thankfully, a Waitlist feature on Yelp allows you to place your name in the waitlist from your couch. We arrived and waited 5 minutes for our table, as others received the sad news about the wait time. The food was the star today, I had the Smoked Brisket Hash & Eggs. The hash was one of the best I've had in Denver, the hickory smoked brisket was tender surrounded by awesomeness of house potatoes, grilled peppers, onions and chillies topped with to order over medium eggs. Yelp reviews brought my friends and I to this restaurant. All I can say is amazing! We each tried a different dish- for appetizers we tried the hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, and beignets. All were so yummy- my favorite were the fried green tomatoes. For my main entree I tried the "four friends chicken" - it was cheesy grits with fried chicken- it was out of this world! I'm not a fan of eggs so they gave me butter pecan pancakes instead- yum! Service was great too. Love this place. The place is quite small, so expect long waits. read more

While waiting for our friends to land so we could head up to Breck we decided to stop for brunch. My friend found Four Friends, read the reviews on Yelp and decided we had to try it. I totally forgot to take photos so read on below, friends! My friend snagged the fried green tomatoes (FGT) and I got the deviled eggs (DE) for our starters. The FGTs were great but the deviled eggs were not that great. The cream/ranch sauce that came with both the FGT and DE did not go so well the DE. For our main courses, my friend got an omelette which she enjoyed. I got the Crab & FGT Eggs Benedict which was actually really great. I love an Egg's Benedict so this twist on this with the fried green tomatoes, fresh lump crab, poached eggs, sherry aioli and housemade hollandaise served with BBQ house potatoes was pretty damn good and the saving grace from the mediocre DE. Service: The waitstaff was good and pretty attentive. We were never rushed and were treated well. Environment/Vibe: The spot was bright and airy and most definitely had a brunch vibe to it. That said, people were in various states of casual dress ranging from athleisure (like lululemon) to jeans/button ups. Accessibility: They seem pretty on top of this area. To get into the restaurant there are a few steps or a ramp. There is a second floor with elevator access although we were seated on the first floor. While there is some street parking, the majority of the parking is behind the restaurant. My Final Take: Four Friends is most definitely a pretty good spot to snag some brunch or breakfast. The prices are not terrible for what you get. If I'm in the Denver area again I wouldn't mind stopping by but it's not a "must-have" for me. read more

After being turned off to brunch by a few Oklahoman restaurants, Four Friends Kitchen (FFK) was just what I needed to reignite that brunchy flame. I liked everything about the restaurant. The decor? Modern and sleek. The coffee? Fresh and smooth. The food? Ooooh man, the food... I got the Crab and Fried Green Tomato Benedict. Instead of English muffins, FFK puts a poached egg and crab cake on top of a fried green tomato, and I have to say, it's a winner. Not only is it fried to perfection, but it works so well with the crab cake (that's real crab, not that imitation stuff, mind you) and poached egg. Also, that poached egg was amazing. The yolk was perfectly runny and didn't have any sludgy whites. I think what sealed the deal for me was that the dish cost $15. We have similar dishes in Oklahoma, but they cost upwards of $20. For real crab and a delicious egg, $15 was a steal! FFK was an easy 5 stars for me. I'm certain that when we come back, we'll hit them up again. read more

It seems difficult to find a breakfast place that opens on the weekend before 8am, so I was stoked when I saw Four Friends Kitchen opens at 6:30 everyday. I arrived around 6:50 on a Saturday and was surprised there were more people inside than I would have expected. Maybe there are others like me always looking for a good breakfast place early on a Saturday. I took my place at a table, perused the menu, and settled on the smoked brisket hash. The portion was huge and it was really good. I wasn't sure what to expect with the description being BBQ house potatoes, but everything melded so well together. The brisket was very tasty and the dish was well accompanied by the over medium eggs.
