The OWNER (Armando) told our server to CHARGE US $10 for an accidental broken plate!!! Our 4-yr-old was changing sitting positions and accidentally bumped his plate causing it to fly off the table and break. Our server, Tina, was there right away to help and clean it up. After she had brought the bill out, she came back and apologized, saying the owner told her they were going to charge us $10 for the broken plate. We thought she was kidding. She was in tears telling us she knew it was an accident but he was making her do it. We have both been in the hospitality business for years, and this seemed absolutely absurd to us (broken plates/glasses are part of overhead costs!!!!), so we asked to speak with the owner. Our server came back out saying he refused to speak with us. NEVER have we EVER had this experience anywhere before. While we had amazing service from Tina, who was shaking when she handed us our revised bill, the food was average, and the owner, ARMANDO, made it a 100% probability we will NOT be returning. The posted hours don't seem to be right, Sundays at least they seem to be closed by 3 or 4. Just as well, this is a place for American breakfast. Friendly neighborhood family diner place with good pancakes, biscuits and gravy, that sort of thing. Service is consistent, I sometimes get called, "hon," which is what one expects at a diner. Well if you're a middle aged man that is. Stick to the usual diner fare and you'll enjoy yourself. read more

This is one of those places that I have drove past so many times like on Saturday and I thought why have I not had the breakfast here so on Sunday I would change that. The place opens at 7 am which is when I got there and there was already people in there at 7 on the dot so I had a good feeling. While I was there the place steadily started to fill up and the one server was trying to handle the whole room but I had no real service issues to complain about. The place is your typical Greek looking breakfast spot with booths and tables and a nice little bar on the right as you walk in. There is a big window showing the kitchen but all you can see is the ticket wheel that the cook takes to make your meal so it's useless. The menu has some nice looking breakfast specials but one thing caught my eye, my old buddy the gyros and eggs with my fav the sourdough toast. I asked if the gyros were real after getting bit by a Greek place on Hwy 100 that served me the store gyro kit kind with uniform slices, pre made crap and I was assured that they are real. The gyros and eggs hit the table and looked good with a mound of meat and the red onions which I really prefer with gyros. The gyro meat was tasty and not bad at all I thought so that was good. The eggs were perfect sunny side up with the nice runny yoke for the toast to mop up. The hash browns were real and al dente if I can apply that to potatoes so they were not frozen and had a nice mix of golden crispy ones. The sourdough toast was nicely toasted and held up to the breakfast. What they did a little differently is give nice slices of tomatoes and red onions with the breakfast gyros because to get onions with breakfast is rare and I don't think I have ever had tomatoes in breakfast gyros, I was tight because I looked at past pictures of the breakfast gyros and none have tomatoes in them so nice job. Overall this was a solid breakfast place on my visit and they can hang with the best of the gyro and egg places in my opinion so I would definitely get breakfast here again. I really can't complain on my visit except for which is just my pet peeve, the plastic water glass, I like a real glass for ice water but it never factors into any reviews anyway and just a note. read more

Ordered breakfast from them for take out this morning, my husband went to pick it up. He paid and then an employee came out of the kitchen and handed him food- he was the only person there waiting for take out. He gets home to an angry call from the restaurant saying that he took the wrong bag. He tried to explain that someone handed him the bag and the employee on the phone was belligerent and told him he could go back and get his food if he wanted it. He took the other order back and asked for our food. They said it was ready, went back to get it and instead someone else came back with his payment, with no explanation. read more

Haven't been back for a while so wanted to see how things are. We noticed that they built a nice patio. I wanted to compare their enchilada dinner to our new favorite in Dousman. I ordered ground beef corn tortilla and red sauce. It came with beans and rice, as expected, plus a small side of lettuce and tomatoes. Sour cream and salsa also on the side. Plenty of melted cheese and tasty red sauce were on it. I enjoyed it as much as any enchilada dinner that I've had. Did miss not having chips and salsa though. My wife had a chicken dinner with broasted potatoes . She said the chicken was delicious, well seasoned. She asked for a side of cole slaw and that was fresh. 2ND Time back to visit friends in Peewaukee. Had to visit The 4 Star Family Restaurant during my stay to try additional delights. Breakfast this morning was a gigantic order of Corn Beef Hash, potatoes, 2 lovely eggs and toast. Yum. Portions are HUGE. Waitress are all friendly and very efficient. They all take prompt care of you and the owner is a truly nice owner and employer. Good place for Peewaukee locals and guests. read more

Had a delicious (and cheap!) breakfast here yesterday. It was very empty, which seems to be a rare occurrence as when ever I drive by it appears crowded. The server was very nice and helpful. Just ate here for the first time & I'm sorry to say that I am quite disappointed. The bathrooms are clean. That's about all they have going for them. I ordered the 1/2 broasted chicken, and when I order half of a chicken I expect a breast, thigh, wing, and leg. What I got was EXTREMELY poor quality fried chicken, a saucer of canned corn, and two potato pancakes that were obviously from yesterday's fish fry (I'm here on Saturday). To top the poor quality food, my water was finished before the salad was brought & it wasn't filled until I asked it to be after I had "finished" my meal. Some of the staff seems nice. read more

We recently stopped in after I got off work one night. We decided to try this place because it was one of the only places open until 9 P.M. We have lived in the area for 25 years and seen many places come and go from this location. Since this one had been there longer than any other, and there always seemed to be a lot of cars in the lot, we gave it a try. The place was empty, maybe because of the late hour. We ordered our meals and were disappointed with what we got. The gravy on my turkey dinner was like the stuff you get out of a can. The stuffing was so wet and unappetizing, I took 1 or 2 bites before giving up on it. The mashed potatoes seemed like they were made from an instant mix. The only thing I ate was the turkey. I can't imagine anything that could persuade me to go back. There are many other better dining option in this area. read more

I have eaten here several times since they opened almost a year ago. The food and drinks are great, and the service has improved much, to the point that I would say the service is great now. The soups are all made from scratch, fresh daily. The portions are very generous and the food is high quality. I have had the friday fish fry, hamburgers, soups, and several of the hor de hourves. Drinks in the bar are the best and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun! The man in the bar makes it a fun place to return to because he remembers my name and my favorite drinks. What a disaster. First of all, our waitress had a pretty bad attitude and was very unpleasant to talk with. I ordered pancakes with strawberries and extra whipped cream, and where my family and I were sitting, we could see through the glass and into the kitchen. When our waitress filled up my first dish with whipped cream, she scraped off the extra with her finger and licked the whipped cream off of her finger, then proceeded to use the SAME finger to scrape the whipped cream off of the other dish. Nice greek style family diner. Very good breakfast. Have not tried dinner but my wife did have a gyro sandwich from here and said it was good. It fills a void that the Lake Country has of not having enough family style places to go eat. There have been 3 or 4 places in this spot over the past 10 years but this seems to be the best one yet. Went here for brunch and was pleasantly suprised. I would describe this as an upscaled Denny's. Nice decor and a little bar area as well. The food was delicious, I had the eggs benedict, however, it is not listed on their menu. I asked the waitress and she said they have it. The egg was done perfectly, and good sauce. The Canadian bacon was a little thick, but still had good flavor. The hashbrowns were done perfectly. My roommate got the biscuits and gravy and we split a Belgian waffle. The gravy sauce and biscuit were both very tasty! The waffle was a perfect sweet treat. The only thing that made this 4 stars is the service. We waited a long time for everything and had to constantly get the waitresses attention. She forgot my roommates milk and didn't bring out syrup with the waffle. [As someone else said, kinda an upscaled Denny's or Cracker Barrel (a little better tasting and a lot more on the plate).] Desserts were incredible.
