Still zero stars. The second Escape I leased from Fox is vastly inferior to the first. That remains true. I have only been proven wrong in one respect: The prior Escape, with the Titanium model, had a vastly superior key system, and I could turn on the engine from the key. I can't do that with the second Escape, and their failure to make that abundantly clear was reprehensible since they repeatedly emphasized that the second Escape was the same as the first in all material ways. But to turn on the engine via the key, I had to be sufficiently close to the car. I can turn on the second Escape's engine via my phone using an app, something I couldn't do with the prior Escape. This can be better for me since I can do this from work, from my desk, before I trudge off to the parking garage next door, which I like. Another negative is that when I leased the car, they said there were all sorts of service perks, like just showing up and having my tires inflated or my car washed. Well, today I told them that my tire light went on (low tire pressure), and before I head out of town with the family for the Thanksgiving holiday I'd like to come in and get the tires checked. They said: The "next available appointment" is after the holiday, on Friday morning. In other words, another Fox Ford lie, this time about complimentary services for customers. read more

I work in sales myself, so try to be an easy customer. Sent Fox Ford a list of exactly what I wanted to buy in a new car - model, features, color, etc. and set up an appointment at a time they chose. The salesperson - Victor - took me on a test drive of a similar car, and within 20 minutes I'm telling him I'm ready to buy as soon as he finds one in stock in the right color, features, etc. He comes back with a quote for the wrong-color, already-driven-5,000-mile demo car we just saw. "No thanks, let me give you that list again, and when you get one in stock, let me know and I'll come in to buy it. I'll be paying cash." As I gather up my things to leave, He scrambles around to try pitch me three more that are wrong color, wrong interior, wrong whatever, and I go. And wait. A week later I email to ask if he's located one at another dealer and I get three more cars emailed that don't match the list requirements. Finally, though, he calls to say he's found the exact car. It's at a dealer in Michigan and he can have it here to buy just as soon as I give him a "refundable" deposit of $12,000 which - when asked about the details - doesn't turn out to be refundable at all. But he'd be happy to take my credit card over the phone anyway. No thanks. Within two minutes, his manager is calling me back to say there's been a misunderstanding - no deposit required. They'll call when the car is in and I can come pick it up. We agree to the sale price over the phone. Two days later, they call to say that car isn't available at all. Sorry! We agree they'll keep looking. I wait. A week later I get a call that it actually IS available to sell and they'll let me know when it's in Chicago. Days go by. I remind Victor I'm alive via email twice. More days go by, and he finally sends me a note. "You mustn't have been getting my emails. Your car is here whenever you want to come in." We make an appointment for 7pm to buy it. By 7:20, I've driven it and have my checkbook ready to go. Although Victor says they've had a slow day, their finance department is backed up so we need to wait a bit. He starts vamping. He shows a video to demo features that my car doesn't have. We tour the repair shop. He explains their coffee machines have vanilla flavoring if I ever want to come in for a cup. By 9pm, I tell him we are gonna have to find someone to take my check soon or I'm going to need to leave. Suddenly three managers appear and promise "I'm next." And when they finally get someone who has the authority to sign the paperwork, we are done and out the door in under ten minutes (leaving around 930). Two stars instead of one because the car is actually what I wanted. But if it takes this much time and effort to get them to sell you a car that you want, how much more difficult will it be to get a response when you have a repair or service issue that is less "happy" for them? read more

I went to go look at a used vehicle I found online. I had driven all the way to Chicago out from the burbs, so I was hoping the vehicle would live up to the pictures I had seen. Upon reaching the dealership, it was clear that they had gone to great lengths to make the appearance of the showroom and waiting areas look upscale, which was impressive. Matt, was the salesman that I worked with on the vehicle I came to look at. Matt had a clear understanding on how to sell; he was very helpful, absolutely gave no pressure on the sale, and was incredibly patient. This is what the experience should be when buying a car; you know what you want, the car checks out, you talk numbers, and come to an agreement. Very straight forward, and the process I experienced was just that. Everyone we dealt with at Fox Ford were friendly and courteous. The transaction of the sale was relatively smooth. I would've gave zero stars if it was possible! Jessica Hernandez, service advisor, lacks communication skills and professionalism. Fox Ford Lincoln kept my vehicle in for service from 8:30am-2:30pm. After patiently waiting for six hours I called and was placed on hold for 15 minutes till Jessica Hernandez answered. Coincidentally after she answered my driver was outside waiting for me. To put this in perspective, I live less than a mile away and would've walked if not for heavy rain. Upon arrival to Fox Ford Lincoln Jessica Hernandez failed to communicated of repairs done to my vehicle. She had a terrible attitude, and was dismissive as she walked away from her desk. I felt belittled when she told me I can wait outside for my vehicle and fail to provide me with any receipt of oil change, and pending repairs. I called Ford customer service and they assigned me a case manager Keondra. After serval phone calls she couldn't figure out what transpired. 5 business days later Keondra finally said my parts are ready but still no receipt for oil change nor service performed. Fox Ford Lincoln does valve their customers and are very dishonest of what occurred while my vehicle was in there facility for 6 hours. Literally worst company ever. To start the service people are extremely rude. Especially Jessica. I paid for the top extended warranty and they still gave me trouble. I brought my Bronco in because my soft top had flown off in the wind from not latching correctly. They asked to lol at it with an engineer. I said ok but wanted to show them what I meant. So I got it home and noticed two more parts were broken since they had it that I had not had before. They said they would look. Upon looking they said they are no problem with it not clipping and it is user error. I asked the manager to wait til I got there so I can show him, I got there at 3:01 and he left at 3. They said they refuse to warranty it. They told me to go to another dealer or claim it on my insurance. I contacted Ford service direct and they were appalled. They said this dealer doesn't want to pay the upfront price of the part. This dealer refuses to help me because I did not purchase from them. He avoided having a conversation with me. My only constructive critique would be to get the credit paperwork going and complete before I arrive at the dealership for delivery, or at least as soon as I arrive. There was an "Identity Statement" on one of my credit reports for some reason. That literally took about an hour and a half or so to remedy. we ended up late for a commitment wee had at 3 pm. We arrived at around 10:45 am. We purchased a Black Label Navigator. I would not expect anyone's delivery to take that long and particularly not at that tier of trim level. I just purchased my first brand new car from Fox Ford and overall had a very positive experience. I went in with a healthy dose of skepticism and maybe even cynicism just based on prior experiences with dealerships. What brought me in was advertised rebates on new 2018 Focuses--they're offering up to $6,000 in instant savings on them. I thought it had to be bait and switch (as this is a common tactic to get people into stores), but I decided to just go and check it out. Within minutes, I was connected with Jacobo, who took me through the lot to show me the various models of Focuses. They ask for your ID, email, and phone number before going on a test drive (I was reluctant to provide my contact info because again, negative experiences with other dealerships). We took the car that I ended up buying on a quick test drive just to check it out. The location of the store is convenient for me since I live nearby, but keep in mind that is in a pretty busy/congested area which can make a proper test drive a little tricky. We discussed the terms of the vehicle pricing and purchase process before, during, and after the test drive and it turns out that the rebates were legit and had no strings. They offered me what I believed to be a very favorable price for my trade-in and it all basically worked out to be too good to turn down. I had only very casually been looking for another car since I was still happy with the one I had, but it was aging and the 100K mile mark was creeping up. I went into Fox Ford thinking there was maybe a 1% chance at best that I was going to buy a new car, but it turned out that I ended the day as a new car owner. The thing that stood out for me was the level of professionalism and great communication from all team members from the sales person, to the cashier, to the business manager. Even though I was just a small car sale more or less adding little (if anything) to their bottom line, they still gave me the attention and focus (pun intended) required to drive a hard bargain and close the deal. The fresh cookies are also a nice touch. Definitely looking forward to returning for service and some cookies. read more

Just moved back to the U.S. (with the cars), went to Fox for recalls. advised them I also needed them to take a look and see why the windshield fluid was leaking (we think the last time it was serviced the overseas mechanic failed to reconnect the hose from the reservoir). get a call that the Fox mechanic working on the car says the rear pads are low and the rear disks are pitted, they recommended replacing them. Not thinking (just moved to town, a lot going on), I said go ahead - should be able to trust your local Ford dealership ... work is compete, price is actually reasonable, I get the car and go home. Then I realized they didn't fix the washer reservoir, and after giving it some thought, I looked up pad/rotor life for my 2017 Edge Sport with 21,000 miles - mind you, there was no brake squeek, nor vibration. Rear pads and rotors should be changed at about 60,000 miles ... few days later the guy calls and says, "you'll have a survey coming your way shortly" I told him I wouldn't have good things to say and explained why... needless to say, never got the survey. Whole it's possible the dealer is on the up and up - and they do appear to have put on the new equipment, they should have provided a robust explanation and let me know the usual service interval was 3 times as many miles as were on the vehicle. As it is, I'm very unlikely to do any business with Fox Ford, even though they are the only Ford dealership relatively close (25 mins) to me. read more

As of Saturday, October 13, at 6 PM, I have not received any information from the service department regarding repairs. This morning, when I called, the service manager told me that he would get right on it. I bought my used car at Fox Ford almost a year ago. whenever I buy a car I always wait a year to do a review to make sure to get the full picture. I don't mention specific people i interacted with, but I do have EVERYONES name of Fox ford cared to follow up about anything or anyone specifically both good and bad. Positives listed first, followed by the negatives. Sales: the whole team helped me which I found interesting, and odd, but I liked it. Definitely felt cared for, even if it was just my sale they wanted. They were attentive and polite, and made sure I was greeted right away. They answered all my questions no matter how dumb or silly to them it was. if I was just reviewing sales, it would be 5 stars. amazing! Credit: didn't spend much time with them, but I guess that's also a good thing. made getting the finances and paperwork simple and easy. again, limited interaction, but I would give 5 stars as well. Service: BIG ZERO. Honesty one of the worst experiences of my life. I've worked in customer services my whole life, and to call this place "service" was either a mistake, or they were lazy and didn't remove the sign over the door when they moved in. I won't bore you with ALL the details, but I had a pretty serious incident about 7 months after I bought the car. I brought it in to get checked out, and the minute I arrived at the service entrance I was greeted with sass and unpleasantries. It's Chicago, it's a garage, I get it, you deal with stuff like that, but it doesn't help the experience or review. once they take the car in, before I can say hello or get the name of the guy working on my car, I'm told, "hey we are really short today and there is a chance you won't get your car back today." without even looking at my car first. ok, fine, whatever. come to find out that is the service manager. getting the short staffed response from the boss before he's even looked at the car didn't sit well with me. I explain the situation what's wrong with the car etc. I leave it there to be worked on. about 3 hours later I am called and told they are done and can get my car. Since I was just told they might not even be able to get to it today, I was cautiously optimistic my car would be OK with minimal repairs. Nope. major things here, major thing there, and all the Major stuff is highlighted in red for you to show the seriousness. OK, so can they fix it? nope, they don't have this one part which is the big major issue that says critical next to it. so when is the part coming in? "We don't know." can I drive my car? "you probably shouldn't." what should I do? "I don't know. but we will call you when the part comes in." With the shipping issues the whole country has/had been having, I tried to be understanding but I was left with my car not fixed, with no idea if or when it would be fixed, all while being told the car is unsafe to drive, but go ahead and drive it home. Not a good experience, but what could I do? I waited for 4 months. I got rides to and from work, ubered, begged anyone who could let me use their car here or there to get me from A-B so I didn't have to drive my car. I called EVERY WEEK to check on the part. To see if there was something they could do. almost every time I called I got a different answer. Sometimes it was the straight forward, but same disappointing answer of no new news. But sometimes they had no record of me having service there, sometimes they said they hard the part, but did not, sometimes I was just hung up on all together. I finally got fed up and took it to a dealership not Ford related at all just to see if they could do anything for me. I would take a patch job at this point. anything so the car didn't feel like it was going to explode when I drove it. I bring it in I explain the work that was already done and the issues I was still having, and they confirmed it was the right part giving me issues (thank god ford service got that right at least.) the service guy says, "I don't even need to check the computer, I logged a few of those parts this morning. we definitely have it in stock, and we've had it in stock for a few months." My car was fixed that day. The lack of care, empathy, and SERVICE from the Fox Ford service team was nothing short of a disaster and beyond disappointing from start to finish for me. from service management all the way down to the receptionist who answered the phones and would hang up on me. I didn't want to lump all of Fox Ford in with their service department, but there were many service opportunities (months worth) to handle my situation better or to show care and empathy (Fox Ford did not call me once to follow up on my car in the 4 months they were waiting for my part. I called them every single time). and none were taken. That shows me it's a company issue, not a department issue, even though the Service department is what sank the ship for me. read more

No real issues with the maintenance or onsite personnel here(besides somewhat lengthy waits), but getting through to them by phone to schedule any sort of service is nearly impossible. Called last Thursday 3 times, finally got through to a Call router. Was routed to service, rang for 1 minute then went to hold music. Was on hold for ten minutes then hung up. Called back, eventually go a hold of someone who told me they would have to call me back. Didn't have an issue with that, gave them my number and haven't receive a call back now 6 days later. Called again yesterday (5 times) before getting a hold of someone in service. I was told they had to go find the right person, waited on hold for 14 minutes before hanging up. Called back again and asked for a manager. Was transferred, received voicemail (left a message expressing my frustration) and haven't heard back. It's a nice facility and the people are fine when you're actually there in person, but there's no good reason why getting a hold of someone on the phone in the service department should be this difficult! read more

We didn't end up purchasing a car but Jake went out of the way to help find us a car that met our specifications. We are very picky and had specific requirements so the vehicle we wanted wasn't easy to find. When we initially thought we found it and put down our deposit, turns out the other dealer already had a buyer. Undeterred Jake spent time over the weekend and off days trying to locate us a vehicle, coming up with creative multi-dealership trade deals to secure a car. My husband and I were stranded in Chicago overnight due to the incompetence of our local Fox dealer. Where my terrible experience began with Fox Ford Lincoln was when they lied to my husband and told him that there were no rental cars in the entire city of Chicago because of the holiday and we would just have to wait for our Fox Dealership Rental car to be repaired. That option would have stranded us in Chicago for another night. We hung up the phone and called an Enterprise two blocks over who happily arranged a rental car for us. I have had terrible service here and I am now refusing to ever support or buy a Ford again. I have called numerous times and I do not have anyone answering the phone and they do not call back. I purchased a brand new car and it had 18,000 miles on it and due to a factory defect it needs a completely new engine. This dealership told me it would take 2-3 weeks and have refused to offer me a loaner car or reimburse me for a rental or daily Uber rides because I have not purchased an extended warranty. I do not know any other brand car that would not support their customer with service due to a manufacturing defect like this. They have lost a customer. read more
