Visiting from out of town for my wedding and we are staying with friends in Eureka. Driving in: watch for signs, you can miss it! Once you make the right turn in it opens up into a big parking and you will see more signs (love it) Inside: very large sitting area inside. Kind of a mini art gallery as well. They have many different artists up on the walls. It was nice to take a walk around and check out local artists while I waited. Menu: Nice selection of bagels and sandwiches, but they also have a "build your own" option. They also have a selection of donuts, juice and coffee/espresso drinks. Ordered: The San Franciscan This was sooo good! They recommeneddd the Garlic Salt bagel and I liked the added taste from the salt that complimented the whole sandwich. I added bacon to mine (custom) and it was such a delicious breakfast. I had ordered 3 of these, but mine was a bit special. Plain bagel w cream cheese I love a good bagel in the morning and this place was shockingly good, better than most I have been to in my travels. Definitely a place to try! Post wedding: I really want to try the bagel dogs! Unfortunately I learned the hard way that they are not open mon-wed because I wanted to go back after the wedding and it was closed.

Easily the best bagels and donuts in all of Humboldt!! My boyfriend and I have made it a habit to try and come here twice a month (which sometimes turns into twice a week). Each visit we are blown away with how consistently wonderful the food and service is. We love Frankie's!!

Really big location inside. The music and decorations were nice. They had a display of all their pastries and such. I tried a sesame bagel that's was awesome and a crème brûlée donut which was unfortunately pretty bland. Still would try again but get something different

This place is a Hidden gem. We accidentally ran into it while we were at the fairgrounds. And to our delight, we tried the jalapeño popper, bagel, dog and the cannoli pistachio chocolate donut. What a treat! The restaurant was pretty chill and low key! And the service was placed your order at the counter, and the orders were filled promptly!

chocolate chai and the crème brûlée doughnuts

Bagels toasted to perfection, worth the wait. New flavors every week ( pizza is my favorite). And delicious doughnuts like crème brûlée and chocolate chai. A true breakfast masterpiece, everyone should try Frankie's at least once.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable... fairly broad menu with something for everyone. We were just passing through town and looking for a solid lunch. I had what they called the stuffed avocado... which was really good, but I wouldn't really consider it a stuffed avocado - more of a salad with sliced avocado. My friend had clam strips - also really good (I sampled a few purely for review purposes). I also had some soup... spicy shrimp bisque. It was good! I think I'm going to try the clam chowder next time I get a chance... I originally planned to get clam chowder, but the bisque sounded interesting so I went with that instead. One downer... and I'm not sure if it was a "one off" type thing or what... but a portion of the crust on the bread I got with my soup was 'crunchy'. I'm not sure why? It didn't seem to be stale, but something was off... not sure if it sat in a warmer too long or what, but it didn't seem right. Kudos overall... good experience.

Salad has chicken peas and pickled beets.  Good solid side salad. The coleslaw is lacking flavor.  The fries are semi think cut but perfectly seasoned... Great Job. The clam cutlet is pounded clam then breaded and pan fried.  It's heavy on the breading but its also heavy on the flavor... thumbs up.    The fish and chips are pretty good too.  Taste like beer battered .. flaky and moist white fish (cod) I think inside a golden brown shell. The food was delicious, but what really stood out was the service -- absolutely incredible! Everyone works together like a true team: friendly, attentive, and always checking in to top off your coffee or see if you need anything. Even when it's busy, the food comes out super fast and fresh. Our server, Debbie, was fabulous! She's been with the restaurant for over 20 years -- and you can tell. Loyal, personable, and excellent at what she does. If you're traveling with kids, there's even a cute little park and zoo at Sequoia Park Garden nearby -- perfect for stretching your legs before getting back on the road. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for good food, fast and friendly service, and that warm, small-town atmosphere you can only find along the redwoods.

It's been over a year & I still think about the amazing hashbrowns at this place, that's how good they are. I remember they came out hot & crispy yet soft & fluffy on the inside. I am honestly surprised how many times I have come back to this memory but I simply can't think of a time I had better hashbrowns. When we visit my folks for the holidays I'm going to insist we have breakfast here at least once! Sitting outside under the covered patio is also really nice on a sunny day. Beautiful atmosphere for a bright weekend brunch!
