This place needs real management. Came here with my wife and two toddlers. It was 5pm on Friday. We were all hungry. The place was only half full of customers...just before the dinner rush. Waited 40 minutes and received a totally burnt pizza. Obviously, I complained! Our server said a replacement pizza would be about 8 minutes...(this is usually when a manager pops out and apologizes and offers us a salad or appetizer to tie us over during the additional wait with two hungry toddlers) ...and then about 30 minutes later another pizza arrives. Whoa, the manager just hung out in the kitchen the whole time and offered us nothing. He could of at least apologized or offered a appetizer for the wait. Nope, nothing.. We live down the street and eat at Fratelli's often. We won't be back for a long while. By the way...the servers are great, the manager is terrible. read more

Good local pizza joint. The sauce is sweet and delicious. I had a veggie pizza and it rocked. I'm not even a vegetarian, but the ingredients sounded really good and I was not disappointed. I even made a few friends with other pizza eaters while there. It was a refreshing change from the typical college pizza hole in the wall. Fratelli Pizza is much better tasting than the "chain" pizza companies. However, the service is terrible 90% of the time. The last time I came in for a pick up, the person who "greeted" me said "for who" gave me my total. Took my payment. Handed me my food and walked off before I could ask for crushed red peppers. Aside from that, don't order past 8:30 because they will decline your order, stating they close at 9. I'm from Flagstaff originally and come home to visit often! This pizza is the best in my opinion, anywhere! Try it, you won't regret it. For lunch you get a large slice with a sofa for about $5-6. The main reason for this is I'm hoping that maybe someone from upper management will see this and respond to me since it was a horrible, humiliating experience! The reason for this review is a personnel and management problem. I'm originally from Flagstaff, and after 3yrs at NAU I joined the military in 1981 and have been gone since. My favorite place to eat when I visit is Fratellis Pizza!! My whole family loves this place!! Well, I got home on 19 Dec 2017 and on Wed 20 Dec my 86 y/o dad and I went to have a slice of pizza for lunch. I couldn't wait!!! When we arrived (4th st location) I held the door for my dad and a man and woman leaving, I held it for them too. The man said "thank you "sir". I wasn't angry at him since he was talking to wife and wasn't paying attention. Well, just inside the door I stopped my dad and quietly asked him about this and we had abou a minute or so conversation about it. We then walked up to the ordering area. The young woman (red hair) said to me "is there a problem?" In a very nasty tone!! I told her no, no problem, I was just talking to my dad about the guy that called me sir but there is no problem. She said to me in a nasty tone, "I don't know what the big deal is, women in the military are called sir everyday". So I told her that is not true. She said again it is true they are all called Sir in the military. I calmly explained that officers are either sir or ma'am, and enlisted are addressed by their rank. She didn't like that I corrected her and said "whatever!" She asked us what we wanted and my Dad asked for a slice of pepperoni and I asked for pepperoni and green chili. She pointed to the specials on the counter and I told we didn't want the special of the day. She kept saying we couldn't order the pepperoni and green chili. Why, I asked. But she continued to say we couldn't order that because the pizzas are already half cooked. I said that's ok and we are ok with that, no problem. Omg, this went on and on. Bottom line, she made the ordering process so difficult and complicated, it was unbelievable!! We have never had a difficult time ordering here, but it appeared she was intentionally making this a nightmare to order two slices of pizza!! Finally, after ordering I sat down. After 5 minutes or so of ordering and at the table, I never got my draft beer so I went up to the counter and here she comes, "is there a problem?" I said no, just wondering if I could get my beer. So another guy said they would bring it to the table. A few minutes later a guy named Bobby came and identified himself as the manager and put the beer on the table. He was defensive and said that he was there and heard the entire exchange between the cashier and myself and went on to say that i was being rude to her (WHAT?), and "he heard everything because he was standing close by". I tried to explain how difficult it was to order our pizza and have never had this problem. His tone was rude, defensive which made me get upset, and by this time I was teary eyed and really upset that my father had to go thru this so I asked him why they were being so rude, especially the woman that took our order and at that point he said abruptly "ma'am I'm going to have to ask you to leave the restaurant!" I was shocked!! He walked away and a minute later came back with a void slip and said "I've voided your ticket and I'm asking you to get up and leave the restaurant ". I asked WHY and what we had done wrong and he wouldn't even attempt to de escalate the situation, he escalated it further by telling us that if we didn't get up and leave he was calling the police!!! "Get up and leave right now or I'm calling the police!" Omg! Bottom line. I have never been so humiliated in my entire life! My father who is on oxygen didn't say anything and just got up and said "let's go sweetie, let's go". I was absolutely horrified and angry, and embarrassed!! We have gone to this Fratellis for years and years and have never had a problem, ever!! Managers should try to de-escalate issues in their restaurant, not further complicate and escalate to the point of calling police!! I'm not a criminal, yet that's how Bobby treated me and my father!! I'm back in Arlington Va again and wondering if I will be able to be treated fair at this restaurant when I come back in a few months!! Too bad I didn't have enough time on this short trip to enjoy my favorite pizza. Next time I guess we'll go to the new one in west Flagstaff. read more

Fratelli's is always good! My only suggestion is about your vegetarian symbol on the menu. It is very much like the vegan symbol and could be easily confused. As vegetarian and vegan are different, I would suggest changing it even though at the top of the menu it says what it stand for. Unfortunately, not everyone reads things properly. I am a new vegan and I did not even think to ask if the crust was vegan, I hope so lol if anyone can answer this for me I would love to know. Otherwise, pizza was yummy! We get our pizza from the 4th Street location and, usually, it's delicious. However, the past 3 times we've gone there, our pizza is burned and the kids won't eat it. Honestly, it's hard for me to enjoy a burned pizza, too. We usually get 2-3 pizzas and they've all been burned. Spending at least 30 bucks each time. This burning thing is new... But they went far and beyond to make it right even though we didn't complain about it. They notice the mistake and went to our table to let us know they where going to fix it, and they did. This was our first visit here and didn't really know what to expect. We got a kids pizza half pep, half cheese and the veggie pizza. We also ordered the ravioli, bread sticks, and mozzarella sticks. Worst slice of pizza I can remember buying at at pizza restaurant. I suspect the pizza was cooked ~45 minutes earlier and then burned to death to make it warm enough to serve. Incinerated is a good word to describe what was brought to my table. I ordered wings too and they arrived about 15 minutes later. The server dropped them off and quickly turned to leave. I said to him as he walked off, " the pizza is over cooked". He responded, "good isn't it". There were few customers in the restaurant at 11:00 AM and the staff was huddled in the kitchen talking most of the time.
