Their food is SO good but don't order through the yelp app. I waited there for 1.5 hours for my order only to be told that the order was received and then wasn't actually received. Apparently when you order through the yelp app it sends them an email with your order instead of directly notifying them and they don't check their computer regularly so that was a pain. The man assisting me was very kind and gave me complimentary wine to ease the long wait, but the whole experience was overwhelming in general. I would say the food makes up for it because all of their food is AMAZING. Gumbo, red beans with rice, and fish. Yum. I ordered delivery through Uber Eats, and the food was incredible! This was my first time trying French Quarter, and I'm pretty impressed. I got the shrimp, crawfish, and andoullie pasta and chicken&sausage gumbo. Both had amazing flavors and were really good portions. The gumbo had a nice dark roux, and the creamy tomato creole sauce on the pasta was mouth watering! They also included bread rolls (that were still warm when I got them) with garlic herb butter. Up from my four star review, this place deserves five stars! The food is delicious. The service is amazingly good. The owner is there and attentive, he served us our entrees tonight. Overall just a very great place to eat, ive eaten here several times now and I love it. The chicken Benjamin is delicious and the gumbo whether you get the chicken and sausage or seafood gumbo is so delicious! The food is really good and so are the drinks, I recommend the hurricane. This is definitely a restaurant I would drive to north Austin for again. I dined here after a seminar on a Friday and it didn't disappoint. In fact, it's unassuming until I walked inside. I felt like I was in a restaurant in the French Quarter (and not in a cheesy way). The staff was friendly and our server, Kallin, was great. We all ordered salads and an entree. I ordered the special - corvina fish with étouffée, green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. The dish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious- crab, corn, cream sauce with some heat. My friend has celiac and they have a GF menu. She said the salmon was the best she had ever had. The fish pontchartrain was also a hit at the table. We had reservations and I'm glad we did since it was packed and there was a wait. Kallin also suggested making reservations for lunch during the week as well. Their étouffée was a little more on the soupy side vs the traditional gravy texture, but was still tasty. I got the fish pontchartrain and my fiancé for the Maui Maui and both were perfection! We had our team offsite at French Quarter Grille. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding! I chose a bowl of Chicken and Andouille Sausage Gumbo and a Wedge salad. I haven't had Gumbo this good since I ate at Evangeline's a couple of years ago. The roux had a deep, dark, rich, and complex flavor that was so delicious! There was a generous amount of chicken and sausage. By the time I finished the gumbo I was too full to attempt the Wedge salad, so it was packed up to take home. We also ordered three desserts to pass around; Blueberry Cheesecake, Croissant Bread Pudding, and Chocolate Raspberry Crème Brûlée. We got there at 12:10 expecting to be out of there by 1pm, but we started eating at 1pm In addition, at the end, we waited for 10min for them to come pick up the tab with the card. I tried to get their attention, but they never paid attention. So we walked up to the front, brought the tab to pay. It may be considered rude or impatient, but at this point it was almost 2pm!!! And the restaurant was NOT full, so I don't understand it. The food was awesome though. I ordered crab and shrimp remoulade--house salad is mundane but the remoulade was tasty. 4 out of 9 people ordered Blackened Red Fish and they all loved it!
