We had a fantastic experience at Frenchies! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right blend of causal and elegance. We can't wait till Fall to sit in the lovely very French Style patio area. Upon arriving we were greeted with warm Texas hospitality and the staff were all incredibly friendly. Service was top notch. We just ordered a snack because we actually only came for a nice refreshing cocktail. We were a little disappointed that there is no happy hour offered on weekday afternoons and in fact we overheard 3 other parties ask about happy hour as they were getting seated at the gorgeous bar. So Im hoping that a happy hour will be added for future visits. We ordered from the I am assuming dinner menu which wasn't near as French as we were expecting but did have several nice nods to classic French Cuisine. We had the Warm Perfectly Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside baguette with a yummy compound butter. Hubby got the Gazpacho which he loved. I was not a fan as I prefer a more classic Spanish version. This Gazpacho was heavily laced with cumin which really ate more Mexican than the classic version overwhelming the flavor of the Summer Garden flavor I enjoy. Food arrived promptly and was presented beautifully! There was a small hiccup when we ordered our cocktails with a specific vodka that we enjoy called Neft. We were told they didn't carry it. We pressed them to double check and in fact they did have it after all. While it was ultimately resolved, it left a slight impression that the bar staff may not be fully familiar with the bar offerings. That said they handled the situation professionally and it didn't take away from the lovely 1st experience to much. With just a bit more attention to product knowledge Frenchies bar has everything it needs to become a go to favorite. read more

This restaurant could have been great, it has real potential. The customer service is absolutely unacceptable. We gave them not one, not two, but five chances on different days of the week, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, the result was always the same: servers who clearly don't care, ignore notes and customer preferences, and show no interest in getting better. It's shocking how little attention is given to guests, as if the staff simply stopped trying. Management should seriously invest in training and staff development, because the way things are now, this place is digging its own grave. A restaurant can't survive on potential alone; not when the people running it seem so indifferent. What a shame to see such a promising spot being ruined by consistently careless service. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The best steak I've had in Dallas! Great cod and salmon. Cooked just right in delicious broth. Also, the best croissants in Dallas! Highly recommend this place. read more

The croque madame and the croque Monsieur were both excellent. What they're calling a hamburger au poivre is actually a regular hamburger surrounded by a moat of inexplicably thin sauce that has some pepper in it. The burger was not au poivre. The steak frites were very good and cooked correctly. By this account of the main dishes we had for lunch I'd give a score of about three and a half. But we had appetizers and all three were underwhelming. The cheese balls are only good if at least warm if not right out of the oven but they were room temperature and not good. The country parte had no detectible seasoning, and with no cognac it was more bland than your standard American meatloaf. The deviled eggs were not what you would expect. They taken some tarragon and mixed it into some of the egg yolk but the flavor was very light as if it had been emulsified with oil or something. It just wasn't good. Three times we had to ask for someone to find our waitress, and she forgotten one of the drinks at the table. We ended up using the bus staff several times to assist. Friendly but subpar service at the table. At the end, lunch for five people was about $280. Not good appetizers with poor service left me wondering if my 50 something dollars for a sandwich and a Diet Coke was something I'd come back for. The answer is no. read more

Ambiance is nice, but ridiculously loud in all dining areas, starting with the blaring music that is not necessary, especially at lunch. The service was very amateurish. The server was pleasant, but not trained, did not know the menu, had to ask what was in quiche loraine, could not answer our questions with out going to ask someone, such as what is your wine pour. Might have been his first day ever as a server. The food was very bland. There are salt and pepper shakers on each table and everyone in my sight line was using them to add salt and pepper to their food. My sister and I ordered the same entree, spinach and mushroom quiche. Hers came out hot, mine was barely lukewarm. Also, was not even close to a traditional quiche. Bread and butter is $7.00 The wine glasses are small, as is the pour for the price. The best thing about this restaurant is the silverware. The napkins are super thin and I thought they were paper until I realized they were fabric. No management person ever came to our table or even into the Garden Room to visit with diners. Very disappointing experience from Travis Hospitality Group. Probably will not go back unless they do a quick about face. read more

We went a few weeks ago and sat outside. It was a perfect night to sit outside. There were a few issues though. The service was slow. We wanted to order another cocktail, but the server didn't show as quickly as we thought they should. Also, we have been there 3-4 times already and I am already tired of the menu. The burgers are good but I don't want to have that every time we go out. I think the management needs to reevaluate their selection of entree items on the menu. I'd like for Frenchie to not become a one hit wonder. read more

Very disappointing experience! Restaurant is so loud you can barely have a conversation. Food really poor and unacceptable. Gazpacho was a grey, off putting color. Pate served rock hard- could barely spread it on the 3 tiny pieces of cold, burned toast. Had to order bread for $7! Mussels were small, tough and sauce lacking in depth of flavor. Cajun chicken was a small portion, over seasoned, lukewarm and fries came out completely cold. Informed our very disinterested server. She brought new fries but never apologized or asked how our food was. Escargot was over seasoned with something that overwhelmed the sauce. Just sooo disappointed in every aspect of this place. It will never survive with this sub par food and service next to the excellent Il Bracco. Do yourself a favor- don't eat here!! read more

Service was great . Food was an extreme disappointment. The pate was served without the approiate ecctroment and the "toast point " was burnt. After that failure we tried the escargot which was tasteless with no sign of garlic butter as stated on menu. The entries one of which was the file, served with French fries because there was no other choice , was just ok. The other was the cheese souffle , bland and tasteless. We had a side of asparagus which was under done and the "sauce" looked like cottage cheese and 2% milk poured over it. To sum it all up the chef doesn't know how to season .
