Good luck trying to get a buyout for your service if you're an Advantage member. I'm selling my property and have tried for over a month now to get info on how to do so and I keep getting the runaround by support. Sometimes I'm told they're transferring me to that department to speak to someone, to which no one answers and I leave a voicemail only to never be called back. Other times I'm told you "dont' do" phone transfers to that department. I've been a customer for over a few years now. So much for customer appreciation. read more

Called yesterday morning at 8:30 am and was told they would be at my home at some point in the day. That I will get a call with a 30 min warning. 4pm I called to make sure someone was still coming. They assured me yes. 7:40 pm comes and not service tech. I called again and was told they will send an email to find out what is going on. I got a call back at 9pm and was told my appt will be changed to the next morning. I was assured since my appt was rescheduled that I was first on the list for the morning. 12:30 comes no service tech or call. I call to find out what is going on and they send another email to find out. An hour later I get a call saying they will be here between 2 and 4 pm and that they have a lot of calls today. I let him know I called yesterday. They don't really seem to care. I would do it myself but the my warranty would become invalid. So the hottest 2 days of the year I have no air Conditioning and all I need is a new thermostat. I'm about to buy my own and put it in than to spend my days waiting for someone who will not show up. Worst customer service ever Update: finally got a call at 2:30 to say they would be here in 29 min. The problem is he told me it would be $99 to come out. That's fine that's what I was told yesterday. But then he added $81 to tell me what is wrong. Mind you these guys put in an all new system 4 years ago so it is still under their warranty. It will also cost me a percentage of the new thermostat (which has a 5 yr warranty from them). So basically, their warranty means nothing. And when I told them I have the paperwork showing the warranty I was told that they can't find warranty it must not have been uploaded yet. It's been four yrs what's the problem. But warranty or not I was told $99 when I scheduled them waited 2 days for someone to show up and then the price doubled. These people are crooks and could care less about the customer. read more

This is a review of the service I received from Freschi Air Systems (a division of Service Masters). The service was excellent and is no reflection at all on the repairs needed to fix my AC unit. I'm a new homeowner and the AC wasn't working, which is brutal in this Contra Costa County heat. Freschi had installed the heating and cooling at our house so I called and made a Saturday appointment (important since I couldn't be there for a weekday appointment). I received a confirmation call on Friday for my appointment window and Bart arrived well within the quoted time. We lucked out: he'd worked at the house before for the previous owners and knew the system. He was thorough in his examination and determined that the 10-year-old compressor had shorted. This was NOT due to the electrical connections made to the system but a problem within the Lennox compressor itself. While the fact we have to replace the compressor is bad news, Bart impressed me with his knowledge, and his willingness to answer any question we had for him about the situation. I'm not excited about the unexpected expense, but I'm confident Freschi can resolve the issue quickly and replace the compressor so that we can get AC, again. In addition, my husband has worked with Service Masters in the past and most of the technicians have been knowledgeable and good at their jobs. The need to replace the part can be laid at the door of a) Lennox not making sturdier products and b) the fact that summers in Antioch require full time AC usage. We were long time customers of Freschi and very satisfied more many years. Things have changed. Three years ago we had them install a new central heating and air conditioning system. We got a 10 year warrantee on the system and also agreed to the service agreement. However, when we noticed that the 2nd floor was not being cooled (or heated) adequately we asked them to check. They kept telling us everything was fine. It wasn't until we got an independent check that we found out the duct work had not been reinstalled properly. We contacted them and the guy that came out said he could not do anything about it that a installation representative would call us back. This never happened, and now the refuse to return a phone call about the matter. When they changed to Service Experts things have really gone down hill, They provide no service, are far from expert, and do not stand behind their work. read more

I inquired about Costco's Lennox air conditioning program and it turned out it was handled by Service Experts in my area. Their sales consultant Terry Collins came for an on-site evaluation. Unfortunately, while he moved upstairs to access my furnace, he leaned his ladder on the wall but it somehow fell down to the ground while denting and scratching my cabinetry and dry wall. He took some picture of the damages and told me his manager would send someone to fix them for me. However, when we discussed the pricing of Lennox air conditioning, he offered $500 discount if I go with their service to "call it even" for the damage. I believe he could offer me the same discount without damaging my carpentry and wall! So I declined it and asked him to still have someone come in fixing it. So far, no one contacted me at all concerning this and my email to Terry never got returned. It is easier to figure out whether I need their air conditioner and installation service this way but I am pretty unhappy with the damage. His bragging of their superior service just paled out when you considered he incurred damages to potential customer's property and did not even want to repair it! read more

We have used Freschi for years on our house and a rental. Something bad happened when they became "service experts" Then the other day I was looking for a HVAC guy and learned that Freschi/service experts people were on commission which may account for many of the high priced comments on this site. My experience---the combustion blower fan on my furnace had slipped on its shaft and was scraping on its housing I called Freschi/service experts and was told a guy would come out to diagnose the problem (which I had already done) and the fee would be $100-$120 (I forget) payable when he got here. He showed up on time and in about five minutes had the fan out. I suggested he take a center punch and tap the squirrel cage back in place on the shaft and call it a day. He insisted I needed a new fan and motor and quoted me over SIX HUNDRED dollars and it had to be ordered. I told him I would try to fix it myself and if I was successful, I would call and cancel the callback. I then had the fan in hand with the make and part number which was Googled and Amazon had the part for under $80 including shipping. With a replacement on its way, I went to my shop and used a punch to re-center the squirrel cage a drop of thread lock and reattached it with the four sheet metal screws that is came apart with. It has been over a year now and it works just fine and I have a spare just in case. I called the next day and cancelled the callback, THEN, six to eight months later, I got a collection call asking when I was going to pay the over SIX HUNDRED dollar bill. Really Freschi/service experts, over Six Hundred dollars to replace a $80 part and 10 minutes labor? Remember, I had already paid over a hundred dollars for the first call. read more

We scheduled an appointment for Friday between 10 and 12. At noon, after we had not received a call, I called for a status update. I was told that we did not have a guaranteed appointment and that the rep would be there at sometime during the day. I was NOT told that when I made the appointment. We scheduled our day around that time. We felt we deceived into taking that time so we would not call someone else. The call reps were very difficult to deal with in general. had to give my address several times and constantly repeat details. We the tech finally arrive , he was fine. But, we need a new system and based on our interaction we don't trust your company and are buying it from someone else. read more

I had one of the best encounters with Devin, Ric, and Tim. These 3 guys were punctual in timing as well as courteous and respectful. Devin is the first guy that came out and went over pricing and products. Ric and Tim worked in a group of three but those were the two that I rather rate only. I will give my business and refer business. Oh I forgot about the inspector that came at the end...he was friendly and explained how to follow up with the permits. Our furnace was making a very loud noise so I called Freschi and was able to get an appointment right away. The technician was to come out between 5-6 pm. Kindly I received a phone call to let me know the technician had just left his last job and was on his way. Chris was our technician and had been to our home once before. He's very professional and knowledgeable. Did I say patient? He spent a good amount of time to figure out where the noise was coming from and determined it was the blower fan/motor. The reason I am giving 4 stars (other wise I would give 5), is it took two phone calls, plus a call to a higher up to find out what the status was on the part and when I can make an appointment. Finally, I got an appointment to my liking (between 5-7 pm) and Chris came out again. He was prompt at 5 pm. I didn't have to wait till 7 pm, which isn't unlikely when you are waiting for service. Chris spent a couple hours to make the repair. He has a very calm personality, which I liked. Once he repaired the furnace he cleaned up behind himself as if no one was ever there. Good job Chris. I highly recommend Chris and gives Freschi a good name! Chris deserves a 5 star!!! read more

I was calling a bunch of companies in a panic since it was so hot in our house, and Freschi was the only one that had a live person answer the phone and could give me a specific appointment time for the next day. Freschi is a joke. I had a technician out named Colby in June to fix my mini split system because I was getting a P1 error code. He first told me that I would need to call you the manufacturer. But at the same time he tried to get me to sign up for their advantage program. After calling the manufacturer I called Freschi back to get my money refunded for the service visit. I could never get through to any member of leadership.. supervisor, manager, etc... I called two more times and got the run around. I called this past Friday and spoke with a lady named Myra. She ensured me that a manager would call me first thing Monday morning. I still have not received a call. Interestingly, Colby the original technician shows back up my home and says I'm scheduled for an appointment today. He tried to act like he did not know who I was or had been to my home. After speaking with him for several minutes he then says " Our customer service center should have called you. We have new corporate guidelines and rules that we cannot service any systems that Freschi did not install or by one of Freschi's authorized contractors" . I asked him how can ensure me that I would not be charged for him wasting my time and he said "you will have to call the office, they take care of all billing". I would highly DISCOURAGE anyone from using this company. Save yourself time and money. Your better off going on YouTube and figuring it out yourself. I'm sure that Freschi will respond with a generic message apologizing for the inconvenience and ask me to reach out to their office.. but no one in the office knows anything nor are they helpful. My AC went out during the week it was 100,106,108 degrees. I called on Wednesday late morning to set up an appointment and they told me a tech could come out from 2pm-4pm on Thursday. After we agreed to the appt, I had to call in sick for work on Thursday so I could be home to meet the tech. At 4:30 on Thursday, I called to ask where the tech was. After apologizing that the appt wasn't on the books, they said a tech would be here within 30 minutes. It took the tech 50 minutes to get to the house. Good part! The tech was here for about 45 minutes and fixed my HVAC! Thank goodness for cold air! Thank you Taylor! read more

I wish I would have searched around before I went with Freschi. I kinda think they took advantage of my Mom and I because we were not knowledeable of the pricing for new systems. My mother in on a fixed income and no way could have afforded this without my assistance. We paid almost $15,000 for our heating and air system! I compared prices with friends who had no system at all and had to get everything done and other friends who just needed new systems and they paid either half or less than half then what we paid for with other companies and were offered same warranty as what freschi offered us. Wish I would've done more research cause we obviously paid a lot for ours. read more

I paid for $119 to the heating service. The service technician came out before this winter to service the heater. He completed the service and said that the company had a special promotion. For additional $70, they will come out to service the AC unit before this coming summer. I agreed and gave the credit card to the technician. Couple month later, I received a letter saying that I owe $119. I called in and they under stood the promotion and took my credit card to charge $70. Somehow the technician did not charge the $70 at the time of servcie Couple weeks after that I received another letter saying I owed $119. I called back and spoke to a rep. who was sorry for the situation and the letter can be ignored. A month later, I received a letter from the collection agency TRANSWORLD SYSTEM INC. with the Current Balance Due $119. I called in and talked to Pam. She said the collection of $119 will be removed and I can disregard the collection letter. I requested to talk to her manager. She said the manager was not available and will call me back. I never received a call. Today, I received another collection letter from TRANSWORLD SYSTEM INC. with the Current Balance Due: $119. Hence, I write this review. I am so busy and have to deal with this non-sense! Just hope others can avoid my situation! read more

i have had hits and misses with this company. The one service call i had with one of the guys arriving at my home, he was arguing that my system was not a heat-pump for heating and cooling (they installed it as heat pump in 2012 for a mere $16,000, i complained to costco and that was no good!). he asked that i chnge various parts etc, and i finally asked politely the guy to leave the premises and he did. now here is the good news! Then after a few weeks i called them back and they sent Codee; she was a God-send. She knew exactly what the problem was! why don't we have more women in these businesses and none of the ignorant men! and some of them are very dishonest or ignorant! The reason we called them was the gas bill went up to $ 250 a month! normally it is about $3 to $5 per month as we have a heat pump and is fed my roof-top solar. she calmly asked....how many thermostats do we have and where they were. we showed them to her...three thermostats. She asked if we changed batteries every year or so. I said what batteries , in exasperation. so she pulled them out and proved one of the thermostats was permanently damaged because of corroded batteries! she had me change the batteries....fortunately i had spare batteries. I discarded the third bad thermostat as it was not really needed.....no other change! The Heat pump was working fine! Freschi service put in our HVAC system years ago and it still is perfect now. We have the yearly maintenance and they come out twice a year to check and fix anything if needed. This time I had them install a new smart thermostat and the Serv tech was great to work with. He was in no hurry to get it done and then spent time helping me program it using my smartphone. Poorly designed and even after spending more than $20,000 with Comerford's, the house would NOT stay comfortable on hot summer days. So I called Freschi and got a bid from Dominic Freschi. He was informative and professional and redesigned my HVAC system within my budget. For the first time ever, my home is comfortable even on 100+ days. The installation was very clean and great quality work. The crew was efficient and always showed up on time. There was even an overlooked expense in the installation that Dominic wrote off for me. Freschi has been maintaining and servicing my central air & heat conditioning system for 20 years. Three years ago they replaced the air conditioner and did a great job. I knew that I needed to replace the heating furnace and called Freschi to finish the job. Ryan the residential consultant provided me with several options. We agreed on the system for my budget and within seven days I have a new efficient central air and heat conditioning system. Mike, Oliver and Sergio came early to get started and they were done in a reasonable time. They were careful with the items around the house and cleaned up before they left. About a week ago our 14 year old Lennox heater stopped working. We had a service contract with another company which I called. The service man came out to the house, took a look at the furnace and suggested that we make an appointment with one of their sales people, because, "these units don't last longer than about 12-14 years". The part that he thought it needed would be $1,000 installed, but we would receive a 20% discount because of our service contract. He had no idea how long it would take to get the replacement part. He left us with no heat. I then called Service Experts. It was a Saturday and the dispatcher told me they would send up a technician who was working in Fremont. Later that evening the Service Expert tech showed up, Ren is his name. He immediately got to work on the unit, identified the problem (I call it the exhaust fan) and found a tiny piece of plastic had broken off in the fan and jammed it, which stopped the whole system from starting up. he continued working on it until he got the fan started again and we had heat. Thank you Ren. He explained why the part was breaking down and needed to be replaced. He quoted a fair price which was lower than the "discounted" part the first tech quoted. End of discussion. Service Experts will be my go-to HVAC service company from now on and I will always ask for Ren. read more

Service experts replaced my 20 year old office building HVAC and some related duct work. The job was done as scheduled. The install was very clean and professional. There was an electrical box problem about 30 days later and they came out immediately to make the repairs. They also provided a custom lockable steel cage around the exterior copper condenser because it was visible from a major road. I think the pricing was on the high side but I feel that I got the service that made it worth it. I did get some follow-up marketing calls for a maintenance contract but after asking to remove my name from their list, it stopped immediately. I would use Service Experts again. read more
