Came today for my cousin's birthday. I had the voucher for 50% off 2 at the buffet, and he had a birthday voucher for buy one get one 50% off. Price was good for what they had to offer. So many different selections of food. Seafood, Americans Asian, Italian etc. loved the ice cream section too lol. Prime rib cut was sooo good and juicy! I ended up having 3 whole lobsters plus 3 separate tails and a few snow crab leg clusters too. I think I went 6 rounds lol so worth it! We got there at 4:45pm and was told it was a 2 hour wait, but we sat in about an hour on a Friday night. GO EARLY!

Having high expectations on lobsters is setting yourself for disappointment. It's an AYCE buffet after all. Some batches turned out salty and overcooked. Had better ones as well that were the complete opposite. It's quite random. Satisfied as far as lobster. No complaints given the circumstances. Lobsters are limited to two at a time. That includes whole and/or tail. They really do check your wristband in case you are wondering. Other offerings weren't appealing except for their ice cream station. They offer by the scoop and prepackaged options (e.g. cups, sandwiches, bars, etc.). When pre-paying, leaving a tip was not an option. Perhaps, never offered by the cashier. Fortunately had cash at hand for our well-deserved waiter. He was very responsive and provided the best service possible. Besides others racing for food with little to no etiquette, it's a decent option.

This buffet is way way way overpriced. i had a food credit, but 60$ is robbery -- Heck, i think Sizzlers puts them to shame. i will likely never go back to this buffet again unless i have a credit.

My family had been curious about this buffet and it was a decent experience for a one-time visit. The "wow" factor that I expected for the price ($60 per person) just wasn't there. The lobster and crab were okay, with the lobster tails being a bit saltier than I would have preferred. The rest of the food at the other stations fell kinda flat and they definitely could benefit from a much wider variety of options. The dessert station was probably the best station after the seafood, although even then the quality was a hit or miss. I definitely left full, but not particularly satisfied. However, I do appreciate the incredibly attentive staff who frequently cleared our plates and offered refills.

This is the buffet at the Hard Rock Casino Hotel in Sacramento. It is only open certain times, and I was able to go there for the Thursday night "Surf and Turf" buffet, which goes for $30.99. While the price was certainly reasonable, I did have high expectations and unfortunately I found it to be just quite ordinary. They did offer unlimited crab legs. I had what looked like a nice slice of beef from the carving station, but it turned out to be very tough. The desserts were mostly quite unappealing. Nevertheless, there were a large selection of various items to choose from. It's a good way to fill up, but in my opinion it's really nothing special.

Since I was staying in Sacramento, I decided to take a short trip north to check out this buffet. It's somewhat in the middle of nowhere and connected to the Hard Rock Casino, which made it an interesting stop. I went with the full surf and turf all-you-can-eat, and there was a great selection overall. The big-ticket items included prime rib, New York steak, lobster, and crab legs. In addition, they had a small selection of Asian dishes, some fried foods, a salad bar, and a fairly extensive dessert section. The food was pretty good overall. Like many others have mentioned, the lobster meat was a bit hard to peel from the tail, but it was still manageable. The crab legs and meats were solid and satisfying. Each table had large buckets for shells and waste, which was convenient, and the servers were attentive about clearing dirty dishes throughout the meal. The layout of the restaurant was casual and spacious, with plenty of walking room even when it was busy. For the price, I thought it was a pretty good deal to have unlimited lobster and steak. I would definitely come back again. Funny enough, I noticed a lot of people bringing their own sauces, which is something I'll probably do next time.

I went on a Friday at around 5pm with my husband for the lobster all you can eat. It wasn't that busy and wait time was not long. Staff are nice. The buffet area is small. There aren't a lot of food options. For what they have, I think the food aren't bad. The lobsters, like every casino buffet, are over-cooked. All the different types of butter they have are flavorless. The tiramisu cakes and the cinnamon buns are really good. They're not dry. The cinnamon buns are soft and chewy. If I ever go back, it would be for the cinnamon buns, and I don't even care for cinnamon buns. Overall, I had a good experience here. The waiter came by often to clear the used plates. Unfortunately, they didn't have enough food options. After two plates of food, there was nothing else to go back for besides what I already ate.

Came on Friday afternoon. I definitely recommend to come early as the line can get long. Restaurant open at 3. We got here at 135, no line. By 215pm the line start wrapping around the corner. This is definitely the place if you love lobster and crab. 57.99 pp and it was so worth it. You can get up to 2 lobster tail at a time. They don't care if you go back 10'times. Other food are ok. Ice cream lots of choices. Each table has a bucket for you to hold the shells. We got the $15 mimosa flight. They actually give you a whole full size sparkling wine bottle and a glass of juice. You have to make your own flight. It's very worth it. Definitely recommend.

The quality of food is like Hometown Buffet but the pricing is almost the same as Las Vegas Bellagio! Sure the AYCE lobster is justification for the pricing, but after about 2-3, I usually tap out. The crab meat was pretty enjoyable though. The food choices were mediocre - most were a little bland and not really enjoyable. Choice of entrees and dishes definitely needs a revamp.

Surf n Turf -- where is the snow crabs..barely any
    Annie X.

Surf n Turf is the worst! There were barely any snow crabs. The seafood boil was soooo dried! Barely anything else to eat.! Will not be returning to their buffet!!! It took them awhile to bring more out. Every worker just looks miserable! Not many food selections at all. I don't get it how you can be at buffet and still be hungry! Its a uhuh!

Missed Jackson Rancheria Casino's "Fisherman's Wharf Buffet" aka "Northern California's Most Beloved Seafood Buffet" - all you can eat lobsters, crabs, and other seafood (shrimp, clams, mussels, etc.). Sadly it closed down at the start of COVID (5 years ago) and never open back since! In need of a new lobster buffet. Youtube videos show this one and Koto Buffet at Red Hawk for the next available Northern CA's lobster buffets. Decided to try this one first, since Koto Buffet does not serve lobsters on a Sunday. Overall, was a very nice experience! Great customer service - very friendly and accommodating staffs! Love that you have a choice of lobsters in the half (just the tail only) and/or in the whole body served on your plate. Price currently at $57.99 per adult includes unlimited drinks (sodas, tea, coffee, etc.). A much smaller buffet place with limited items (e.g. no clams or mussels, 1 shrimp item, and 1 soup - clam chowder only) on the menu compared to Jackson Rancheria buffet. However, on the positive side, with limited items give you less distraction (from too many food choices) and more time to focus/enjoy only the best/favorite seafoods (lobster & crabs)! Will be back.

I have been wanting to try Fresh Harvest's Lobster and Crab night for a while, and finally got to go! Me and my friend went around 6:30PM on a Saturday night, and we were told we would have a 1 1/2-2 hour wait. Luckily, we got in after a little over 1 hour. The first thing I saw was their large dessert section, which I was very excited to try after getting their regular food. With the lobster, you are able to choose between the tail or a whole lobster and can get two at a time. Crab wise, you can get as much as you want. I was disappointed with the lobster as it was overcooked. I thought the crab was pretty impressive although many of the legs were hollow inside. I tried a few of the dessert options that thought it was one of my favorite parts of the meal. They had everything from cakes, fruit, ice cream, cookies, etc. With the price being $58 for the lobster and crab combo, I would rather go during their surf & turf night which is without lobster, as it's only about $30.

    Joey Y.

Meh. For the price. It's worth it only if you want lobster. There's nothing else to earn. Fried wontons. Rice. Veggie eggrolls. Pizza. Tri tip. Turkey. Ham. Those are the other options. As for lobster- only allowed 2 tails or 1 whole/1 tail at a time. They had rock crab and snow crab. Snow crabs frequently ran out. Whole lobster - often overcooked and hard. Lobster tail - of the 10 or so I had. They were cooked almost perfection. The mango sorbet is delicious and so were the cream puffs. Service. Food often took awhile to come out. Waiters did their best but just not quick enough. Had to ask for a pitcher to save the waiter time. Would I go again? If I'm in the area. Otherwise no.

OK, there's still an overabundance of food and choice but this time everything looked very unappealing, and like it sat out for way too long. You should read my other previous reviews for comparison. This time I looked over all the offerings first, from one end to the other of the buffer counters. Nothing stood out as a 'wow'. As a matter of fact I had a hard time finding anything appealing. Hmmmm. After a good search I did finally find some veggies- zucchini. It turned out to be way over cooked, limp and also apparently sitting out for way too long. My wee bit of hope was nixed. In retrospect I should have tried the collard greens with ham. The only thing looking somewhat decent were rice dishes and actually they were OK. However when I got some Asian stir fry to go along with it the saltiness made it nearly inedible. The salt level killed all the flavor. The one Asian bun I chose was hard as a rock and very dry. I got a piece of kielbasa at the carvery station. The guy carving was rather abrupt and seemed very disinterested in doing the job. Oh well. The kilbasa was just OK. Grabbing a rib I thought I may have found something worthwhile. Yes, somewhat. Once I got past the fat and grizzle the meat was indeed good. The jalapeno cornbread looked appealing, although presented in chunks way too large that were falling apart in the tray. The piece I had was actually tasty and not greasy unlike my last time getting it. Overall the food was lukewarm at best. The soft serve ice cream was good with lots of topping options, plus I had a small square of a chocolate brownie that was delicious, moist and full of chocolate. My four dining partners couldn't eat more than a small plate and left half of what they got, quite dissatisfied. It's really unfortunate. On top of it the service was nearly non existent. Clearing plates or whatever just never happened. Oh well. I gave it two stars as the price point is truly good and perhaps it's more my picky pallet and expectations than that of others who come here. There was a consensus among us that perhaps eating at the other restaurants might be a better option.

My sister said it gets very busy at dinner time and the wait time can be over an hour. For lunch, it was quite a good deal. AYCE Hotpot, sushi and BBQ for about $30. If you only choose one of the AYCE options, it is about $25 but seems worth it to get the all 3 combo for $30. It does seem that everybody at the table has to choose the same option. Hot pot - You each get your own individual hot pot. There had a pretty good variety of broth flavors to choose from. There is a menu that you can order the meat from. There were 5 of us and we were told we can order 4 meats to share per round. There is a separate area for to grab a tray/bowl and choose your veggies. All in all, I enjoyed the Tonkatsu broth and like the variety of meats and veggies available. Korean BBQ - A bit different in that you do not order at the table. There is an area with small trays of meat available for you to grab and bring back to your table. Good variety. Pork Jowl was my favorite and it's not as common. The only issue is that if your party doesn't communicate, you some how end up grabbing all of the same items! So discuss amongst yourselves or else it might be an overkill. Didn't try the sushi simply because I had some good quality sushi the night before so no need for buffet style sushi. The staff was VERY friendly and efficient. Mixed review on this one…read more Standout: Service, Service, Service! The food runners and the supporting staff were amazing! Great patients with the grandparents as they are less adventurous as they took time to explain the process as well as recommending a less "punch you in the face" broths for their individual hotpot. This buffet style was also cool in that all the individual proteins (pre-cooled/seasoned/fully cooked) were individually plated and in little half boxes . Diners take an empty lunch tray, gather what looks good for their liking and return to their table to cook and enjoy. Definitely much more "civilized" . Way better than large sections with multiple tongs encouraging the food savages. Another big plus is the wide selections. For those food influencers...it will be a long running camera shot just to capture the amount of different items. The challenge with this approach tho is that the plates and small food containers can stack up bery quickly and take over much of the real estate on the dining table top. But we were amazed at the team work of the staff to quickly make the needed elbow room. On a busy Saturday night tho, it definitely can still be a bit tricky. The value for the AYCE die hards are definitely there! There are solid options of meats fish and veg. But those fearing AYCE diners can also expect a certain level madness. We saw many unintentional dropping of trays of eager patrons. There were definitely ambitious customers that are stacking their trays sky high. Customers on our visit were generally very cordial to staff and on the couple of "tim.....berssss" we witnessed, the response time to clean up was really impressive! The AYCE masses are hard to please for sure, but it may make a difference to apply some general limit on the individual patrons trays? That may frustrate some hardcore diners but can enhance the experience of others. We will reiterate that the managing team is just doing such a bang up job in hiring a great crew! They all were hustling and we definitely noticed! WTG!!!

When we brought it up, the server explained they were transitioning between lunch and dinner and offered for us to wait while they replaced the food. I appreciate the offer, but that doesn't excuse having a buffet--especially with seafood, poultry, and meat--sitting out cold. That's not just unappetizing, it raises serious health concerns. We chose not to stay and eat. Again, the staff was polite, but food safety and quality just weren't there.
