Wasn't too crowded 3pm on a Saturday and was right at the entrance of the casino to the left. Pretty decently sized buffet with many tables and buckets with each table for the shells. Came today for my cousin's birthday. I had the voucher for 50% off 2 at the buffet, and he had a birthday voucher for buy one get one 50% off. Price was good for what they had to offer. So many different selections of food. Seafood, Americans Asian, Italian etc. loved the ice cream section too lol. Prime rib cut was sooo good and juicy! I ended up having 3 whole lobsters plus 3 separate tails and a few snow crab leg clusters too. I think I went 6 rounds lol so worth it! Having high expectations on lobsters is setting yourself for disappointment. It's an AYCE buffet after all. Some batches turned out salty and overcooked. Had better ones as well that were the complete opposite. It's quite random. Satisfied as far as lobster. No complaints given the circumstances. Lobsters are limited to two at a time. That includes whole and/or tail. They really do check your wristband in case you are wondering. Other offerings weren't appealing except for their ice cream station. They offer by the scoop and prepackaged options (e.g. cups, sandwiches, bars, etc.). When pre-paying, leaving a tip was not an option. Perhaps, never offered by the cashier. Fortunately had cash at hand for our well-deserved waiter. He was very responsive and provided the best service possible. My family had been curious about this buffet and it was a decent experience for a one-time visit. The "wow" factor that I expected for the price ($60 per person) just wasn't there. The lobster and crab were okay, with the lobster tails being a bit saltier than I would have preferred. The rest of the food at the other stations fell kinda flat and they definitely could benefit from a much wider variety of options. The dessert station was probably the best station after the seafood, although even then the quality was a hit or miss. I definitely left full, but not particularly satisfied. This is the buffet at the Hard Rock Casino Hotel in Sacramento. It is only open certain times, and I was able to go there for the Thursday night "Surf and Turf" buffet, which goes for $30.99. While the price was certainly reasonable, I did have high expectations and unfortunately I found it to be just quite ordinary. They did offer unlimited crab legs. I had what looked like a nice slice of beef from the carving station, but it turned out to be very tough. The desserts were mostly quite unappealing. Since I was staying in Sacramento, I decided to take a short trip north to check out this buffet. It's somewhat in the middle of nowhere and connected to the Hard Rock Casino, which made it an interesting stop. I went with the full surf and turf all-you-can-eat, and there was a great selection overall. The big-ticket items included prime rib, New York steak, lobster, and crab legs. In addition, they had a small selection of Asian dishes, some fried foods, a salad bar, and a fairly extensive dessert section. The food was pretty good overall. Like many others have mentioned, the lobster meat was a bit hard to peel from the tail, but it was still manageable. The crab legs and meats were solid and satisfying. Each table had large buckets for shells and waste, which was convenient, and the servers were attentive about clearing dirty dishes throughout the meal. The layout of the restaurant was casual and spacious, with plenty of walking room even when it was busy. For the price, I thought it was a pretty good deal to have unlimited lobster and steak. I would definitely come back again. Funny enough, I noticed a lot of people bringing their own sauces, which is something I'll probably do next time. read more

This is definitely the place if you love lobster and crab. 57.99 pp and it was so worth it. You can get up to 2 lobster tail at a time. They don't care if you go back 10'times. Other food are ok. Ice cream lots of choices. Each table has a bucket for you to hold the shells. We got the $15 mimosa flight. They actually give you a whole full size sparkling wine bottle and a glass of juice. I went on a Friday at around 5pm with my husband for the lobster all you can eat. It wasn't that busy and wait time was not long. Staff are nice. The buffet area is small. There aren't a lot of food options. For what they have, I think the food aren't bad. The lobsters, like every casino buffet, are over-cooked. All the different types of butter they have are flavorless. The tiramisu cakes and the cinnamon buns are really good. They're not dry. The cinnamon buns are soft and chewy. If I ever go back, it would be for the cinnamon buns, and I don't even care for cinnamon buns. Overall, I had a good experience here. The waiter came by often to clear the used plates. Missed Jackson Rancheria Casino's "Fisherman's Wharf Buffet" aka "Northern California's Most Beloved Seafood Buffet" - all you can eat lobsters, crabs, and other seafood (shrimp, clams, mussels, etc.). Sadly it closed down at the start of COVID (5 years ago) and never open back since! In need of a new lobster buffet. Youtube videos show this one and Koto Buffet at Red Hawk for the next available Northern CA's lobster buffets. Decided to try this one first, since Koto Buffet does not serve lobsters on a Sunday. Overall, was a very nice experience! Great customer service - very friendly and accommodating staffs! Love that you have a choice of lobsters in the half (just the tail only) and/or in the whole body served on your plate. Price currently at $57.99 per adult includes unlimited drinks (sodas, tea, coffee, etc.). A much smaller buffet place with limited items (e.g. no clams or mussels, 1 shrimp item, and 1 soup - clam chowder only) on the menu compared to Jackson Rancheria buffet. However, on the positive side, with limited items give you less distraction (from too many food choices) and more time to focus/enjoy only the best/favorite seafoods (lobster & crabs)! I have been wanting to try Fresh Harvest's Lobster and Crab night for a while, and finally got to go! Me and my friend went around 6:30PM on a Saturday night, and we were told we would have a 1 1/2-2 hour wait. Luckily, we got in after a little over 1 hour. The first thing I saw was their large dessert section, which I was very excited to try after getting their regular food. With the lobster, you are able to choose between the tail or a whole lobster and can get two at a time. Crab wise, you can get as much as you want. I was disappointed with the lobster as it was overcooked. I thought the crab was pretty impressive although many of the legs were hollow inside. I tried a few of the dessert options that thought it was one of my favorite parts of the meal. They had everything from cakes, fruit, ice cream, cookies, etc. With the price being $58 for the lobster and crab combo, I would rather go during their surf & turf night which is without lobster, as it's only about $30. read more

Review #40 for 2025 Went here with the family after a long 8 hour drive from SoCal to visit my mom up north. This place is like 10 minutes from her house and after a long drive, the last thing we wanted to do was have to cook or wait for food, so this was our Christmas dinner this year. I was leary of the low overall rating, but I took it with a grain of salt and this being the closest casino buffet to my mom's house, I wasn't willing to make a trek anywhere further, especially with the pouring rain. I was expecting a long line when we arrived at about 630pm, dinner time, but there really was not a line at all. Only a few people in front of us. As far as prices, it was $30 per person for this Christmas dinner. The food was mediocre, but not the worse buffet I have tried. The buffet is fair for the cost, especially with having crab legs at this price. Our server was okay, she did come around when needed, but not overly attentive and some of our plates did stack up for a bit, but eventually taken away. She also did offer coffee right away when she noticed us getting dessert. She was way more attentive then when we went to the Wynn buffet in Vegas that costs us almost $100 a person! As far as the food and size of the buffet... it is definitely on the smaller size for a buffet. There was still enough to eat however, but nothing stood out as amazing. There was an Asian section with some noodles that I liked. There was also bbq pork and white rice, egg rolls, and chicken wings. I would had liked to see some fried rice though. There was some seafood available that included fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, and some other items I can't remember. For kids, they did have pizza which was pretty decent and you can see them cook it in the fire oven! There was also fries and onion rings. They also had a meat carving station and I go the prime rib which looked really good, but was not tender at all when you ate it. There was also sausage, ham, and turkey at the meat carving station. There was hot crab legs available, however, they were really salty! I only got one plate of crab legs because of that. There was a fruit/salad station. They also had a dessert station that included ice cream sandwiches, fudge bars, ice cream cups & ice cream they scooped. There was also cookies, cheesecakes, cream puffs and a several other dessert items. For $30 a person for Christmas dinner that included soda and coffee, it was a pretty decent meal. We were full and tired. Would I come back? By no means would I say this is my go-to place to eat, but I wouldn't mind coming back here. Especially after a long drive to my mom's house. The steak, shrimp, crab, mashed potatoes, pizza, macaroni salad, the Asian foods and the huge desert bar with tubs of ice cream and stacks of popsicles, all delicious but one thing stood out more than the rest. The Au Gratin. Man..I don't usually even get au gratin but it looked good and tasted even better. Whoever makes the Au Gratin deserves a raise, a vacation, a high five, a good star or something! SO disappointed!! I am a buffet lover! I was really craving a seafood buffet but wasn't sure I wanted to spend $57.99 for the crab and lobster but saw they had a $30 crab buffet on Thursdays so I thought this was perfect. They opened at 3 and we arrived around 4 There was no line and casino in general was quiet. The cashier was very nice and welcomed us when I told her that was our first time. Then everything else was downhill from there. The hostess tried to seat us in this most awkward corner at the end of a long table that butted up close to the nearby table of people when the restaurant was only 25% full. I asked to be more in the middle and even then put us as far from the buffet as possible. Weird. This is the smallest buffet I have ever seen! there is NO mexican food section?? even Sizzlers has a nacho bar. Selection was very sparse. If you are going to offer less items, how about make them be the best they can be? Alas no, even the salad bar was sad. The only item I liked was the polenta and ice cream but how can you F that up?. Everything was so dry! I took a pic of the chicken and dumplings that looks like it was from 3 days ago. The worst part is that an employee was manning the station and I thought does that look at all appetizing to you?? The chicken noodle soup had so much pepper that it was not edible. I looked all over nearby for a soup spoon and I had to ask. She says, its on the other side by the ice cream. Um, yeah that's logical. Lets talk about the crab! I asked my waiter and he says "they are located in the middle of the room.... unless you want me to get them for you?" Um yes please. I expected to at least have shrimp cocktail or a type of fish. Nope. Everything was pretty much frozen or from a can. Only other seafood was overly deep friend shrimp. Pretty awful overall. My husband still talks about how bad the sausage was days later. This was the first buffet I ever left not feeling remotely full. Typically I take one small scoop of everything and then go back to what tasted best. I only went back for the Polenta and fought with another round of crab just to try to get my moneys worth. I drove an hour for this buffet--all for the lobster and crab! If you're not a seafood lover, especially lobster, this probably isn't the buffet for you. It's $60 per person, and I see all the other food as just a filler. I load up on lobster, crab, and hit the carving station for the tri-tip and steak. The meat can be hit or miss depending on who's cooking--I prefer medium rare, but it often comes out more medium to well-done. I recently went on Father's Day, and they were refilling the lobster like crazy, which was a huge plus. But heads up--on holidays, you could wait up to 2 hours just to get in. They cut off the waitlist around 7 PM and people were getting turned away. There are no reservations, so plan ahead and maybe hit the slots while you wait. You can grab whole lobsters or just tails, but there's a two-per-person limit each time you go up--so no grabbing extras for your table. read more

From driving from Brentwood, it took us 1 hr and 45 mins. The buffet is open Fri-Sun and you must arrive early to avoid the long wait in line. The restaurant design upgraded nicely and located near the entrance which was helpful. The buffet opened at 12pm and we arrived around 12:10pm and there was already a long line. We must had waited about 15-20 mins so not bad. They had different cuisine such as American, Asian, and Italian. The AYCE lobster was a disappointment. They put only one lobster instead of two on your plate. Also, they would ran out of lobster so you had to wait another 15 mins for them to cook. That was never a problem at the old location. The taste of the lobster was just okay and doesn't taste fresh. On the bright side, they size was bigger which was worth it. The NY steak was too dry for me and didn't taste well with the horse radish. I only enjoyed the mash potatoes, the pasta, and the dessert. I would had gave it 1 star, but our waitress (I think her name was Reena) provided an outstanding service. Overall, I rather buy the lobster at Costco and cook it myself. The apple crisp has a good bite to it. They ran out of coffee and only had decaf available at 515pm unfortunately. I haven't been to a buffet this good since 2005 when my now deceased husband took me to see Gladys Knight and then took me to the then-famous Bellagio Seafood buffet in Las Vegas. Now you know that has now been 20 years. Since then I would have to rate the then buffet at Mandalay a good second. The pandemic took away all of the nice buffets in Las Vegas you have to settle for best restaurants now. I live in San Joaquin Valley so in order for us to go to nice restaurants here we have to spend an arm and three legs, but since I am from the Bay I do know where to go, yes it's pricey but you have the Bay to play;you can always find somewhere to go to enjoy. San Joaquin (Stockton) doesn't offer that kind of atmosphere. Our waiter was nice and brought everyone the right beverage and filled them up and you didn't need to ask. Everything I ate was good-good, I hit up the fresh garden salad station twice as well as the carving station, that turkey was the bomb, the tri- tip was good, but could have been better; the fried won tons, fried shrimp and of course the crab & lobster tails were a hit!!! I ate si much and I couldn't move to get desserts. My cousins ate ice creams. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back real soon!!! Food quality is hit or miss. I went to the Harvest Buffet yesterday (Friday) because you get 10% off on Fridays.you get two lobsters, each time you go to the lobster counter. You can choose between one whole lobster and one tail or two tails. You can tell the lobsters were previously frozen. But what was unfortunate is the lobster meat was smushy and not firm and moist. Other tails were over boiled and hard. The other seafood was snow crab and Rock Crab. Some snow crab was decent. Other snow crab was extremely salty. The Rock crab took a lot of work to eat and the small amount of meat you get wasn't worth the effort. Fried chicken was dry and hard. Normally the beef is all well done and fry, but this time they actually had medium rare. That's a first.so the beef was good. Egg rolls and fried wonton were good. Service was EXCELLENT. He anticipated our needs before we even thought to ask. He was wonderful. The ambience is typical of a casino buffet. Crowded,, and lots of excited people, from two people date nights to groups of eight celebrating some happy occasion.. In conclusion, it''s a decent bufffet, especially all you can eat lobster. Went for Sunday brunch right at opening and was first in line. Got there about 40 min before they opened. Glad I did because by the time they began seating at noon it was a line of 80 people probably. The best part of the meal I would say was their service. They had plenty of drink options and I took advantage of that with orange juice, Shirley Temple and water. They cleared plates very quickly and were on it with the drink refills. As stated by other reviews, you can get two lobster tails at a time or one whole lobster at a time and the crab is all you want to grab. For what it's worth, this is the main reason to come to the buffet here. If you love lobster and crab that is decent, then this is the buffet for you. Now for the bad, the rest of the hot food was just not good. At the carving station the beef options were tri tip and NY strip. The tri tip was beyond dry and chewy as hell. The strip was a bit better but most of time cooked well and also dry and flavorless. Even the au jus couldn't help it. I had some fried shrimp and some fried pork and shrimp won tons as well. They were lukewarm and bland. Dipped the shrimp in some ranch to partially salvage it. The salad bar was absolutely pathetic with just some different lettuce types and some olives, and a very small assortment of veggies. I don't even think they had cheese. No meat like ham or eggs or any premium salad ingredients. Most of the hot foods looked gross and unappealing. Had some spinach and mushrooms with the smallest mushrooms imaginable. Tried some of my daughter's pizza and equated it to what you would get at a cheap gas station. The fried chicken looked drier than a desert and I didn't even give that a chance. At this price point of $58 I would expect prime rib. Also, some chilled shrimp options. Of course mimosas and any alcohol was extra. I think the cheapest mimosas were $5 more. As a true Asian that loves buffets it's hard to say if this was worth the cost for admission. My kid definitely didn't eat $30 worth of pizza and desserts. The value is in the lobster and crab and if you think you can eat the cost of admission then it's worth it. I personally had one whole lobster and about 7 tails. So I feel like I got my values worth. The dining area was clean and they had lots of prep before opening to make sure everything stayed well stocked and serviced. The servers were all nice and friendly. They have red buckets on every table for all the gruesome leftovers of the shells from the carnage. So I give two stars for the service and cleanliness and one star for the food. AYCE lobster and crab! Who can say no?! So we drove 2 hours to get here. We got to the restaurant and the line was soooo long. Reminded me of Disneyland. Finally after what seemed like forever, we get to the counter to pay. We were so excited, yet we had to wait in another line to enter the restaurant. Finally we got seats. Our server is very good and checked with us a lot, soda refills, clearing out finished plates, and replacing our bucket. Off to the buffet, you can get a full lobster and a tail, or get two tails at a time. My husband liked the texture of the small tails, and i liked the texture of the full lobster. The crabs were good. It would have been better if we had better crab crackers and lobster shellers. It made it so much harder that shells and juices were flying everywhere! I wished we had rain ponchos! The rest of the buffet were mediocre at best. But then again, we came for the crab and lobster so we did not mind it. Would I recommend it? Yes Yup Yeah! Our first experience here at the Hard Rock Fresh Harvest seafood buffet was enjoyable. We opted to try the seafood buffet where they serve all you can eat lobster and crab on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The ambiance is typical of a casino buffet. NOTE: You must stand in the designated line to pay for you and your guest first, then get into another line and wait to be seated. Our server was very good. He frequently came by to ask how everything was, and to refill our beverages. They served all you can eat Dungeness and snow crabs, whole lobsters, and lobster tails. They have an Italian, Asian, American food stations, and a carving station where you can select a variety of meats including sausages. The dessert section was surprisingly big with real gelato and ice cream. They also have a variety of ice cream bars to select from. Seafood and Food Stations Shrimp - 4.5/5 The shrimp was cooked perfectly tender. I did not have one that was soft and mushy. The shrimp was firm and tender. The cocktail sauce went very well with the shrimp. Whole Lobster and Lobster Tail - 4/5 The whole lobster and lobster tails were on par for a frozen product. I only selected the lobster tails. The lobster tails were not over boiled to where the lobster meat would be tough. It was soft and tender. I liked the lobster tails. Snow crab - 3/5 The snow crab was ok. The snow crab meat was not as firm or sweet as what I'm used to with snow crabs. The snow crab meat frequently adhered to the shell, and did not come off the shell easily. It might have been the pieces I selected, but that is what I'm evaluating. The meat was not firm as I am used to with snow crab, and it was a little salty for my taste. Dungeness crab - 4/5 The Dungeness crab was very good. The pieces I selected had firm delicious crab meat. I enjoyed the Dungeness crab. Not bad for being frozen. Asian station - 2.5/5 Not much variety of Asian dishes to select from. No soups or any popular "authentic" Asian foods. A couple variations of Fried won ton, sautéed bok choy, and rice. That's all folks... Italian Station - 4/5 A better variety to select from. There is pasta, mushroom stroganoff (Italian?), veggies, and pizza to select from. Desserts - 4/5 The pastries, cookies and cakes were not bad. Average at best. The ice cream was the winner. There is a nice variety of flavors to select from. The ice bars were a great bonus. You can eat one at your table, then grab another one on your way out! Overall, we enjoyed our experience here. The service was very good. Our server refilled our beverage glasses frequently. He came by and asked how things were, and if he could assist us in anything related to beverages such as cocktails. If you like seafood such as crab, shrimp and lobster, you cannot really go wrong dining at the Hard Rock Fresh Harvest Buffet. They limit dining to 1200 customers per day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The staff mentioned to me it is best to arrive no later than 6p on Fridays, and no later than 4p on Saturdays and Sundays. 3.5/5 We came out here for the crab and lobster buffet during lunchtime right when it opened. The restaurant is inside a casino. The price is steep at $57/person. Pros: I was pleasantly surprised with the options, I thought it would be minimal. They had all kinds of food--they had American, Asian, and Italian sections and huge dessert station. The lobster and crab tasted great. Our batch tasted fresh and it was seasoned well. I appreciated that they had veggie and steak options and those tasted great. I loved the dessert station! They had a lot of my favorite sweets and more like ice cream, tiramisu, and cannolis. They also had various cakes and cookies. The service was great also. Our server was very attentive--cleared our plates and checked in frequently. Cons: The ambiance was not super pleasant though. The eating area itself was pretty clean, but because it's inside a casino, the cigarette smoke smell is everywhere. Had to grit through it while eating. After reading several reviews via Google, and Yelp still seeing both positive and less negative reviews my wife and I decided to give Fresh Harvest another try after a two year hiatus. This time it was much better. Still some inconsistency in the cooking of the lobster both whole lobster, and just the tail. Keeping in mind they're cooked in mass quantities to keep up with demand of the buffet. This time it wasn't gross. The snow crab was absolutely awesome. Not over salted this time, and consistently cooked between several trips to the buffet. The Dungeness Crab was very difficult to extract from the shell. Even though they split the claw it was difficult to break open the claws, and the cheap cracker was of no help. The carving station was still subpar. The meat was under the heat lamp way too long and was dried out. The desserts were way better then our first visit. More cakes, and pies, and variety. Again the table service was outstanding! They all worked hard and quickly. Again our table was kept clear of dirty plates, and drinks kept full. So, this trip was much better experience than our first one. But still not as great as we hoped. Would we come again? Yes. But for us it's almost a 2 1/2 hour drive, so this would be rare. But when the craving for lots of crab and lobster hits we'll head back. read more

The lobster tails and the snow crab were sweet and juicy. The place was clean. The ice cream was a really good quality. Loved the Taramisu was really yummy.
