So yum! We came after a friend recommended this place. It was a Saturday brunch on Christmas weekend so it was no surprise at how crowded it was. The wait for 3 people was about 20-25 minutes. The place is cute modern rustic; casual and small. You walk right into the dining area; there isn't a wait area so we were crowding over the surrounding tables. When we finally seated food came out pretty fast despite the wait. I had chicken and waffles; chicken crispy and tender and the waffles is already a fave! Hubby ordered cuevos rancheros and son ordered the kids egg bacon and pancake and we ordered an additional side of sausage. We asked for Nutella for son's pancake which they have! This is the second time I have been here and really love this place. It is quickly becoming the favorite place for our weekend family breakfasts. The restaurant has great ambience, food is really good and most important, staff and service are outstanding. They are very personable, professional and treat everyone great. The menu has some special twists and cool unique features for those in the family that like to try something new, but they also nail the basics for breakfast and lunch very well. My wife and I generally go out to eat breakfast on the weekends. We would hit up Yelp and look for different places to go, to keep things fresh. We have been to most breakfast places across the north DFW area. Several months ago we tried Frisco Diner. We liked it, so we went back. And back again. And again. Then we decided to go back to Yelp to try something different.....and we just couldn't do it. We couldn't find anything we wanted to try more than going back to Frisco Diner. Now we go to Frisco Diner at least once a week for breakfast. Our days of roaming the DFW breakfast landscape are over. This place is incredible. There isn't a bad thing on the menu. The prices are reasonable. They are insanely efficient (never waited longer than 10 minutes even though they are always busy). And maybe most importantly, the staff is incredibly friendly. We enjoy the folks as much as the food! I would consider us "regulars" now. We are restaurant monogamous, and we couldn't be happier about it. No more playing the breakfast field. No more breakfast disappointment. We have settled down...but we are willing to share our awesome breakfast spot with any hungry folks who want great food at reasonable prices from great folks. read more

Frisco Diner is an actual diner. They don't just put just put diner in the name. They have a very diverse menu. You can literally go for weeks and never have the same thing. The berry waffles are especially good. Split an order, they are huge. Speaking of huge, the chicken fried steak is a big meal. I have not tried anything there that wasnt good. Today, my son told me to try this diner. The customer service was outstanding and the food was good. We went on a Saturday and they were crowed. The wait time was less than 10 minutes. After ordering our breakfast, the wait time for the food was not long. I ordered a Denver Omelet, with Applewood bacon, pancakes, and a fruit cup. Such an amazing family owned and operated business. The food is delicious, the servers are super sweet and their food is amazing! We eat here at least twice a week since moving to Dallas a few months ago. Our place is very close by so we will be there all the time. Few of our favorites: The fig and (turkey bacon) omelette, French toast with berries and Mascarpone, and the Cobb salad. Thanks for treating us like part of the family! Went there today early, before the crowd set it. It does get very crowded and noisy. My only explanation is, that there is nothing for breakfast around this area. Parking was good. Service was your average dinner place, fast and cordial. Food was OK, nothing stands out, except for the American coffee that is very strong for regular coffee, as I drink double Espresso mostly, but to no avail here. I added ham to the veggies Omelette and still came out super bland, ZERO flavor, so I added a pound of salt. The Hash browns, again, average. Pancakes, average. Price was right, but will I go back??? Nope. Normas Cafe is far superior in service and the food has FLAVOR!!!, but the Coffee is not as good as in here. read more

We tried this place for the first time today, primarily because of its 4.5 star yelp review. Let me start with the positives, cute ambiance and friendly staff, and the coffee was great. Now, to the negatives, the food was just average. It really is just basic diner food. The pancakes were ok, the corned beef hash was clearly out of a can, and $10 to boot. It was really inedible. I ordered a fruit cup and it was just melon and pineapple, neither of which I like. The hash browns were ok, but I base my judgement on a place's ability to properly brown a potato and they came out fairly undercooked. Overall, the only reason that I gave 3 versus 2 stars was the staff. read more

Came here for lunch once and breakfast once. Both times service was good. Overall they have a large menu with many options. Did a good job utilizing the space they have with the seating and cute decor. Menu has a lot of options to choose from, so you won't have any issues finding something. Doesn't have the little touches I was hoping for like real maple syrup with breakfast and real milk for coffee unless you ask but that's ok. Weekend mornings are crazy busy so get there before 9am or you could be waiting for a while to get in. Lunch seems busy but doable to still get a table. Had a panini and soup. Generic and not super warm when I received but I do love their pickles. Whatever brand they serve are crunchy and delicious and a nice side to panini and soup. We decided to try the new diner. Got there Saturday AM early, cold rainy day and figured we would beta the crowd. Not here! Wow this place was already buzzing! In our opinion, we had excellent and interactive service-meaning our server wasn't just friendly and prompt but helped us through the menu, played along with our sarcasm, and asked his manager off beat questions we had. The food was very good for breakfast and apparently lunch is just as good if not better. Good flavors, fresh ingredients, and big portions for good prices. Got the perfect parking which was right in front. Its packed, people waiting outside we didn't wait long, maybe 25 minutes. Ordered nutela french toast was surprisingly good. Not too sweet at all.
