The restaurant itself was very busy on a Sunday morning. Lots of people going in and out with everyone trying to talk over each other. I ordered a sweet tea and was given an unsweetened tea. At first I thought they didn't have sweet tea and had to use sweetener from the table container. When I asked the waitress she replied that they did have sweet tea. I think she even did the same thing to a table over. I also ordered the Southern Benedict. It had a sausage patty and creamy white gravy. The eggs were perfectly prepared and tasted delicious. I liked how they were able to handle the crowds with minimal wait time for a table and quick with getting the food out to the table. First off let me say that the staff is helpful, polite and very quick. It's a simple diner with corrugated tin on the walls with booth and table seating. Now for the food. It was pretty basic with hash browns that are comparable to the ones you buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. I can only imagine this place would be crazy on a weekend, it's not too big. But that adds to the diner experience- it's loud and buzzing with energy and smells like fresh coffee and pancakes! She was super happy, she gets this pretty much every time we go to breakfast. She said it's the best she's had in a while, biscuits were soft, hot and really shinned with that savory and creamy gravy (not too salty) The hash browns were perfectly cooked, golden brown. We were a little disappointed that they didn't offer home style potatoes, just hash browns. They were good tho! I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich and fries! Boy o' boy... it did not disappointment! It was hot and perfectly fried and sauced! Great bun too! I asked for extra ranch, and I'm glad I did! Would absolutely recommend this place for breakfast and lunch! Can't wait for our next visit! We ordered the Star Skillet Farmer's Market, B.A.T. Eggs Benedict, Very Berry French Toast, Migas, and the Chicken Fried Steak. The eggs were cooked exactly as we asked. Everything came out fresh and delicious. The Migas was "the best we had ever had" but, the chicken fried steak was "awful". The coffee was fantastic and the service was excellent. Frisco Diner is a small, narrow, deep, rectangular shaped restaurant that is part of an outside shopping center area. Parking is minimal. We had to park around the corner. Make sure you find the hostess asap. We thought someone would greet us but then two groups walked ahead of us and they knew to get on a waitlist. You live, and learn, right? They do not take reservations but although they were really busy on this Saturday morning at 10 am we only waited for 15 - 20 minutes. Oh! One FYI tip: It was January, 35 degrees outside, and sitting anywhere near the front six tables would have made us miserable. The door opens frequently! The people who are waiting inside that door area are right on top of you and they cannot help but park their butts right in your face, no joke. We asked to be seated further back, lol. My husband and I were greeted with a smile from a young lady in a Frisco Diner shirt. The wait for a table was 20 minutes and people continued to come in. Lucky, we found an open stop at the bar and it was perfect. Within seconds of sitting down our waitress came by and took our drink order, because this was our first visit. It took us a while to order. The menu isn't over whelming but there are a lot of options to choose from. I ordered a chicken breast with eggs and hash brown and it came with a side of pancake or toast. My husband ordered an omelet and that also came with a side of pancakes or toast. Once we ordered, our food was up quicker than I could fix my coffee. She was knowledgeable about the menu and even food allergies! Ther servers even polish the silverware! I had the Tex Mex skillet which is fabulous! Located on the service road of Dallas Parkway near Blue Goose. Our waitress was Becky, which she did an excellent job on taking care of us and making us feel right at home. We enjoyed the music that they were playing and it was a nice lively time! My wife had the Buffalo Chicken $10.00, their fried chicken has a light batter and the portion of the chicken was very generous. They fried the chicken to perfection and tossed in buffalo sauce & topped with crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, provolone cheese & ranch dressing on a brioche bun. The sandwiches come with your choice of salad, French fries, or cup of fruit. I had the Reuben with a house salad and their homemade ranch dressing (which is so tasty!). My family and I have been coming here for the last year for breakfast and lunch. This place serves everything fresh and the service is always quick and fantastic! We usually get for breakfast the French connection with the berries and vanilla whipped cream with side of eggs as chicken sausage. The soups wraps and sandwiches are great for lunch. Also don't forget to get some fresh squeezed orange juice or grapefruit juice! For lunch the buffalo chicken fried chicken is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Jazmein provided service I'd expect at a 5 star restaurant. She was outstanding. First, her timing. She was able to anticipate our needs like a psychic. Really, she seemed to read our minds about what we needed and when we needed. Second, she was attentive but not too attentive. It's an art only the best servers master: being there for their customers while not to the point of bothering them. In addition to the amazing service Jazmein offered, the food was great! My wife found this place on Google because my mom was in town and wanted to treat us for brunch. Glad she found this little gem because the food was delicious. Was disappointed with our brunch- what a surprise considering the great reviews and how busy it was. The pancakes were very chewy- I couldn't cut them with a fork. we've been here twice now when we are in the frisco area. always BUSY! small place but servers are SO efficient, they have it down! food is always great and usually comes out pretty quickly despite how busy they are. i'm not a huge coffee drinker, but i really enjoy theirs, hot, fresh and a nice well rounded blend. i asked for sugar free syrup with my french toast and server thought to ask if i'd like the powdered sugar cut too. i REALLY appreciate good servers and that is a sign of a good one in my opinion. small spot, be prepared to wait at peak days/hours, but service does zip along. read more

Group of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) ate here for brunch on a Sunday around 11am. Positives: Food was delicious! I had the BBQ chicken salad, which was excellent! The other adult had the "breakfast" chicken fried chicken with hash browns and an egg, with biscuits. Biscuits were buttery and delicious. Kids had grilled cheese sandwiches, fries, Mac and cheese. The food was just great and I'm excited to try other things on the menu. Negatives: Our server was either having a bad day, or does not like kids. Both are understandable but I wish she could have hidden it better. Examples: one child spilled a small cup of water, which we cleaned up mostly ourselves, but the server was visibly annoyed. We asked if they had mashed potatoes as a side and were told "nope, never have, never will." When we ordered chicken fried chicken, we were asked if we wanted the breakfast or lunch chicken fried chicken. We said "what do you mean" and she said "what do you mean what do I mean, it's breakfast or lunch" - this ostracism went on for a minute or so before she finally explained the only difference is the sides you can choose. That simple piece of info could have easily been offered initially. I considered a lower rating b/c of the way we were treated but 1) the food was great 2) I think everyone has an off day and I hope that whatever might have been bothering her gets better soon read more

I generally don't go out for breakfast because I feel I make a better breakfast than I can buy at most places. However, I gambled on Frisco Diner after checking out Yelp and I wasn't let down. So we came back again a few weeks later and it was just as good. We've gotten different menu items both times and liked everything both times. Even the coffee is great here.
