My usual inspection station was closed, so I popped into this location on a whim, hoping they could squeeze me in. To my surprise, they said they could take care of me right away. The process was fast and easy. They took my insurance card and keys while I settled into their clean and comfortable waiting room. Within fifteen minutes, my truck was ready to go. I paid the fee and was back on the road in no time. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made me feel like a VIP. They did offer to sell me some wipers, but there was zero pressure. They simply let me know I was welcome to come back anytime when I was ready to replace them. I am extremely happy with my visit to this Kwik Kar location. These people are shady, new management and they will take advantage of you. If I could give them a negative 100 stars I would. I'm a single mother and this was our only transportation and they ruined my Lexus car. It no longer drivable, I am the only owner of this car and it was in wonderful shape and they f*cked it up. At this time my car had 111K miles on it. So I told him no. His response "OOOOK, it's due, you'll need to come back soon to get those changed"... He didn't even ask me when I replaced them 2. I got my car back and literally 2 days later (mind you I did not drive my car for 2 says). I got in my car to go to the grocery store and my car started shaking CRAZY!! 3. I took the car back, they kept the car for 4 days then called me and told me the transmission isn't turning over and I need to replace the whole transmission. AND that I need to replace my spark plugs. I let them replace my spark plugs. 5. Shaking still continued to happen. The manager said - you need to replace your transmission 6. It didn't sound right to me because I have a Hybrid car so I asked my co-worker (Lexus Master Tech)who works at Lexus HQ to come over my house and check my car out. HE found that the bolt on the 4th cylindar was snapped in half and duplicated the shaking by showing me when the bolt pops out when I drive that's how the car starts shaking. He told me he wouldn't touch it because i need to go back to KWICK KAR and ask them why they would let me drive off the lot with this and ANYONE can see that it's a broken bolt, and that he believes they were hustling me to get a transmission when Hybrids don't have transmission that are replaced as the mechanic suggested. 7. Went back to Kwick Kar, the manager acted stunned when I showed him the bolt and this time I brought my finace with me, since it was clear they treat women like idiots. He kept apologizing and said he would make it right. AND he even said "I can't even guarantee that my mechanic replaced your spark plugs because obviously he wasn't honest here" 8. They kept my car for 5 days to fix a snapped bolt!! 9. I got my car back and the very next morning my car sounded like it was a boat, I could hear water gushing in the front of my hood. TLDR: Do not bring your car to Kwik Kar for service or repairs. ANY of them. They are all the same. When a car has high mileage, it's not uncommon to see the inside of a mechanic waiting room. In March 2021, I brought my car to Kwik Kar to diagnose the issue causing the check engine light. We were advised a turbo replacement was necessary. At the time the car was our only vehicle. Purchasing two vehicles at the same time was not feasible, so we decided to replace the turbo. Not a cheap fix. We were assured if anything happened to the turbo within two years, then warranty would cover it. Cue a few weeks ago and the check engine light is on showing a turbo code. I go into Kwik Kar to be told by an employee "The ownership changed. We are no longer corporate owned. We are not honoring any warranty for parts that were replaced more than 6 months ago. Try calling the only one that is still corporate owned." I call this other location. They are very confused, but want to help. This other location contacts the the original Kwik Kar I went to and eventually I'm told to bring the car in. When I bring the car back in their mechanic checks their code reader and has me rev the engine a few times. His diagnosis: "I'm 99% sure you need to replace your turbo." I walk inside to talk to manager. He tells me: "We are not honoring any part warranty over a year." How convenient I tell him. So I ask who else can I talk to. He tells me he will reach out to his District Manager and give me a call. It's been 3 weeks and no one has called me. There were SOOO many cars waiting for service and repairs. Another guy (Caucasian BTW) comes in about 5 mins later and someone comes out immediately with a big smile on his face, friendly, helpful...the whole deal. Standard Oil Change $60.24. What is sad is I worked years ago at a Kwik Kar as well as a collision repair center. I may be female but I know cars. I went here to show My 16 year old Son how to get Oil Change and what it entrails. I get there and noine helps until 8 minutes after we walked in. I said I need a Standard Oil Change. He was like ok I will tell You price after You pull car into bay. No other customers were there at this time. Again I worked and You have the pit guy and the guy up top under hood. So My Son and Me are in lobby and I let Him know they will come in and say You need new filter and whatever else. After watching the guy up top smoking a cigarette as He is leaned over car under hood. Literally asking His cig and smoking right there as He is supposivly checking My fluids ect....Never checked tirePSI, never checked filter until after His boss said I needed a new one and engine Oil was leaking which is not correct due to I had work done on car and never ever have seen Oil leaking or on driveway. Again, He checked the filter while smoking a lit cigarette after they said I needed a new one. None of My fluids were topped off as I know all levels before I went and again tires not checked and as I recall from working at a quick car I am pretty sure they are suppose to vacuum the driver and passenger sides. Anyway. After checking Oil to make sure was new Oil it seems they slacked on actually putting the right amount of quarts. The color showed new Oil but the level was like 1 or 2 courts added only. We never even saw smoking man add oil. He walked around like He was some elite Casanova player man. Quite humorous but very disgusted by the service. Not to mention the hours on the door were good except the closing Mon-Fri Hour was scratched off. The newspaper was from 2023 as well. I came here for a state inspection. I was immediately greeted by a friendly man when I drove up. I let him know what I needed, and he politely directed to the waiting area, and was told to help myself to a drink from the fridge. (Fridge was stocked with water, coke, dr pepper and sprite) There was no wait so within a few minutes they had my car in the bay. There are several guys working here and they were all very friendly. Less than 15 minutes went by and they called me over to my vehicle to show me my air filter. It was dirty and obviously hadn't been changed in a while. They offered to replace for $28.99. When I declined and let them know I would purchase it at another place there was no hard pressure sell. My car had passed inspection and they just wanted to let me know that part needed attention. However, once they got our car in the bay, it went fairly smoothly with minimal upsell (cabin filter, air filter, both of which take 2 minutes as a DIY project). There was definitely a waiting room full of frustrated customers due to the same reason above. I've used this place for multiple oil changes. Each time you can hear employees talking unprofessional to each other, complaining about customers and having to answer the phone ringing. Last oil change the reminder wasn't changed. This time it was a sticker with nothing but mileage handwritten on it. I've changed my own oil over the years and taken to different places as well, never have I gotten an oil change where they don't start the truck and let it cycle through the new filter and check levels again. I have been here a few times to have my vehicle serviced. I have always had positive results and am taken care of. Recently went in to have the guys check out a leak near the back axel and luckily they were able to spot it and resolve the issue. Spoke with the manager and he did not give me the run around etc about the issue. He was to the point and honest. I only come here for an inspection but just be aware that they like to take out your cabin and air filters, put a couple random leaves and debris on them and let you know they should be changed. This is the second time now. After the first time it happened, I checked both before I came, neither of them had leaves of any sort of debris in them, but magically on my 5 min drive they appeared. Note that you don't need either to pass an inspection. It's just a quick way to get a few bucks out of you. 2 stars because they're quick. read more

I went there for an inspection. Upon completion the manager said everything passed EXCEPT your front brakes are worn out and that's why your brake fluid is low. I was under the impression that in order to pass inspection I needed new brakes. When I went to pay for it I asked him if it needed the brakes to pass inspection and he got defensive and insisted he didn't say that. The service manager (they get paid commission) told me my front brakes were paper thin and about to go metal on metal. Watch out for these guys - they pull the "oh, your fluid is dirty - it needs to be changed! " trip. Guess what, I know the fluid only has 20,000 miles on it because I changed it myself. Fluid color is *not* an indication of the life remaining! Unless they send a test sample to the lab, there is no way to tell how the fluid is performing. Sure, get what you need done (inspection, things that don't require more than one bolt, etc.), but don't let 'em scam you. read more

I have used this location for oil changes many times over the last 10 years. This time my daughter took her car in for an oil change in October of 2014, and we will never use Kwik Kar again. I have waited until now to provide my review to ensure that I had all the facts in. We knew that this car had been using some oil between changes. My daughter was in a hurry and needed to leave town in a couple of hours. The attendant noticed that the oil was low when my daughter asked to check the level before the oil was drained. They then told her that there was a crack in the oil pan and it had to be replaced. I was at work and unable to come and inspect the pan myself, like I would normally would do. She called me and I spoke to the attendant and he gave me the price for the replacement oil pan and so on. I had no reason for concern at this point and assumed they had done ample inspection to ensure that this crack really existed. I asked the attendant to leave the old oil pan in the back of the car for me to check out later, and he enthusiastically said "Sure! No problem!" When I got off work, I found out that the oil pan was not left in the back, like the attendant told me would happen, and right then the hair on the back of my neck stood up. I went over to pick up the oil pan right after work and was told, "Oh, I'm sorry, we had to give that to the parts distributor or we would get a core charge." That is when I was certain that something was not right. THERE IS NO CORE CHARGE ON OIL PANS! In fact, I have now confirmed from multiple Kwik Kar locations that oil pans are piled in the corner of the store until some metals recycler comes around to pick them up! And there has been a lot of such oil pans, at times, in the corner at this location! Oh and by the way, I have since talked with numerous parts distributors, including many of the ones that deliver to Kwik Kar, and it is unanimous: "There is NO CORE CHARGE on oil pans!" read more

Avoid this place. They are a huge rip off. I went in to Autozone and got a diagnosis for free, so I knew what was wrong with the car ahead of time. Kwik Kar said oh no that's not useful and they couldn't quote what it would cost to repair unless they Kwik Kar does their own diagnostic test. $79. Only after the charged the money they started rambling off $400 for coolant flush and sensor reset, the also said that my AC blower might be having an issue they said it would cost 4 labor hours to just get to the blower and then only after testing something at that point can determine cost of piece to replace, plus another 3 hours of labor to put the car back together, they said the AC was 1/4 low on Freon and it would cost $65 to put in. Well it's like $1200 to $1500 to get everything fixed.... I said for $1500 I'll trade car in and pay $1500 down on a new car. read more

I was just at this place and I asked for an oil change Mobil 1 and State Inspection. I was about to pull it into the bay and they said just leave it there we need to take it for a drive for brake inspection I told the guy I've never had anyone drive my car for a state inspection. I told him I don't want anyone roasting my rear tires off the some little punk kid said I've driven a Z06 with 700 hp I told them I didn't care cause they weren't driving mine that I'll take it somewhere else. Then this older lady brought her Toyota Camry in and had an oil change and state inspection and they did not drive her car nor ask to drive it! Obviously the wanted to joy ride my Corvette Z06! They then came back in and wanted my insurance card so they could do my inspection!!! They the came in to the Camry owner showing her the air filter and they never once looked at mine probably be because all they needed to do with mine is blow it out with air or had no idea what a black wing air filter was or didn't know how to take it out. My vehicle was done and the manager or the person who was acting like the manager was so rude he did not thank me for my business of over $125 nor did anyone in the garage RUDE! When I got home I had oil dripped all over my car this was the worst place ever will never take my car there again ! Just had my car inspected with no problems about a month ago, but this guy comes in and tells me he will not pass my vehicle unless I get over $1500 worth of repairs. I say Not Possible. He berates me and belittles me for not maintaining my car, which I get oil changes and tune-ups every 3000 miles right on schedule. Very disgusted someone would try and scam me this way. And talk to me in such a demeaning manner. ((This guy had a missing tooth for Pete's sake!!)) Horrible customer service. Worst I have ever been treated and will never return. I brought my car into Frisco Kwik Kar for an oil change service and state inspection on 3/28/18. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by Ibrahim. He was pleasant, friendly and offered to take care of my car service requests. I explained my financial situation and he said he would be able to assist me. As a woman it is not always comfortable to go to car maintenance facilities and not feel as if someone is going to upsale you on services that you may or may not need or can afford. Had an emergency with my wife's car (car overheating) and had to stop in their shop to check my AC, etc...Spoke with Kwame there (manager) who was very courteous and friendly. He told me he would look a the car and get back with me. It turned out that someone (form another mechanic) previously forgot to attach one of the hoses to radiator, explaining why AC was not working properly.
