Came here after a somewhat disappointing dinner a couple doors down. The girl at the counter was really friendly and nice, even though my husband and I wanted to try and bunch of samples. We ultimately settled on the earl grey flavor and a turmeric/cinnamon flavor. I like that the flavors are unique (but most were not too out there for the boring folks) because I hate dropping $6 on two scoops of vanilla or some other ordinary flavor I can grab in the freezer aisle at a grocery store. The chocolate ice cream with cookies is made in house and is very good. My daughter got a rice krispy treat which was ok. I did find the sign on the door very offensive. I had a bizarre experience here over the past weekend - my daughter and I came in to buy scoops for us and my husband, who waited outside with our baby so as not to take up too much of the small space with our baby's stroller. We stood in line for several minutes, and received no greeting from either employee behind the counter, or offer to sample the ice cream flavors, so we moved ahead in line to the register. The employee behind the counter then began offering samples to a group of customers who arrived behind us in the line, and continued to ignore us. I looked directly at the employee and smiled, hoping he would notice we were waiting, and he simply looked back at the other customers and continued waiting for them to taste their samples. We were the only other customers in line, so it would have been easy enough to get us some samples, or at least say "hello, we will help you in a moment", especially since we had been standing in line already! After a few minutes, I asked my daughter if she would rather go somewhere else, and she replied "Yes, I don't want to be ignored any more!" We had a conversation about how important customer service is when you run a business, so even though we didn't get to try the ice cream, at least my daughter learned a lesson about how to treat customers if she ever opens her own business! read more

I got a scoop of hokey pokey in one of their Belgian cones and my girlfriend got a scoop of strawberry. I loved my ice cream, but it wasn't any better than Salt n Straw, and I certainly wasn't blown away by the fries. But I would still give it four stars since the ice cream was really good, if it weren't for my girlfriend's experience. You can sample every flavor of you want but I usually find one I want quickly because they are all really good.
