This place is a wonderful little privately-owned soft serve ice cream place. There are many flavors to choose from, as well as a flavor of the day for both soft serve and frozen yogurt. There are also tons of toppings. My favorite is strawberry and cheesecake ice cream swirled, topped with strawberries and cheesecake bites. My favorite flavor overall was blueberry, which was, sadly, just a flavor of the day. There is a cute Moose theme and tons of moose decorations to look at while you wait for your order. It's small inside so go when the weather is nice; there are also tables outside. Be aware that their peak times are Friday and Saturday evenings, so be prepared to wait in line, which sometimes goes out the door. Lastly, if you have a canine friend at home, ask about for a pup cup, sizes are determined by the size of your dog. Vanilla ice cream and two little milkbone dog treats. Love, love this place!!! The ice cream is delicious, and the owner is always there with a smile and a greeting for my kids. The service is fast, with a wide variety of options. I love the vanilla soft serve cone, dipped in chocolate. My kids usually get a kids' portion of cotton candy, (or another equally colorful flavor), and my husband likes the beautiful banana splits. I ordered a root beer float and it was pretty good (degree of difficulty to make a root beer float isn't too high anyway). I'm leaving this review because I didn't get a good vibe from the employees that were working tonight. I came in on a Wednesday evening , placed my order and received my float. However, the store is pretty small (and slow at the time) so it's pretty awkward when don't greet customers when they come, taking their order without smiling or even trying to be remotely friendly, and then ignoring them on the way out. After working in the service industry, yes I get it maybe you're tired or having a bad day. But the next few guests didn't have a problem being greeted or conversed with. I do not want to insinuate racism and just assume that maybe being in sweats and having bed hair didn't make me presentable but I just found it rude. read more

1st visit ever, friendly staff and the soft serve was good. However things quickly changed when an older white customer came in with his 2 dogs. He sat at a table near me and my children. My 5 yr old was excited about all the moose paraphernalia and he wanted to look at them which were behind this man's seat. The man tells my son to get back. So I told my son to sit down and being 5 he got back up within a few minutes and tried to go back over to the moose. It was then that this man had the audacity to back his chair into my son. I asked what his problem was and he said my son is disturbing his dogs. So I tell him if that's the case then maybe you should take the dogs outside. His reply - my dogs belong here. Huh, and I don't, my children don't? I spoke to the manager and when she seemed as if she was going to defend this man I left with my children. If you care more about dogs than people (paying customers) then you won't be getting my business ever again. 1st impressions are very important. read more

So we were driving through this part of town and. I saw the sign "Frostie Moose." I instantly had to look it up on Yelp to find out what it was! Turns out it was a nice cream shop that had some great reviews! I was sold and had to stop in on our way back from our destination. We were happy we did! Super yummy soft serve. I love soft serve, something that I don't see ever in Loudoun County where we live...other than the chain for-yo places....but it isn't the same. They have several different flavors and of course toppings. They also had milkshakes and sundaes as well. The ice cream was yummo! My kids devoured their cones. I had never seen them eat an entire ice cream anytime ever. My son chose strawberry, my daughter had mint, but I am a twist kinda gal of course all were covered in sprinkles. Both indoor and outdoor seating are a plus. It wasn't too busy when we went, so we found seating easily. If only this was little bit closers certainly would be back for more for sure! read more

It's ok. Really wanted cookies and cream, they didn't have it so I settled for vanilla with crushed Oreo on top. My son got chocolate with chocolate sprinkles which was pretty good and I kept eating. After reading the reviews, I stopped by FM on Sunday afternoon for my first visit. I sampled two selections: cheesecake and raspberry. Raspberry was very good which I choose. I will visit FM again. Service The staff is very friendly. Ice Cream Both selections of cheesecake and raspberry were good. Raspberry is definitely the better of the two flavors. Also, I like that the ice cream is soft serve. One suggestion is to make the place more self service friendly. I prefer the set up in Sweet Frog. I could help myself instead of waiting for the staff to serve me when there is a long line. read more
