I love Frugattis, it's my go to for when I'm craving Italian. I tried their Fitness Baked Chicken Breast and wow!!! Only 580 calories as well, it is so filling and tasty. HOWEVER, I think today was the first time we didn't get decent service. Brianna was nice , but she wasn't checking on anybody. We had to stop her for more bread, to order our drinks & food, the bill, to get the bill, refills... she just wasn't attentive at all. And we waited a decent amount of time for her to do any of those, but we just had to stop her everytime.

Garlic Chicken Fettuccine (added shrimp too)

We came here on Father's Day with a reservation, so it was definitely a busy day. Even with our reservation, we still had to wait to be seated, and once we were seated, it took about 10 minutes before our server came by. The service was a little hit or miss, but given how packed the restaurant was, it was understandable. The food definitely made up for it. The portions are huge! I ordered the garlic Alfredo with both chicken and shrimp, and it was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The spaghetti and meatballs also had fantastic flavor

Came in for a quick lunch date. As always, we are seated fast. Our server was quick and checked on us every chance she walked by. I ordered the garlic chicken fettuccine and the wife ordered the Bolognese and shared a salad. Two glasses of wine too. Everything was delicious, we took what we didn't eat home and had dinner. I would recommend Frugatti's.

This review has been a long time coming. We've been coming to Frugattis since it was at the other location. This location has much better parking and is large and beautiful inside. The hostess and waiters/waitresses are always on top of it and are knowledgeable in the menu and are friendly. Today Dawn helped us and she was great. She was sweet and kept our drinks full as well as made sure we had everything we needed. You will get complimentary bread to start. The food is always great. I usually order the Alfredo with any pasta and it's always perfectly slurpable. The beverages are tasty including the cocktails that get the job done. This place just feels like home and is our favorite Italian restaurant in Bakersfield. Note: You can call ahead to see if you can reserve a spot or be put on the waiting list to minimize your wait during their busy hours.

Service was great liked the ambiance. The pasta was too al dente (all 4 of our dishes). We eat out at Italian regularly in our area (Giuseppes) on the coast seems to be done differently. really liked the carrot cake.

We headed to Frugatti's on Brimhall and it was a great choice. Started with the house salad--fresh and perfectly dressed--then dove into their pepperoni pizza. The crust was spot-on, wood-fired goodness with just the right char. But the real standout was the bread they bring to the table. So fresh, warm, generous portions--could've made a meal out of it alone. Service was friendly and on point, keeping everything moving smoothly. The ambience nails that cozy, authentic Italian vibe--feels welcoming and romantic without trying too hard. Love the setup at the Brimhall spot: nice bar area, spacious takeout section (handy for busy nights). We're already planning the next visit. Definitely a new favorite in Bakersfield.

Finally went to the new location. Ambiance is really fun- big and festive and loud and Italian I went with a friend on a Saturday night and it was some high schools winter formals so there was a long wait and lots of groups of high schoolers, we didn't mind we were fine to wait. We were seated about 25 mins after putting our name in. Our server was stretched a little thin so we'd see her and then she would disappear for a while. I had the fettuccine with filet tips and my friend had tortellini. I had a Chardonnay to pair with my fettuccine. We got fresh warm bread to the table with better which was delicious and had not to devour before our food arrived. I was a little surprised they didn't have more wine by the glass options but I missed their first page of reds and only saw the whites and special Italian wines but even still didn't seem like a ton of nice wines for a nice Italian restaurant My fettuccine was creamy and really hot. The steak tips with it medium and really seasoned well. The Chardonnay was a little sweet, and not my favorite, forgot the name of it but there were only 3 to choose from. We ended with lemon ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. Both were super delicious. I think they've upped their desert game. So good.

My sis in law recommended this place and it was a total hit! After a long drive we came in hungry on a Saturday night and the restaurant was completely full. The wait time was about 40 minutes so we found a spot at the bar and hungry as we were, ended up having dinner there. Portion sizes were very generous and make it easy to share. We ordered way too much food, as usual, and loved our time spent there. At the end of the meal, I was intrigued by the keto cheesecake, and I can honestly say it was the only thing I had that wasn't so good. It came as a small tarte, and had a really bitter flavor to it. I would not recommend it! Everything else was delicious and was plated beautifully. Service was top-knotch, and parking was plentiful as they share a lot with the adjacent hotel. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town!

3.50* I'm not a pasta person. I personally think it's a waste of calories and stomach space. I could think of other foods I'd much rather indulge myself in. However, my wife and children are fanatical about pasta. So, while visiting Bakersfield I decided that I'd find a pasta restaurant that they'd enjoy. Fruggati's was highly regarded. The restaurant itself is amazing looking. The olive trees that decorate the restaurant were beautiful. It was very well lit without being overly bright. Our server was very efficient, and my wife did feel bad because she did have her come to our table more than we normally do with servers. Now to the food. We ordered the bruschetta as an appetizer. Not my favorite thing. It was super briny tasting due to the cappers. It could be my lack of experience with authentic Italian cuisine, but every bruschetta I've had previously was more on the sweet side due to the olive oil and balsamic. This one did not have balsamic, and that may well be how bruschetta is supposed to be served. As my main I ordered the artichoke, bacon, and cherry tomato pizza. I was really looking forward to it and was a little disappointed. It tasted fine. My issue was the pizza dough. I'm more of a thinner and crispy dough type of person. This was more napoleon style. Very soft and floppy. The toppings would just slide off. I guess this was more of a fork and knife type pizza. To be fair the dough was very fresh tasting and under different circumstances or as a bread option it'd be killer. As a personal preference I didn't care for it as pizza dough. If you love pasta please do not let my review deter you. I'm not the audience for this place but it may be worth it for you to try.

I just have to say, this is one of the first restaurants I hit when back in town, since moving to Tennessee!! Here and Jake's Tex Mex! They both have the highest quality of food...they have maintained their standards for decades!! Love both restaurants! So delicious! (The Alfredo sauce is the best I've ever tasted). The food is amazing!! They have leaner options and high protein dishes. I got the baked chicken with rosemary potatoes and asparagus. I wasn't expecting to be impressed, but I was! Best chicken breast I tasted anywhere. It was so tender and flavorful. The service was so accommodating. We ended having 2 more added to our table and quickly got us a bigger table. I love this place. If you are looking for some delicious well made Italian food, you have come to the right stop. This place has been here for many years. They are doing something right. I've never had a bad experience here and I've been coming here for many years. They are on the little more expensive side but its so well worth your money. They so have some great lunch specials and a beautiful room you can rent for a party or meeting. Some of my favorite dishes are the calzone, spaghetti and meatballs, the shrimp fettuccine, and there Frugatti's specialty sandwich. They also have really good desserts like the zabaglione! So i recommend trying this place if you want some good Italian food. Also a great place for a romantic time out. read more

Once again, I was in Bakersfield from Los Angeles on business again and I felt like Italian... did a quick Yelp search and Frugatti's came up. High reviews so I decided to check it out. There's plenty of parking and seating inside and the hostess and my waitress were very nice. The restaurant boasts that they have been voted the best Italian restaurant in Bakersfield and that might be true...in Bakersfield lol. This places food tastes more like the Olive Garden from what I'm usually used to in Los Angeles and Frugatti's exorbitant prices doesn't match the quality of their food. As in, for the same prices, I can get handmade pasta that's not reheated and dumped on a plate. Trust me, when the plate comes out hot and the outside of my plate's ravioli's are lukewarm and the middle are hot, that means they nuked it in the microwave. As an appetizer, I ordered the Apple Smoked Bacon Asparagus. This was good, mostly because I love bacon and asparagus and what better way to start your meal with the combination of both?!? There was also complimentary bread that came out. Unfortunately, it was a bit stale so I only had a few bites and didn't want to spoil my appetite on not so great bread. For my entree portion, as mentioned above, I ordered the ravioli with meat sauce. The presentation wasn't great but I didn't care. The plate was hot so I knew it had been put in the microwave. The ravioli bites were cooked fine but I couldn't get passed the fact that some were lukewarm and some were hot. I was so hungry though and didn't have the energy to complain and wait for a different dish that I did eat it all. I mean, it wasn't complete crap but just meh. Maybe I should've just ordered a pizza and possibly had some better luck there but who knows because I won't be back. High prices and sweet staff but I just can't get over the fact that the main dish was something similar that one can get out of a box, including the fact that the ravioli's had different temperatures. Call me a snob, I don't particularly give a shit. I come from a city where there are over 300 Italian restaurants so I AM spoiled in that aspect. But alas, this snooty guy won't be returning. Best of luck to them. Doesn't seem like they need it though because they were pretty busy on a Thursday. read more

Updating my review: While we were waiting for our pickup order we decided to go to the bar and have a drink. Please please please improve your bar area!! A VERY small bar with 5 bar stools is all you get. Sometimes we like to just sit in the bar have drinks and maybe some lite bites but you can't here. And PLEASE for the love of God improve your alcohol choices. Only having Cuervo Gold as a tequila is awful. The bartender was a 20something red haired guy, he was awesome!!! But it seemed like every other person that came through was asking for a drink with a liquor choice that was above the bottom of the barrel. Your Nonna's Carrot cake Best carrot cake ever! I picked up 4 pieces last week as my brother wanted "homemade" carrot cake for his birthday. I kind of missed my window for baking and it was a HOT day so I cheated and went to Frugatti's (my girlfriend Lisa Abril in Vegas said it was the BEST) and it was scrumptious! The cream cheese frosting was sooo good and it was moist and covered with pecans. I don't think my homemade cake would have been this good honestly. Plus the employees were so nice! My rave is about Laura our waitress... She was so friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and made an excellent recommendation (red pepper shrimp fettuccine)... Laura was quick with refills and continuously asked if we were doing good.... She didn't share until the end that it was her last day of training... SeusyBites here!! Today I tried out the Garlic Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo Pizza. Let me just say it was amazing! Let's starts with the dough. It's was freshly baked and very soft. Softer than a baby's buttcheck type of soft. The sauce and cheese complemented each other well. I can't name a better duo besides me and my señorita. I will never give this place less than 5 stars EVER! We go way back with Ralph since the beginning of this restaurant. Just a wonderful place to enjoy authentic Italian Cuisine, from the steaks, lasagna, pizzas the creamy garlic salad dressing it's all amazing. We always ask for a warm bowl of marinara to dip the homemade bread brought to your table when you are seated. Don't get me started on the desserts so yummy. I hope if you haven't been here you think about stopping in it does get busy and they don't do reservations for regular size parties only for large groups. But it is worth it! read more

Current review from tonight: 3 stars Went out on a date for two and the servers were all over the place, though extremely sweet. My pizza was sent back after they put mushrooms on it (the server apologized and made a new one but didn't offer anything to make up for it on our bill and we waited for an hour for that). Brought out Alfredo with my husband's Chicken Parmesan and forgot to bring the regular marinara with penne pasta and we had to ask 15 minutes later. We sat at the bar which we love, but lots of mistakes tonight. The food was good, just took a very long time for them to get it right. They were sweet but discombobulated. Had to fix the bill twice. Wish communication would be better amongst staff. Previous review from a few months ago: 4 Stars Went here for dinner and I found out they import their flour from Italy and make their own breads, pasta and pizza dough. This is huge for me as my body can process flour from Italy (not any from the US due to toxicity levels of pesticides). So being able to eat a pizza that isn't gluten free, is heaven. Just left off the cheese due to an allergy, but topped it with everything else. So good! It's amazing that my joints and throats don't cramp or tighten. Their pizzas are delicious. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs as they ran out of Chicken Parmesan, but he said it was good. Also I enjoy their Moscato very much and highly recommend it. We sat at the bar because it was so busy. Left off one star because the lasagna was awful the previous time we went and this time we watched them microwave it... so glad we got the pizza and spaghetti this time. Just a heads up on that one. I do remember the steak is so delicious though (from our previous visit). read more

I was born and raised in Bakersfield and left for school. I have never tried Frugatti's until a return trip to visit family recently. If I knew Frugatti's had such great pasta, perhaps I never would have left town in the first place. The wife and I shared the fantastic meatball lasagna. Would definitely recommend. First time there tonight, and they did take a while to seat us but we were a big party. Other than that our waiter was theeee best! Very attentive, patient and friendly! I don't remember his name tho, he was the red head with the mustache lol. He did awesome! He deserves a raise! My food was good! After tonight I asked myself why I haven't been here in so long. The food was delicious!. But what made my meal so much more enjoyable was our SUPER AMAZING server Cade who made the experience so much more! Talk about a person who is not only attentive to my family but also made recommendations to us. He was funny and truly just loves what he does here. We ordered food from door dash from here our food was not good at all I got the Alfredo pasta no Alfredo sauce just noodles our other order of the chicken in cream sauce was refrigerator cold so disappointed here we spent $100.00 for nothing we ended up throwing all the food away and had a sandwich for dinner very sad. read more

I'm so glad we put Frugatti's back into the lineup during the pandemic! Whether it's for lunch or dinner, the food is consistently great. I recommend the creamy Italian salad dressing. The appetizer platter heartily feeds two, possibly three. My go to meal is the Roasted Red Pepper Pesto Chicken with Sun Dried Tomatoes. Be sure to request feta cheese on the side if you're not a fan. Their house Merlot (Costal Vines) is mild enough to have two glasses. Our recent visit was on a night that they were trying out new seating software. One hostess didn't appear to be feeling very well, yet she and the other hostess were more than apologetic for the long wait time; they exemplified thoughtfulness. Sadly some patrons were being demanding and rude to a food server and trying to make bizarre bartering deals (sometimes I wish people would be asked LEAVE establishments). Speaking of food servers...the servers and wait staff at Frugatti's are PHENOMENAL. On multiple occasions, I've observed servers to be efficient, attentive, and incredibly hard working. I cannot say enough kind words about the servers! Management would be wise to remind employees that congregate indoors at the register/food prep area, to stop touching their face masks so often and to change out the gloves if they're touching all surfaces and food with the same gloves. Obviously I wasn't too skeezed out, because I've ordered food twice this week. I prefer to pick up food to go, but I'm glad there is outdoor seating available. Updating my review! I'm still giving Frugattis 5 stars because they're still the best Italian food in town in my opinion. The restaurant has recently done some renovating. They added a bar in the back, along with a "wine cave." Very cute! I was with a party of 8 on my last visit and we were sat in the wine cave along with another large party. Upon entering the room I noticed the table of ladies all had drinks and were very very loud. I thought oh that's ok! We're not going to be very close to them, we'll still be able to enjoy our dinner. Nope. The wine cave has no acoustic absorption what-so-ever. It was very loud. My daughter had her ears covered the whole time that party was there. I couldn't hear the people I was sitting next to. It was bad. They eventually left and we were finally able to enjoy ourselves and the beauty of the room! Now I'll forever love their zucchini mushroom lasagna, but this time I had the spinach manicotti and it was so creamy and cheesy and delicious! Why must you do this Frugattis?! This will make things 100x harder for me on my next visit! read more

We found fresh packed tomatoes from the Cortopassi family in Modesto, Ca. - one of the most expensive tomatoes on the market but also the best. Our cold pressed extra virgin olive oil comes from the Verni Olive Oil Company, established in 1923 in the small Italian village of Sannicandro Di Bari, then brought to Clovis Ca. in 1980 by second generation grower Saverio Verni, and still made the same way their family made it in Italy. My name is Raffaele Giovanni Fruguglietti (you can call me Ralph) and I'd like to welcome you to Frugatti's Italian Restaurant and Catering, where we offer the best Italian dining experience and Italian catering services in Bakersfield, California. With the help of our dedicated staff, we want to offer the best Italian dining experience in Bakersfield and I'm lucky enough to know what a real Italian dining experience should be! Growing up in Grumento Nova, Italy, I remember going with my mother to the local baker's shop on weekends to use his wood-burning oven to bake our bread and pizza. "Nonni," as my kids called my mom, was an incredible cook and to this day, her pizza remains the best I've ever tasted. She instilled in me a love of Southern Italian cooking that became the inspiration for Frugatti's.

There is plenty of seating and the lighting is dim. Establishment is really clean. I ordered wings and wedges. Wing flavors I ordered garlic parm & Frank's red hot are lacking sauce but the flavor is excellent. The wedges are massive and have great texture and flavor. The ketchup is basic ketchup nothing special and the ranch suited both flavors perfectly. I'll have to return to try out the pizza but the four stars is because the lack of sauce, other than that good wings & good wedges.

So I'm just standing there, with our pizza done and ready getting cold sitting up on top of their oven, not out on the counter where the sign says pizza is placed when it's done. While I'm standing there waiting for the customer in front of me to finish ordering and paying, another employee comes out to the checkout counter, makes eye contact with me but turns his back and starts sorting ranch. He could have easily just grabbed our finished pizzas and breadsticks and brought it out to me since we had already paid online, or maybe even just asked, "how can I help you?" Any of the many times he made eye contact with me, but he didn't. I was completely ignored. It was finally my turn to get some help. I asked where the pizza is kept once it's finished, so the server pointed to the top of the oven where they pulled our pizza down from. The pizza wasn't even warm enough to feel heat coming from the boxes when they handed them to me. Why I had to wait for others to come in and kick the kitchen staff into customer- service mode is beyond me, unless their kitchen staff is all racist? What other reason could this behavior be? Staff should be rushing to the counter to help every customer the same. So tell me why I was ignored the way I was, yet the kitchen staff rushed in to provide service to other people before me as soon as they walked in? This pizza isn't good enough to be eating it cold and hard after being treated poorly by staff. Get rid of the sign instructing online orderers to have a seat and wait if you're not going to assist customers sitting in your dining room.

The Main Event: This time around, I went with the En Fuego Burger. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. I found myself searching for both the carrot and ginger flavors, neither of which really stood out. The beet and goat cheese salad was fine, but it's hard to get too excited about a salad. Overall, the food felt subpar compared to what I've come to expect from Moo Creamery. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.

Have not had a dinner at Frugatti's in yrs. for no apparent reason. Tonight we were working late on yr. end taxes with staff- we had Roadrunner bring us an array of things from Frugatti's to make it through the evening. WOW!!! Everything was beyond fantastic. stuffed mushroom were big an plump with awesome stuffing, Shrimp Scampi had a heavenly light sauce, Lemon Basil Halibut had great flavor, moist and firm, Lamp Medallions (husband is a Connoisseur of) were moist, flavorful and out of this world, Pizza Napolitano was wonderful, light and much flavor and very thin as we like. Minestrone soup was the best ever, had wonderful fresh flavor without being consumed with a million grams of salt like most places prepare. It was difficult to share between all of us because we each loved our own choices but loved everyone else's. Even with sharing with each other, portion sizes were ample and we all have enough left over for a nice lunch tomorrow, or as my hubby says, maybe late night snack. When time permits we are so looking forward to enjoying dinning at this restaurant and really look forward to having the joy of hearing live music "accordion". Hope he is there the night we come. Until our schedule allows the luxury of a lovely lingering dinner at Frugatti's we will definitely have Road Runner deliver this superb food to us at home. I recently attended the wine pairing dinner at Frugatti's featuring wines from Sculpterra Winery, and it was a fun and memorable evening. The atmosphere seemed pleasant, the staff kept everything running smoothly, and the food and wine pairings made for an enjoyable night out. One of the highlights of the evening was that I was seated at the winemaker's table with his family. It was such a nice experience to be able to speak with them throughout the dinner, hear stories about the winery, and learn more about their winemaking process. That personal connection added a special touch to the event and made it feel much more intimate. Of all the wines served, the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc was the clear standout for me. It was bright, crisp, and incredibly drinkable. The best dish of the night was the Chicken Parmesan, which was prepared wll and packed with a ton of flavor. And then there was dessert. Nothing can beat Frugatti's Mudslide Cheesecake made with Kahlua. Rich, creamy, and indulgent. It was the perfect finale to an already excellent meal. My only complaint was the seating in the wine cave. While it created a unique atmosphere, we were packed in pretty tightly, like sardines! A little more elbow room would have made the experience even more comfortable. read more

The food is great but the customer service, not so much....... Valentines Day. I called to reserve a family meal for pick up but after being on hold for several mins I was told to leave a message and then sorry the mailbox was full. So I went online to place the order. I got two $25 gift cards for Christmas that I wanted to use but there was not an option for gift cards when placing the order. I thought no biggie, they can just adjust the balance when I pick up the order. Was told sorry, they can't do that. I asked them if they could just refund the transaction and use the gift cards. Sorry, they can't. I was told they could only use the gift cards if I came in person to place the order. I was pretty torqued. When I placed the order it was 2:20pm and est. pick up was 60 mins. I went to pick it up at 4:20pm and it still wasn't ready! Can you imagine the wait time if I had gone and placed the order in person! If you order online and you have gift cards, be warned...........you're outta luck! read more

I recently dined at Frugatti's Italian restaurant, and while the food was fantastic, there were a few service hiccups that affected the experience. We had a reservation, but still had to wait about 45 minutes to be seated, which was a bit frustrating. Once seated, our server seemed a bit scattered, and we ended up waiting around 15 minutes just to get our waters, followed by another 10 minutes for bread. We finally ordered, and then had to wait about 40 minutes for our meals to arrive. That said, the food itself was worth the wait. The portions were generous, and everything we ordered was delicious. The flavors were spot on, and you definitely get a lot for your money. My only suggestion is that the restaurant could benefit from more staff to ensure a smoother dining experience, as the long waits definitely took away from the overall enjoyment. Overall, I'll definitely be back, but next time I'll make sure to come with a half full stomach to handle the long wait! read more

If you're looking for a dry, overpriced Fetuccine Alfredo (or as our server said: "Just noodles and sauce?) then Frugatti's is the just the spot for you. Fetuccine Alfredo is as basic as it gets for Italian food. if a restaurant can't get that one right, they might as well give it up. I managed to eat three or four bites of it when I finally just gave up. The amount of food left on my plate should have been some kind of signal to the server that something wasn't right but that light never went on; instead, he asked if I wanted a "box." When I said "no," there was another signal that went flying by. Instead, I had to tell him "no" three times; once should have been enough. Typically, I don't decide to go out for dinner because I'm in the mood for an argument with a server. Once is enough for Frugatti's. Ridiculous prices don't make the food good; good food makes the prices not matter. read more

5 star isn't enough. From the ambiance, to the staff, and the food! Walking up we were worried about how long it would take to seat a party of 7. It was minutes! Alley was our waiter and he was so personable, remembering our friends name and using my throughout the meal. He had great recommendations and information on the menu. Our glasses were never empty or even low. The bread, Parmesan, oil and vinegar were a great start. We had their 3 best appetizer to start. The meals... wow! Huge portions! Great flavor! The kitchen staff has it down as everything was perfect. Even when we asked for bo bell peppers, they remembered. No one was disappointed in their food. And for the amount of food, the price was perfect. You could get away sharing a plate as everything was so large. When we're in town for drag boat racing, we'll be back. This is my go to for pasta! We like to come here for special occasions. Like this last time, it was my cheat day! The sevice is spot on. Our waiter brought everything in record time, including fresh cracked pepper. Even when the restaurant started getting packed, he never forgot us. Ordered Theresa's favorite, it's a wondeful pasta dish and starting to be my personal go to! Its a great balance of creamy and tang! The portions are also large. I passed out when i was waiting for my table: they were so kind and accommodating to me!! I had no idea why i passed out at the time; but i found out later it was due to a longstanding heart and lung issue, i wasn't getting enough oxygen. Regardless they got me some bread to snack on Incase it was diabetic (it wasn't) related. They were so kind. My first time coming was with my former boss. I have to say if he didn't pay both times i probably never would have been able to try this place! It's pretty pricy but the food is AMAZING!! Frugatti's has become a favorite for my partner and me. The food was not just delicious; it was amazingly so. The overall experience, from the food to the service, surpassed my expectations. The atmosphere was exceptional, creating a perfect setting for a delightful evening. Our family eats here about once every two weeks, usually for dinner. The location is very convenient, at the corner of the Truxtun extension and Coffee Road. It's family-friendly, but there are also usually a lot of couples there. The owner, Ralph Fruguglietti, was born in Italy and really knows how to make delicious Italian food. My favorite is the Thai Chicken Pasta. They also have a "fitness menu" which offer many healthy choices. The service is great and the live accordion music is wonderful to listen to. read more

Just moved to Bakersfield and we eat out a lot. So I jumped on yelp to find a good Italian which is a necessity. the pizza was out of this world. I think the wood burning oven really makes a difference. The crust was crispy but still held a lot of topings without getting soggy. The food is good enough, although I seem to remember it being better as a child when their sister restaurants bootleggers (ahead of its time) and Giovanni's in shafter were still open. The price points don't make sense to me, but they offer a great atmosphere, and incredible desserts along with a cool ambience.
