We have tried several entrees and the cucumber lime agua fresca from the Whittier location, and have been impressed with everything (except the rice, not so good) we have had to date. To start, for those who miss the cucumber limeade from Cilantros Tacos, Fuego Cravings has a really good cucumber lime agua fresca that is a great replacement. The food had been consistently good, we have always ordered delivery and have not had issues with food quality, appearance or temperature of each order. We have had street tacos with carne asada, carnitas, and chicken, and although all three are good, I prefer the carnitas. The fish taco is a healthy portion of fish with a very flavorful, creamy chipotle sauce that adds a nice little hint of spice. The Campechano Taco is really good, but rich/very savory. The birria mulita is good and flavorful but keep in mind that it does not come with any consume on the side. The birria ramen is excellent, but for takeout, I recommend asking for the ramen noodles on the side, since they were a little overcooked on the delivery. Finally, the surf-and-turf bowl is the bomb! It's a good portion of shrimp and meat (we got the carne asada), but it feels like a lighter meal. Be aware that this one is a little spicier than the fish taco, but it's so worth it. read more

My coworker and I came across this birria restaurant during lunch time and decided to give it try. There are many items on the menu and we were not sure what to order. Thanks to this lad Raul that worked there and he helped us browse around and explore the menu. I was feeling something brothy, so we eventually decided on birria ramen , 2 tacos (fish, asada) and a quesadilla. Food was fire and did not disappoint at all ! Nice choice of music that they are playing in the air as well. The burritos are not even rolled properly, they seem to be lacking filling and when you do bite into it it's mainly beans and rice with the least amount of meat. The meat is full of fat and hard parts. Not edible in my opinion. I even asked for green sauce in the burritos when ordering and of course they missed it again. (My order was to go so I could not mention it) but when you call they don't answer either. I asked for lemons and radishes and the girl literally gave me 1 slice of lemon. We had to make my wife and daughter dinner from home. Rereading the issues we had, I really sound like I'm slamming the restaurant. Ordered the Whittier burrito, when I got it noticed how heavy the bag was so I was hoping it would have a good protein:carb ratio. When I opened it at home and took a bite it was very carb heavy. Unfortunately for 2025 even for $15 thats just the way things are (especially at chains) If they have a double protein option I'd pay extra because paying close to $20 after tax and tip what's $5 more to have an amazing burrito. I haven't been inside the restaurant yet, but I did order online to give it a try. Unfortunately, the asada burrito was disappointing. Got some quesabirria tacos along with some asada tacos and some rice and beans. It really was fuego. Outstanding taste, nice and hot, and the beans even reminded me of the old El Oso beans I used to get as a kid. First time at Fuego. It is a small restaurant with approx. 8-12 tables inside and 4-5 tables outside. You will order at the counter and food will be brought to your table. My hubby ordered the Birria taquitos, which includes 4 taquitos with some consome. I ordered one Campache taco, which is a taco filled with chopped carne asada mixed with chorizo, on two corn tortillass. Also ordered one shrimp taco. Hubby's Birria taquitos were delicious, great Birria flavor.I loved the Campeche taco and would definitely order again. I would pass on the shrimp taco. To had way to much sauce on it and the shrimp was lost in all the sauce. To drink I had a cucumber lime agua Fresca and it was just perfect.
