Garbage... The basil fried rice was mush and the basil was stringy and bitter. The crab Rangoon was so large that all you tasted was cream cheese and fishy imitation crab. The garlic pepper chicken was ok, very mediocre, reminded us of a street fair stir fry. I would advise against ordering from Fuji Thai at all costs. Best Thai food in the Chicago suburb. We dine in and take out food quite regularly. They have lunch specials which are pretty decent and a good amount. Lunch special comes w appetizer and soup of your choice. We usually get pad see yu w potstickers and Tom yum soup (one order), and fried rice with miso soup from sushi and kitchen combo( the chef adds 3 pieces of sushi and 8 pieces of California roll to your order). We tried a lot of other food too. Basil fried rice, curry fried rice, yellow curry, awesome roll, Chicago white socks roll, spicy salmon roll, sexy summer roll, khaosoy, crab rangoon, thai iced tea etc. They are all good. Everything we tried so far is well balanced in taste. Nothing is too spicy, too sweet, too salty, too sour, or too bitter. The cook knows how to cook just right and balance the flavors. Out of all the rolls we tried, awesome roll is our family's first choice. It is fresh, spicy and unique. It comes with cilantro, jalapeño and lime juice. Curry fried rice is the best of three fried rice we tried. Khaosoy is similar to yellow curry but with fried crispy noodles. Very unique and tasty but I still like yellow curry over rice better as the fried noodles gets soggy after a while cuz the yellow sauce is poured over it. Service is also awesome!! My order never got mixed up or forgotten. Price. It's a little pricy than regular thai restaurants. Lunch special is $10~$12, Rolls are $11~$13. read more

About two years ago I absolutely could not eat sushi. I found nothing that I liked until I stumbled upon this place with my girlfriend. This is the BEST place to get sushi. If you're in the Buffalo Grove area, this is pretty much the best you're going to get for Thai food from an independent place. It's nothing amazing nor special but it'll at least satisfy any Thai craving you have. I consistently order either the Pad See Ew (beef), Panang Curry, or Pad Thai. Maybe I'm just playing it safe, but it shouldn't hard to mess any of these dishes up. All my orders have been similar and have been correct. The Pad See Ew is a bit on the saltier side but nonetheless, it satisfies my Thai craving when I go. The setting is a decent size but it will not large party friendly for those wishing to go at any lunch or dinner rushes. Parking is available and abundant. Service is average - nothing special. 4/5 stars as the food is good but overall not the best Thai you'll ever have. read more

I love this family owned place a lot. Service is fast and friendly. I've only had a handful of their dishes but every single time I ordered it, the taste was super consistent. The house made ginger dressing for the salad is the most delicious ginger dressing I've ever had. The thing is that I do not like ginger AT ALL but it was so delicious and balanced that it made me like it only specifically in that dressing. Same goes for their house-made peanut sauce, it is better than any peanut sauce i've attempted to make at home. I recommend buying containers of their ginger dressing and peanut sauce to take home and keep in your fridge, it is THAT GOOD. Only items I've had were pad thai (my favorite, and probably the best pad thai I've ever had) chicken satay, and one of their curries (can't remember) plus the appetizers. Everything was delicious and the curry was alright but that is only because I prefer taste of Korean curry over anything else. Highly recommend this authentic Asian restaurant. I used to love this place, their sushi is tasty and it's never super crowded. After a trip to Thailand, I realize that their Thai food is not up to par. The oyster sauce in my Pad See Eiw tasted like it was burnt and the noodles in the Pad Thai were rubbery and not cooked enough. I know that nothing will compare to the country of origin but this was just gross.The sushi is consistently good so I may have returned for it but the last time I was in, their chopsticks were moldy. The sushi stinks, I mean I'm just not a fan of sushi at thai places and even then I prefer Oishii Thai's sushi which is right across the street. We got their sushi/Thai lunch special and we loved it - Miso soup, 3 pieces nigiri, 8 pieces California roll, and a Thai dish. I chose pad thai, which was good, but my wife had pad see ewe that was amazing! Pad see ewe is my wife's favorite Thai dish and she says theirs is the best she's ever had! I have eaten here several times. All were different experiences. Their sushi is eh ok (but I am a sushi snob soooooo). Thai food is good. They have pictures for everything so this would be a good place to take a first timer of sushi or Thai. Service has always been great. Went here on Friday night. Service prompt and friendly. Tempura obviously from frozen sticks--- shrimp was pasty. Bubble tea good but small for prices charged. Fish for sushi was good. Thai green curry good, but chicken overcooked and a bit dry. Pad thai was inferior. Noodles were hard, and sauce was so so. I have only tried this place once so far but it was pretty good, probably the best I have had in the area. We ordered vegetable fried rice and rama tofu. Aside from the portion being a bit small, the fried rice was awesome. The rama tofu came with very little peanut sauce but when I called them, without any hesitation, they quickly delivered more. I went here on a whim with a friend of mine yesterday and thought the food was delish! Nigiri is 1.75/piece which i find a great price, and the rolls were great. I had the spider roll and spicy tuna hand roll - both tasted great, and the spicy tuna was SUPER spicy - just how i like it! They also serve bubble tea, but I found it too sugary and not as good as other places i've had it at. Price-wise was okay (the hand roll was 5.95, and the spider roll just under 10 dollars) and if you want extra sauce, you have to pay for it which i don't love, but I thought the sushi was great. Promising beginning...disappointing ending. First time to visit. The restaurant is small, but nicely decorated and clean. It presents very well. My wife, kids, and I visited on a Thursday night. At 6PM, there were very few patrons, but by 7PM, the restaurant was over half full. We ordered Sweet Potato Rolls, Chicken Satay, Egg Rolls, Panang Curry, and Phad Thai. My wife really liked the Sweet Potato Rolls. The Egg Rolls were awesome...fresh, cooked perfectly. The Sweet/Sour Sauce had an apricot flavor to it. I helped my 4-year-old remove a satay from a stick, and could tell it was very tender. He had to go to the little boys' room (which was clean). Returning to the table, I said to myself "I just might have to give these guys 5-stars on Yelp!". I jinxed it...from there things went downhill. My curry arrived with tofu instead of chicken (which they fixed). Both the curry and phad thai were pretty mediocre...disappointing, actually. Most Thai restaurants do much better. My dish came with rice...but not much rice. It was the size of a scoop of ice cream. Of course, the whole family wanted rice (my wife is Asian), so we got 2 extra scoops of rice (@ $2.00 each). C'mon...rice is cheap. A serving costs less than $0.11 to make (based on a 20 lb. bag of Jasmine rice at Wal-Mart)...they probably get it cheaper...and they only gave us about half of a "serving" each time. I finished up the satay, and while the chicken was cooked well, it had little flavor, and the peanut sauce was not very good. Not sweet (I enjoy most peanut sauce by itself...but not this), and it had an overabundance of ginger. Appetizers are $5 - $7 and most entrees $9 - $13.
