I wanted to write a review to help anyone buying their stuff out. I ordered a simagic wheel base from them. First and foremost, Evan was very cordial and friendly. I'd recommend working with him. I can confirm I received the full order and everything is in new and working condition. One thing to note, is they have a very strict return and cancellation policy with a high restocking fee (35%). I understand a small business needs to protect itself, but given the many negative reviews, I think they should re-evaluate this. My experience was I ordered my wheel base. it didn't ship out within the 5 business days they stated, but I ended up reaching out to Evan to switch for a different product anyway so it worked out. Took another couple of days to get the order out and I shared my concerns with them based on these reviews and BBB complaints. In the end, they followed through with the order and delivered in 2 days once it shipped. Free shipping too. My reason for deducting 1 star is I think the return and cancellation policy is strict and more bottom dollar protection than client protection. I also think 5 business days to ship something out is a bit much considering other small outfits can ship out much quicker. That said, I caused a ruckus with them because of these negative reviews and informed them of my concerns of getting scammed. They followed through and delivered on their end, so no complaints from me on that as I'm the one who caused the situation to arise. I order an Alpine TRX sim racer on 15 August. After the order was in processing status after 10 days I gave them a call. They were responsive, and told me that they would look into it. I called again at 21 days, Charles let me know that the orgin company was having issues. This was confirmed by Trak racer us on reddit. We spoke continuously after this conversation. Things were resolved on 17 September, I received my order status update and confirmation codes. I also had an issue with FEDEX, they delivered to the wrong state. After 2 weeks, I was informed by the owner Charles that they had made a mistake on the pricing. He then said he would not honor the sale price saying, "I am the owner of a small business." I talked to him on two occasions before this to inquire as to why the item had not shipped. He told there was a ten day lead time on shipments without ever trying to tell me there was a price discrepancy. Function Factory Performance should have honored the sale price. The owner, Charles, was willing to take a hit to his, and his company's reputation over the lost revenue rather than doing the right thing. I'm going to go against the grain on this one. I ordered a $650.00 Carbon Fiber hood scoop for my Ford Raptor. After two weeks, I hadn't heard anything and tried to call. I was placed on hold for 40 minutes and gave up. Later, I tried again and just left it on hold while I worked in the garage, waiting for someone to pick up. Eventually, the call was hung up at the other end. I went online and happened to see all these negative reviews and thought I would be in for a battle to get my part. I sent an email and requested that my order be cancelled. The email was answered saying they had been swamped by Black Friday orders and phone issues. This was Monday and they said my part would ship by Wednesday. When I read through the reviews, it seems others were getting the same story. I had purchased the part with my capitol One card and figured I would have to wait until Friday and give them a chance to ship before I tried to dispute the charge. Well.....on Tuesday evening, I got a notice they had created a label, which can be done without really shipping the part. However, the next day, the part was at FedEx and enroute. I placed an order on Thursday 12/2/21 after chatting with Taylor in regards to some headlights. I was told that they'd get back to me and ensure they're in stock but said they should be. Because the lights were hard to find, I placed the order and never heard back if they were in stock. A few business days later, I chatted with Taylor again after sending an email and getting no reply. I was told that the headlights were in stock. After 5 business days and another email not responded to, I chatted with Taylor and was told that my headlights are still processing and tracking would be provided soon. The estimate was vague something like this week or next week. I emailed the company 3x and never got an email reply. Their website states that orders will be shipped next day. The order confirmation email says 3 business days to be shipped. After 6 business days (12/13), I called to cancel my order. I was told by customer service that there was confusion with the warehouse and they didn't know if the headlights were even in stock! I was told I would receive an email confirmation for the refund. I did not receive any email communication that day. I called the next day and was told same thing. And I called the next day and was finally given a refund and received a refund confirmation email. Of course the customer service rep did not mention the $64 that they shorted me. I filed a credit card dispute because this is terrible customer service. There's still no proof that they even had the headlights in stock especially since they never once emailed me or gave me an update. The owner replied to my Google review but never actually did anything. I've updated my review to reflect my entire experience and posted on various website to warn other buyers! 12/20: Donnie called me and apologized about the $64 that was shorted and said a refund was issued. He told me I was indeed ordering the incorrect part and told me what the correct part was. So, I ordered what he said I needed. He failed to mention there was choice of finishes on the carbon fiber splitter he was sending. when it arrived, it was not the same as the other carbon fiber parts I had on my car. He said I could return them, but there would be a 15% restocking fee plus the cost of the shipping label. I told him that was not ok, since he fail to properly represent the product. He never said another word regarding a restocking fee is shipping label. He did send an email telling what my refund would be with the difference in the cost of the correct part. It was around $112. However, he went ahead and deducted the 15% restocking fee plus the shipping label, leaving with about $12 for refund. He made unauthorized charges on my credit card after telling me differently. Do not recommend this company under any circumstances. I placed an order for a backordered item - despite the backorder, the amount was immediately charged to my payment method (most reputable companies charge on ship date). I realized only a few days later that I did not want the item and requested a refund... FFP was nice enough to issue me a refund MINUS 25% of the cost of the item, because it must have been a very complicated process to cancel the order of an item that isn't in stock and probably not even in the process of being made. Given the circumstances I don't think it was justified to charge a 25% order cancelation fee which is my whole complaint with the company. They must be hurting financially and using that to take advantage of their customers. I hope FFP understands that the $100 they managed to get out of me canceling my order only caused them to lose many thousands of dollars in sales from expensive car parts that I would have purchased in the future. When the weekend came and went with no shipping info I was concerned and called them. I did speak with them and was told they were having some shipping issues and it would go out that week, I then searched the company and saw all these bad reviews and thought oh S**t! Anyway a label was created the next day and to my surprise the shipment was picked up and actually headed my way. I received the shipment 3/10 which was 2 weeks from the date I made the order, it was packaged well and good quality. Things happen and I get that, 2 weeks isn't bad and they had the best price out there. All in all they were responsive and got my order to me in a reasonable time. They may have had some issues in the past but most companies have had a hard time recovering from supply issues since Covid, my situation went pretty well and as a small business owner myself I felt I needed to actually submit a review. I waited one week and didn't get another email with a tracking number so I called them. The guy that answered, told me to send him the tracking number via email which I did.
