We went to Fusion Concord to celebrate Father's Day and honestly, it was such a disappointing experience. We waited 2 hours to be seated, and once we finally got a table, not even 20 minutes into eating, one of the staff (who didn't have a name tag) came over and rudely told us we only had 15 minutes left because they were busy. She was so unprofessional and disrespectful, and it completely ruined our mood and appetite. We just wanted to enjoy our meal with family, but she kept interrupting us, and we noticed other customers were also upset and complaining. Staff is very efficient and friendly - from the check counter, to the usher, to the person who collects used plates and to the other staff. Good variety of food with good flavors - it is really a fusion from different Asian and American cultures. The restaurant is kept clean with staff frequently sweeping and making sure everything is alright. Prices are quite reasonable for what you get. This was our second visit (today's her birthday) and my wife is now saying that we should now visit every week or two. read more

Was NOT expecting this to be this horrible.. I would give it a 0 star but at least they had decent ice cream flavors, despite there being chunks of ice in them. After seeing all of these reviews, I was expecting this $30 PER PERSON dinner to be better than decent. They had a small variety of chinese food which all tasted very bland. They also had seafood in trays, on ice but only really offered crab and shrimp. This was not worth the money my boyfriend and I spent to be here after seeing the good reviews. Additionally, they had a Mongolian bbq station where you were able to choose your meats, veggies, and the amount of noodles to your liking.. I was SO excited for this but ended up not eating my plate due to cross contamination. I had told one of the men cooking that I was allergic to shellfish and they told me it was no problem and they'd have it cleaned for me... I guess something was lost in the crowds of people handing him plates that he mixed shrimp into my plate. It was bound to happen but sucked that even after alerting both cooks, it still happened. The chairs, tables, and people were so close together you're basically on the other person and eating their food. The cleaners were scrambling and couldn't figure out who should clean which tables. I would highly recommend that you instead spend half the amount of money on the same quality and quantity at China Wall Buffet in Concord only 1.1 miles away from this location. Again, I was HIGHLY disappointed to have spent over $60 on this less than decent dinner meal. I was in line to pay for 4 people and the cashier with a blonde hair decided to accommodate the people who just came in. When i told her i was in line, she said that all the people should be present. Like you have to reach over a bunch of stuff to get a mug because the coffee station, where the cups are, and the utensils are all pushed together on one island. We've visited this buffet a few times before and used to enjoy it, but after getting sick the last two visits, we won't be returning. The first time I got sick, I let it go. But last night, after dining with my family, I started feeling symptoms later that evening. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea that lasted through the night. It was a horrible experience and really concerning. Also, if you have kids, be aware of their pricing policy. They charge based on height, not age. My elementary school-aged kids were tall for their age, and we were charged full adult prices. That makes no sense. Just because a child is tall doesn't mean they eat like an adult. It's a frustrating and unfair policy. This will be our last visit, and we'll be warning our friends and family to avoid this place. If I give this negative star. I will since they deserved it. Updates: my 2 kids that ate here also got sick. Both threw up middle of the night and got stomach problem, that lead to my daughter getting a fever. The 2 stars I've left is only for the quality of food & the ambiance, which were good for the price you pay. However, my family & I were highly disappointed after dinner tonight. My son spit out a clipped FINGERNAIL from the clam chowder he was eating. It was most definitely, clearly a fingernail & not a seafood shell of any kind. I failed to get a photo of it because, at first, I didn't intend on making a public statement about it. I immediately brought the nail up to the man working at the host desk & told him I wasn't going to make a scene about the fingernail in the food but it was in the clam chowder and something needed to be done. He claimed he couldn't recognize what the item was & that he would get back to me. But he never made any contact nor did they bother to remove the pot of soup it was in. They knew and continued to allow patrons to keep eating from it. Such a shame that a new, nice establishment has poor food handling and even worst management when unsanitary items are found in the food. & to top it off, instead of doing anything they could to fix the situation and stop people from further consuming the soup, they greeted us as we were leaving saying "have a great night". The place was nice inside, a lot of seating but very crammed in there. There was an okay variety of food. Unfortunately the food I grabbed turned out to be cold. I went to grab a different set of food that looked to be full in the tray and my food still turned out to be cold. I'm assuming because the tray was overfilled so everything on top wasn't being warmed by the tray. There is an area for you to grab uncooked food for the chefs to make in front of you so that's what I ended up getting instead. I did get food poisoning the next day. we waited over an hour to get into this place and the hosts didn't have a plan where to seat us and did not tell us drinks were also self serve. the table they sat us at wasn't even wiped down. the table still had a toothpick and sauce from the previous person's meal! the ice cream is self serve so i saw a bunch of kids putting their hands into the ice cream while scooping. the pathway to walk is also extremely claustrophobic and crowded with little guidance on where to walk. the chocolate fountain was a mess and the drink fountain was expelling a dirty wet mop smell. also the hosts came to our table to say "your 90 minutes is almost up" with no sign or verbal policy about the time limit when we came in. i asked her "how much longer do we have?" and she just said "thanks for understanding" and walked away. hello? never coming back here. inside decor is pretty but this place needs better organization and the food is mid. read more

Honestly, I was really surprised by how much we enjoyed our meal here. The sushi (by buffet standards) was great, the cooked selection was delicious, seafood was fresh and cooked noodle bar was tasty. The only thing that was a bit of a miss was one of the soups but besides that everyone in my family (including the picky eaters) loved everything we had. The only thing we wished for was more selection but there's more than enough that you can't really try everything without getting full.
