I've been playing Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth on the PS5. One of the mini-game challenges that I stumbled upon was the Piano mini-game. Trying to get the Trophy on the PS5 for Piano Virtuoso, I noticed upon playing the mini game that one of my controllers had stick drift. After applying updates and the Bluetooth reconnection, it didn't work. After trying those steps, I decided to go to GameStop to pick up a new PS5 Controller. Looking on Yelp for GameStop locations near my residence, one of them was near the 215/Decatur in North Las Vegas, next to Walmart and Planet Fitness. There is spacious amount of parking spots available. This GameStop was open at 11:00 A.M on a Sunday. As soon as I walked in, the store had a very strong odor. I was the only customer inside and immediately went over to the PS5 hardware. The PS5 controllers had signs that you would select, for the specific color you wanted, and then you would bring that up to the register. The team member immediately provided the PS5 controller upon going up to the register. Check-out was a breeze. The team member was kind and had asked if I needed anything else before leaving the store. I'd stop by this GameStop location again if I needed to purchase any hardware or video games immediately. read more

I walked into the store and asked for 2 things, ps4 remotes and Pokémon cards. The guy behind the counter told me he was sold out of both, which is fine because I know how hard it is to get either right now. I decided to look around the store and as I was looking around the store a guy walks in and asked for Pokémon card just as I did, well the clerk suddenly says yes I have one pokeball with 3 packs in it that he just pulled out of a box. Now a smart employee would of asked the first first customer that asked for the cards if he would like to purchase them being that I'm standing right in front of him as he sold the cards to the guy that just walked in. This crap right here is why gamestops were on there way to bankruptcy, and I guess they didn't learn there lesson. I will never walk in a GameStop again. read more

They sell you damaged used equipment over and over. Worst customer service Ben and Erin. You guys are burying yourselves when it comes to people who want to shop in store. I can't even get my 21 year old to go because he always feels ripped off. They wanted to take the used and damaged PS4 they sold me as defective for $60 towards a new used and probably damaged system again. $299 more for the 3rd time I've had to return the system ...Lol. Gamestop reeks of teen angst, muffled farts, and B.O. Seriously, the place usually smells funky (don't get me started on those midnight releases!). Some days the force is stronger than other days, you know? I digress. So this Gamestop is located off Decatur and the 215 in the massive Walmart shopping center. This store is our go-to for picking up video games and consoles. Me and my gamer enthusiast husband are pretty loyal to Gamestop because of their Power Up Pro rewards program. You rack up points by making purchases on stuff you already buy and get rewarded with coupons and points you can redeem online. I'd highly recommend upgrading to Pro status ($14.99) because you get 10% bonus points and credit, plus a subscription to Game Informer. Honestly not a fan of this location. I called them to see if they had any Nintendo switches, they said they did and I asked for them to hold it for me so I could come grab it. I got into the store and the associate tells me "we don't sell Nintendo switches here" so I thought "oh shoot must have come to the wrong location" so then I looked at the number I called and address and it was the correct store. They associate was extremely rude. And then GUESS WHAT??? I had my husband call the exact same place about 3 min later and they said yes we sell Nintendo switches here. So he walked in and they had one, so I walked in and said "I thought you didn't sell these here?" The associate said, "well it's the last one" and I said ya okay that's cool and all, but you told me you don't sell them nor would you be getting a supply of them. He told me to stop being a "Karen" lol but I didn't think I was rude or in the wrong. The associate just flat out lied to me so I called him out on it and he didn't like that very much. We went in to buy a game, my boyfriend forgot his ID at the house and they told us you needed an ID to buy a game lol. Apparently you need to be 17 and older to buy a game. The girl with the dready looking hair was very rude though. Don't forget your ID if you're trying to buy a game from here :) they'll get you on it. read more

Been here to this location a couple times and both my experiences have been extreme. I think the fact that Gamestop has numerous locations gives you the perception that whatever you experience at that particular location carries over to the next and so forth. To be fair, there has been some other locations that I have gotten good service so my reviews for those locations will be put into writing at a later time. For now its all about this location. First time I came here, all wanted to get was a gift card for my nephew. It was a Saturday morning around 11 am in February. I grabbed a Gamestop gift card and proceeded to the register. Since I was the only one there, I thought I would be out in a jiffy. Nope. Didn't happen. Dude behind the counter was talking to somebody on the phone. At first I thought he was helping out a customer looking up games on the computer. After a couple minutes I realized he was talking to his friend about what games he could get the most discounts on. I got his attention by waving the gift card several times. After he noticed, he said he would be with me in a minute. Liar. Try 5. Finally, after talking about so many games with his employee discount, he hung up and tended to my needs. All I wanted was to put 50 bucks on a freakin gift card. I mean, he probably could of done that while talking on the phone and it wasn't even a customer. I left that day wanting to do a 1 star review based off of that. I guess these guys are lucky I blew it off because just recently, with bad assumptions already going through my head, I had to make another trip here. This time I needed to get a new copy of Call of Duty Ghosts for my neighbor's kid because it was his birthday coming up. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and was asked if I needed anything. I had to do a double take and look around thinking was this the same store I went to just weeks ago. So I got what I needed and was out the door in record time. Funny thing was that there were several other customers getting ready to check out as well so I would say they were definitely a lot more busy this day then when I had the bad experience that day when I was here by myself. So from 1 star to 5 on two visits averages out to a 3. I just don't understand why one visit was a disaster then all of a sudden its all roses the next. Went to purchase a new xbox one controller grabbed the product box off the shelf took it to the register and little behold associate claimed they were entirely out of stock. Makes no sense to display a product for sale you don't carry. Best Buy was right across the street and had what I wanted in fact they had multiple designs ended up choosing a different one that caught my attention and grabbing a new ps4 controller as well because the product was right there not a display box. read more

Stopped in here the other day after not having been to this store for about 5 years because of the previous staff. The new staff I interacted with seems a lot better. I have been going to Gamestop all over town as I've lived here a long time. This location is my new one since I just moved to the area and I've never been treated so horrible. George is a rude person. We were in there making an almost $100.00 purchase and he acted like he didn't want us in there. Barking the total at us in between his conversation on the phone. We could've drove to where I had actually pre-ordered our games but chose to just purchase it here. If it's a staffing issue the manager should work on scheduling better. Never had an issue with this location. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. The pricing is standard for all locations depending if getting new or used games. In other words, it's reasonable. They have a huge selection of games and not once were they out of stock for something I wanted. Fortunately, the last game I bought from them was The Division. Unfortunately, I won't be back to any gamestop in a while due to being glued to this game for hours on end. ...and I still haven't gotten half way through Fallout 4. Ha! read more

I had just bought an item from a different GameStop about a hour or so before going to this one. I found a better price online and decided to return the item to get my money back. When I got there the gentleman asked me and my girlfriend if we needed help. We said yes we are here to return an item. He looked at our two items and rudely said loudly, while he walked away looking at stuff, "we don't do returns for collectibles." I waited for him to come back to the counter. He said again "Guys we don't do returns on items. I can give you an exchange but we can't do returns on collectibles." We left and got a return hassle free from a different GameStop. I'm not sure why he was so rude and where he came up with that policy because that was not written anywhere on the return policy that was on our receipt. Run as fast as you can! I bought my son a PSP from the this gamestop, and paid for the extended warranty. His PSP lasted 1 month past the warranty date for a total of 13 months. Of course when i called it was not there problem. I have spent a small fortune there over the years but now i will be taking my money else where. They do not look out for there customers! read more
